The reviews seem to be for saffron!? Is this really mace, or is it nutmeg?

I did a little research - Mace is a waxy Red covering that surrounds Nutmeg seeds. The flavor is similar to the Nutmeg itself with a hint of pepper that can be used in desert to savory roasted meat. Punchy!

Wow this is punchy! I had been craving the flavor unique to stick donuts, but couldn't duplicate it at home. Then an internet search suggested mace, a spice I've never used and rarely even see in the wild. Let me tell you, this is the spice I was looking for. A little goes a long way, so under an ounce should last me about 92 years. So all in all, a great value, lol. It tastes like nutmeg's feisty older sister who's lived an exciting life of adventure. Plus, the jar has the name MACE printed on the lid, which makes it easy to identify among other spice jars.
