Western Digital 2TB WD Blue Mobile Hard Drive HDD - 5400 RPM, SATA 6 Gb/s, 128 MB Cache, 2.5" - WD20SPZX

HDDs in 2025!? Heck yeah! While not particularly as fast as modern SSDs in random access, the performance is still great for old SATA interface. In linux I disable my swap, but Windows just doesn't work without some swap file, and I'm not going to swap to my main SSD. Thankfully my laptop can boot from mSATA and still has a 2.5" low profile SATA drive slot, where this WD 2T neatly fits. 2T of storage is greatly appreciated in a portable to store all my files on the go where there's no cheap internet access, while also great to direct swap, all logs, and other write-intensive files to the HDD to keep writes low for my old boot SSD. I'm really thankful that WD still keeps making HDDs for these kinds of uses.

Works perfect in the EUFY homebase three you could have alerts set high on five cameras and it would take three months before it starts over writing IN NON CONTINUOUS MODE

I purchased this drive for use in my eufy home base for my security cameras. I first bought a different drive, but I was not paying enough attention when I ordered that one. It had the wrong interface(connections to the device) and I destroyed that drive when I tried to install it. I re-read the instructions on my device and ordered this SATA drive as is required. It took almost 3 wks to receive because of some system glitch that held the order. Once I spoke to Amazon, they released it manually and I received it 3 days later. It fit without any resistance and the device instantly read & recognized it and asked to format it. It is working exactly as expected and I can now record 24/7 with my new floodlight dual camera. I dontanticipats any issues down the road. This hard-drive is well built, easy to handle, easy to install, and performs extremely well. It is a great purchase for the money.

What can you say about an HDD these days? Specially as a secondary storage unit. Great price to performance, nice capacity. It replaced the one I had on mi laptop (same model) that suddenly died. I would recommend it.

The product is great. It works perfectly and arrived brand new. My only complaint is the delivery. I had to wait almost 10 days for it to arrive, which is really disappointing, especially since I pay for Prime. Even eBay delivers faster.

I bought this for my Eufy Homebase 3. It works great so far. Here are some things to keep in mind. The hard drive comes with multiple partitions. As a result, the Eufy app wasn't able to format the hard drive properly. I had to connect the hard drive to my PC and format it with the Disk Management tool (Win+X > Disk Management). Delete each volume until the entire hard drive shows as Unallocated. Create a new simple volume (NTFS). Allow it to be assigned a drive letter. I named the drive "Eufy". I then installed it in the Homebase (be sure to unplug it first) and then used the app to format it. It wasn't successful on the first try but it worked on the second try.

works great in my Eufy homebase

I bought the 2.5" 2TB bare drive to replace the 500GB drive in my Dell Inspiron 15. Despite some negative reviews I ordered this anyway. It came a day earlier than expected and was packed in a sealed antistatic bag in a box wrapped with bubble protector and shipped in a padded packing envelope. Good care in shipping. A sticker on the outside of the antistatic bag read "2 yr warranty by Hard Drive Geeks." So if the drive does fail I won't be calling WD but contacting the Geeks. As far as hard drives go, they are all a gamble. Over the years I've had hard drives fail, but WD ones seemed to be the best, so I prefer them to Seagate. ….I put the bare drive into my USB drive dock and connected the USB to my laptop. I then used the free Hard Drive clone utility Macrium Reflect I downloaded from CNET Downloads. This is on a Windows 10 x64 system. All I did was choose the current hard drive, click Clone and then click the new HD in my dock as the destination. The software ran flawlessly and copied my whole drive in about 5 1/2 hrs. Then I shut the laptop down, unplugged it, took out the old drive and put the new 2TB drive in. Works perfectly, and I will then use the Windows resizing utility on the remaining space for storage. If you don't know how to remove or install a hard drive just put in your computer model and type hard drive installation on youtube, there are a ton of videos. Overall I am very happy with this product. If the drive starts acting up I will update the review. In the meantime I have put the original hard drive in a protective case for storage in case I ever need to put it back in for an emergency.

Before installing and replacing my old hard drive with this one, I ran some tests. The hard drive is truly new and in perfect condition, no cosmetic and no internal damage was pressent when it came. I ran a speed test and it was quite a good speed for a hard drive. The noise level is very low, the hard drive can be very slightly heard when it is on heavy load. I am very happy with this product since no faults have occurred so far and the quality it came in. I did try to register the warranty for this product on Western Digital official website but it said that the product was already registered but I wouldn't worry about that because I believe it's due to the fact that Amazon takes care of any problems relating the warranty. I do recommend to buy this hard drive.

Works perfectly, and great value for money as I've found with all Crucial products, as I have 2 Crucial SSD's, and another Crucial NvME SSD drive. No noise whatsoever, being an SSD. Just install, partition, and you're good to go
