Reduces litter tracking significantly and easy to clean
Been using this for a week now. For the first few days our cat would jump straight out the hole so the litter just flew out and the lid didn’t catch much lol. As time went on though, our cat stopped jumping straight out and started slowly climbing out instead. Using it as it was intended to be like in the video. So it works perfectly now and it catches about 90% of the litter from her paws. We also have a small litter catcher rug in front to catch the remaining ones. The cleaning part is easy as well. Just pop open the lid, or you can even use the hole to scoop it out. The smell of poop is about the same as other cat litter boxes. Initially it would smell for about 3 mins but If your cat covers it well then the smell should dissipate fast. Pros: - easy to clean - looks very cute/modern/sleek - decent size - cat seems to like it too - lid does great job at catching litter - super easy to set up. The lid is pretty sturdy once it’s locked. - Sturdy and quality build Cons: - small poop scooper (BUT not a deal breaker because you can get a better one somewhere else). It works tho, one poop/pee clump at a time lol. - (maybe for some) but the shape is oval so it can’t be directly on a corner of a room. And if you want to use a rug in front to catch more litter there will be a gap because it’s not straight. You can also buy an extra large litter catching mat to put the whole thing under instead of in front. Overall pretty good litter box!! I’m very happy with it. Such a huge upgrade from our previous litter box. 5 stars so far and even though they’re cons, I didn’t take stars off because it wasn’t a dealbreaker for me. If anything breaks I will update of how long I used it.

Best littler box we've had
I bought this litter box on June 24, 2018, so after a year I've decided to give my review. I have a 12 year old male cat and was looking for a new littler box. I've had several cats over my lifetime (as a kid and adult) so i've tried several different litter box designs. We had been using a really large box with a lid/cover and flap door. It was getting so smelly all the time (even though we cleaned it regularly) and he would end up peeing on the sides. It seemed no matter how large the box, it was just a mess. And I mentioned the smell...well, i thought with a covered litter box, it would keep the smell in, but not so sure now. I had though about using just an open pan, but we have dog (who started to discover how to push the flap and get his head in there). Also, I wasn't keen on litter being kicked all over the floor. I went online in search of a solution. I ran across this one and read through almost all of the reviews. I decided to give it a try, and got the large one. It's been a year and I still believe this to be the best litter box i've found. He adapted really quick to the top entry. His head can stick out the top if he needs it to. He no longer pees on the sides. On top of all that, the smell is practically gone. Maybe it's the design, or the "open" top that allows odor to dissipate rather than be trapped and get worse, I don't know but i'm impressed and very satisfied. We use the Arm & Hammer Litter as well and clean at least once a week. Also, our dog isn't tall enough (or brave enough?) to get on the box and get his head in there, so that issues is solved as well. And, it get's better.... We just adopted a kitten. He's been used to the small open pans in foster care. He took to the open top easily as well. Since he's a little tyke and too rambunctious to leave out at night, we keep him in the bathroom so we can all sleep. I tried a small pan at first, but he's a kitten and likes to REALLY throw that litter around. So....I purchased the small version of this box to keep in there overnight (pull it out and put it away during the day so he uses the big one). Kittens are cute, but they can be stinky. Once again, this box comes through. And again, little to no litter scattered everywhere. The boxes are easy to use for getting the top off, cleaning, and they look nice. I got the white one with the tan/beige. I keep it in the front room of our house - which would never have happened with the other boxes. No smell, no tracking, doesn't look like a litter box, easy to maintain.

After 7 other litter boxes, this is the VERY BEST & LEAST EXPENSIVE! Even our tripod loves it!
EDIT: We now have three of these for our two cats, and even our tripod cat loves it! We recently adopted a cat who had to have her left back leg amputated before we got her, and I was worried that she would not be able to use this litter box since she has lost half of her "jump" power, so I brought out a lower tray litter box for her. However, she refused to use the tray one and figured out quickly how to use this one, so we got two more of them so they'll always have options. Wish I'd found these long ago--they're the best litter boxes we've ever had. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I've purchased 8 litter boxes in the last year, spending over $500 on them all. I'm so excited to say that I've FINALLY found the very best one! And the fact that it's the least expensive of all the ones I've purchased is the icing on the cake. This litter box is so perfect precisely because of its simplicity. My cat loves to kick his litter everywhere. So, after 5 boxes that had varying degrees of high walls, I realized I needed to get a full enclosure box. This is the third I've gotten. The first two had walls + top you assembled and a pull out bottom tray. DO NOT GET THOSE! The assembled walls have thin open spaces that still allow litter to get out, and the bottom trays only slide out after you have manually brushed the litter inside them flat. Then, I was having to use a large paint brush to remove all the litter he'd kicked up onto the horizontal ledges all over the inside of the walls. And, even after doing that, it made a mess EVERYWHERE when trying to sift the litter clean. This is an extremely straight forward box. No bottom tray (yay!) no crevices for litter to get caught or kicked into = NO MESS AT ALL! I've had to keep honeycomb mats under the previous boxes to trap the litter he got in his paws, but this one has the ridges built into the top to catch it all before he steps off it. Brilliant design, super easy to remove the top, and such a cinch to clean! I let my cat play in it for about 6 hours before filling it up, just to be sure he would like it. He loves it. The hole is also big enough for a large cat---I'd say up to 20 lbs or so. My cat is 10 lbs and there's a huge amount of space for him. And the box itself is also definitely big enough for average Maine Coons, if you were wondering. But its rounded shape means it takes up considerably less floor space than square boxes. A truly innovative design, as litter boxes go.

Good if your cat will use top entrys
I bought this because it looks nice and its very large but one of my cats decided top entry boxes weren't for her and she would rather poop on my rug. So I did end up getting rid of it, however when I did have it, my other cat used it a lot and it did a decent job of catching litter off her paws as long as she jumped out in the right direction. I put it in a corner to try and encourage her to jump out onto the lid part and it did help but on occasion she would jump out of the unobstructed side. The lid can be a little finicky trying to latch it in while feeling a little grossed out by touching the litter covered top. So maybe gloves would help with that. The scoop is kind of small and flimsy but isnt the worst. Overall its not bad, it looks really nice for a covered box and its roomy.

Honestly worth every penny.
This litter box is my cats favorite one. I have four and they all prefer it. It's fun for them to dig at the top, keeps some litter from tracking. Is super stable and great quality. I love that it came with a little scoop but the holes were too big for me so I bought a different one. This is easy to clean and tall enough for my cats to stand in. Holds plenty of litter. Worth the money and would buy again AND recommend to others.

Great litter box
I got this litter box about a year and a half ago or so for my two cats. I’ve absolutely loved this box since I got it. Since it’s a closed top it has helped us with litter tracking tremendously, we put a litter catcher mat under it for the litter that does get on the floor, but it’s minimal and that issue has pretty much resolved itself, plus most of the litter that does make it out of the box falls off cats paws onto the top of the box with the ridges it has. I was a bit skeptical about how sturdy the box was going to be since reading reviews before I bought it, but it’s been over a year now and we’ve had no problems with it falling apart or breaking in any way, my one boy is almost 17lbs now and still no issues, I believe this box was just made really well or I’m getting lucky. It helps tremendously with the smell too, I’ve noticed that compared to my other open litter box it traps most smells and my home and the bathroom it’s in stays smelling clean, unless you were to get the box rancid but I think a responsible cat owner won’t have that problem! It’s easy to clean, sleek looking, cats can’t kick litter out of it, easily accessible when going to clean, and you don’t have to stare at litter every time you see it! My cats love it, if they haven’t changed the manufacturing of the box 11/10 recommend I wouldn’t get another box unless it was that litter robot or something! Update: still going strong as of 9/21/2025!

This was probably one of the best purchases I have made In. My. Entire. Life. To start, I felt the need to mention that I hardly leave typed reviews-- but this beauty box absolutely warranted one! I have three loving tomcats. Two are well above 13lbs, while the third is way smaller - I'd say about 5lbs. They all use one litter box. Now I know what you're thinking. "Three male cats using ONE litterbox?? INSANITY!!!" No, it's not nearly as bad as you think. But before I bought this, I had a traditional colossal-sized that had the side door. Nothing fancy, just huge. It came with one of those cheap doors, but they would not enter with it on. They just did not like it. I don't know why but every single time they used the box, they would jump out with litter dust too. It would be all over the bathroom floor. It happens so much that the handheld vaccum that I kept in there had to be replaced with an actual vaccum. I have OCD with compulsive cleaning, so I would vaccum multiple times a day. The thought of stepping on any litter bits sends in a spiral. But I'm not even halfway done. Whenever my fiancé would replace the litter, the boys will have a field day. Typical, right? However, my smallest cat...I swesr thst little guy has horse legs! Before he would go, he would kick and splash all inside the darn thing. And he would do it for almost an hour! Constantly digging as if it were some sort of game! You can hear the litter flying OUT of the box and smacking against the bathroom closet wall. Every. Time. And because of this, when they would go number #2, it would smell a billion times worse--because there would be little to zero litter to cover it! BECAUSE ITS ALL AGAINST THE WALL!!! It may sound silly but this was affecting not only me, but my fiance as he constantly had to make trips to get new litter. The crashing sound of fresh litter smacking the bathroom wall in the middle of the night. Me constantly vacuuming. Litter feet. Ugh. This is where our new savior was blessed upon us **WHERE THE ACTUAL REVIEW BEGINS** It is huge. PERFECT. I have three cats and two of them are very big boys. (two 1yr 15lbs each and one 7mo 5lb.) At first they were really skeptical of it's presence. What I had to do was to put a couple treats inside the box, without litter. I also put a couple toys inside, to show that this thing was completely harmless. It took a moment, but two of them were taking turns hopping in and out of it! Bliss! The third still was having trust issues, and refused to enter. So my fiance decided to put it to the true test and actually put litter in it. And to my surprise, they were trying to use it AS he were placing the litter inside! They jump through the hole with ease. The ridges on the lid help a ton with shaving off excess litter off their paws. (We cut their nails every 2 weeks so that'll help too.) And just incase we still have litter catch mats placed underneath. everything had been bliss since this purchase. Now there will be tiny bits of litter here and there on the main bathroom floor, but that's it. Nothing more! I've finally put away my large heavy duty vaccum as there is no need anymore. My little guy still has his litter-kicking-digging-splash fest, and every bit of it is contained. This box prevents splash 100%. And I have noticed that the smell has been covered better! The lock feature is so easy to use - just push the two side buttons in and lift the top. Easy!!!!! This litter box has saved my Mentality !! NO LITTER FEET!!! THANK YOU AMAZON

No More Kickin' Litter
I recently upgraded my cat's litter box to the IRIS Top Entry Cat Litter Box, and it has been a game-changer for both my feline friend and me. This innovative design has not only improved the overall cleanliness of my home but also provided my cat with a private and stress-free bathroom experience. Paired with a no-trail litter, it eliminates the majority of tracking! The top-entry design is a brilliant solution to contain litter scatter. Unlike traditional open litter boxes, the high walls of the IRIS Top Entry box prevent my cat from kicking litter out onto the floor. This means less mess and more time enjoying the company of my furry friend without worrying about constant cleanup. Privacy is paramount for cats, and the enclosed nature of this litter box provides just that. The top entry not only gives my cat a sense of security but also ensures that odors are better contained. The grooved lid helps to trap any loose litter on my cat's paws, preventing it from being tracked around the house. Cleaning this litter box is a breeze. The smooth, rounded interior makes it easy to scoop out soiled litter, and the non-stick surface ensures that clumps don't stick to the sides. The durable construction also means that it's built to last, offering excellent value for the investment. I appreciate the thoughtful design details, such as the textured lid, which doubles as a walk-off mat to capture any remaining litter. The top handle is a convenient feature that allows for easy lifting and moving when it's time for a thorough cleaning. As a pet owner, I'm delighted with the IRIS Top Entry Cat Litter Box. It combines functionality with a sleek and modern design, making it an attractive addition to any room. If you're looking to upgrade your cat's bathroom situation while keeping your home cleaner and more odor-free, the IRIS Top Entry Cat Litter Box is a purr-fect choice!

Good size and stops mess.
This product works brilliantly. Took cat a couple of try’s to get used to it but it’s big enough for a full grown cat to use. Emptying is a little tricky as it’s large size makes it harder to hold but other than that it’s perfect. Comes with litter tool with hook so it can be placed on side of tray. Now my dogs can’t tip the tray over or attempt to eat it’s contents and the cat doesn’t rip up the carpet by digging around the edges of the tray or bring half the litter out onto the floor. Definitely a tidier type of tray!

Clean floor, much less smell, cats love it!
I was worried when I purchased this in case my cats didn't like it, because it is not the cheapest choice out there, but I am so pleased I did. I bought at the same time a large rubber mat to put in front as I am used to treading in so much litter brought out of my old litter tray, but this has so little mess outside the litter tray that I almost didn't need it. The amount of litter on my floor now is reduced by 99% with this litter tray and the mat. However, the amount would have been reduced by 90% with this tray alone. The amount of smell that I used to get from my front opening tray is reduced by 70%, which is fantastic. It looks very attractive, and you do not know it is a litter tray. I have people ask what it is. I am so pleased with this purchase and wouldn't change it for the world!
