Autoglym Polar Blast, Concentrate Thick Snow Foam, 2.5L

I bought this AutoGlym Polar Blast after getting a pressure washer, as I'm now in charge of keeping the cars clean. I have to say, I'm really impressed with it. One thing I noticed is that the instructions recommend using 200ml, but I found that just 100ml was more than enough to produce a nice, thick, effective snow foam, so it should last a lot longer than expected. It loosened dirt really well, even helping to remove bird poo that had dried on and that the pressure washer alone couldn't shift. It also did a great job lifting brake dust and left the car looking really clean. Overall, it's well worth the money. It works brilliantly, lasts longer than I expected because I use less than the recommended amount, and I'll definitely be buying it again.

This is a good very good product which creates lots of foam at the recommended dosage. It cleans all the tough dirt, just bu rinsing with a pressure washer or just a hose pipe. Very quick, rinses easily, streak-free pre-wash. However, the autoglym hand held foam gun does not work so well, so you need a foam gun that attaches to a pressure washer to achieve a good foam cover

It's not the very best one on the market but it's pretty effective and gives plenty of foam. Make sure you shake it. 2.5l is good value when on offer. Certainly makes a difference vs just pressure washing it with water, especially on softening bugs and heavy mud. When the car hasn't been dirty and I've been in a hurry, or I'm just getting salt off, I've just used this and the pressure washer and it's given reasonable results compared to a dirty car but I do spend a few hours every weekend cleaning mine. Even does a reasonable job on the wheels without scrubbing them. I use a very diluted spray of this on my soft top roof and it is gentle enough not to strip the waterproofing.

Really great stuff.......initially I used too much and the foam hung around on my drive for two days. I learnt that you dont need much to achieve stunning results. Should be a staple in every detailers arsenal. Regards E.R.

I wash my vehicle a lot, and use a battery powered jet wash, the polar blast works great, and really foams up of the body work. Also very easy to jet washer off once you have given the foam a good going over with a big mitt. Autoglym product perfect as always.

The Story: I’m a bucket and sponge kind-a-gal and have always used Autoglym products on all the vehicles I’ve owned including both my Mercedes A Class and BMW 1 Series. I now have an Audi A3 which I absolutely adore over and above my previous car ownerships and decided to overhaul my car cleaning regime, which meant doing away with the potential swirl/scratch making sponge and adopting the kinder cloths and two bucket system. Being aware of the damage that hand washing can do if the car is not thoroughly rinsed initially to dislodge any dirt with a standard pressure washer, thus removing grime before applying (in the past) the dreaded sponge and shampoo, I considered the Polar Trio Collection from Autoglym. Not being one for gimmicks I always used the pressure washer with plain water to remove the grime before washing, but having fallen passionately in love with my Audi I decided to forego my resistance to ‘marketing gimmickry’ and give this range a try. The Products: The Autoglym Polar Blast is a Pre-Wash only; that is to say; to be used BEFORE the actual shampoo washing of the car. I have a Kärcher pressure washer so purchased Kärcher's snow foam attachment along with the Autoglym pre-wash. Followed Autoglym’s instructions to the letter regarding dilution as I have never used foaming products before; and left the foam on the car for fifteen minutes (which is five minutes beyond what they recommend - to my mind the longer the better) then rinsed off with plain water via the washer wand. On inspection, by gliding a finger over the paintwork, found that all the grime had been soaked off and washed away ready for the shampooing to follow. However, extremely dirty wheels require you to agitate with a wheel brush or whatever you use for your wheels, soaking alone with the pre-wash isn't enough to loosen the dirt. The Autoglym Polar Wash - as I have some Autoglym Bodywork Shampoo Conditioner remaining in my cleaning arsenal, decided to use this up before buying the Polar Wash, so cannot comment on that stage of the cleaning regime at present - but will update when I do. The Autoglym Polar Seal was applied using the foaming attachment once the car was washed and rinsed - it is a pressure wash coating, being a highly hydrophobic (repellent) formulation for a quick high-gloss finish - allowed it to sit for the required time of three minutes. It dried to the most reflective showroom shine imaginable. The verdict: I will continue to wash the car weekly using the two bucket method. Once a month, or when the car gets exceptionally dirty due to harsh weather conditions, I will use the Polar Range for even more thorough cleaning and making the task easier (!) The result was far beyond my expectations for something deemed by me to be a gimmick. I have always been a loyal fan of Autoglym and this pressure washer range and the consequential results have reinforced that loyalty - not that it was needed. Don’t take my word for it, try it yourself; if you don’t want to spend money on the 1ltr and 2.5ltr packages, there is a trial pack that can be purchased consisting of 500ml each of Polar Blast, Polar Wash and Polar Seal; look for Autoglym VP3PC Polar Collection. The above narrative is my opinion only and does not in any way represent Autoglym, Kärcher or Amazon EU S.à.r.L. 2023.05.31: I received an enquiry today regarding how many washes would a 2.5ltr bottle do and thought that my answer would be useful here, this was my response: 250ml of mixed solution Polar Wash/water should be enough to cover an average sized car. Therefore working on that premise and that Autoglym do not recommend using a dilution stronger than 50:50, 125ml of shampoo per wash would equate to twenty car washes from a 2.5 litre pack.

Amazing product that works perfectly with my foam cannon. I’ve already purchased it twice and will definitely be ordering again. It lasts a long time and keeps my X5’s PPF protected, scratch-free, and looking brand new. The container is also very durable and holds up well even under tough shipping conditions. Highly recommended and worth every penny.

If you want to cover your car in a snow like substance, this is great. If you want to wash your car, this won't do much. While I want to believe it is able to remove dirt, I've used it several times and have rinsed it off only to see all the light dirt remain. Just use your regular car wash if you still want some sort of "pre-wash".

A bit expensive but works nice. Produces a dense foam and cleans well.

Work as advertised. I have a ceramic coating & it is the only soap that stays on the car, loving it.

It’s a little pricey for soap, but I wanted to try something new. Does a good job as a foam cannon pre-wash dealing with much of the road accumulation, setting up for a proper mitt wash.
