The process for fixing this is a bit tedious. Please be careful when taking off the gasket rubber ring. Also I think that the screw driver should be a little bigger. When screwing off the motherboard you might need to press hard and trun the screw at the same. Other then that everything is good.

Repair was straightforward if a somewhat involved set of steps - check the YouTube video to see of your comfortable doing it yourself. The part fit and the spunger and screwdriver worked perfectly. Much cheaper than buying a new pair of headphones, for sure!

I broke the right hinge after 3 years of solid use on the XM4s. Sony quoted $150+tax for it's repair. It's almost half of the price of the new ones. Isn't this madness? For $20, this made my headphones as good as new. It took about 20 minutes to take the headphones apart, replace the hinge, and put everything back together. The whole disassembly process looks way scarier than it is, but at the same time you have to be gentle and careful because of the wires. What do I even review about this product? It's cheap. It works exactly like the original. Can't say anything about durability, but based on initial impressions, these feel sturdy enough like the original. Screw all these repair centers and OEMs ripping people off for even the simplest repairs.
