Hi Yes this are for 2002 Toyota tundra rear wheel drive. They work very nice. They are 3 time's bigger then the shock that come on the truck.. They have a lot better piston in them.. Hope this help you .. Ps. I had 200 pound in the back of my 2002 Toyota tundra and with these new shock you do not know that the 200 pound even was in back of the truck..

There is a chance your old coil springs were sagging. In that case, you may not be getting a lift, but returning to factory stance instead. The springs hold up the vehicle, so if they are new getting a bit more height wouldn’t surprise me. If springs are the old ones, look at how the coil is seated and make sure the spring end is settled into the right place. Look at top and bottom placement of the spring and don’t forget to check out a manual for correct placement.

this shock can fit a 96 4runner, IF you change out the bottom bushing to fit the larger 4runner shock mount and you have longer springs and you get longer bump stops.
