It WORKS!
This is a WONDERFUL products! It WORKS! I started with small 2-3 minute sessions per day with my little chihuahua, while offering treats in between. Ziggy's back teeth were completely covered in tarter and now they are all clean and white! I have worked with him for 3 weeks every day- consistency is the key. Now he lets me clean them without treats. Love this product!

Worked Great for THIS ONE Trusting Poodle
My 2 YO standard poodle had a lot of plaque build-up, so the vet recommended a cleaning. As with all the dogs I’ve owned, I was concerned about having her put under anesthesia for such a simple procedure and the cost to do it. Luckily, before breaking down and making an appointment, I saw a recommendation for a dental cleaning kit on a holistic dog care Facebook page. I groom my own dogs and this girl is very calm and obedient when letting me around her mouth to brush her teeth and is also used to the sound and feel of a nail grinder, clippers and high velocity dryer. I happen to have a manual dental tool. As a test, she let me scrape on a tooth with it. I really don’t know how to clean teeth and was afraid of cutting her gums or damaging her teeth so so went no further than that. But since she let me go that far, I figured a kit with all the proper attachments and an auto shut off was needed. I ordered this product based on features, reviews and price. I showed her the tool, turned it on, let her see the light from it and hear the sound it makes by touching it to the little wrench that comes with the kit. It only turns on when it is in contact with a hard surface. I then turned it off and touched the end to her gum line and tapped her teeth with it. After no reaction from her, I turned it on “soft “ and when she didn’t even flinch, I got to work. We started out with her standing on the grooming table, but eventually moved her to a bed where she could lay on her side. She would not lay on the grooming table and I was not going yo force her. I worked 5 to 10 minutes at a time over several days. I was able to move up to the normal setting and a little stronger for the big patches. The plaque sometimes broke off in little sheets. I brush her teeth several times a week, so was amazed that the plaque was so thick and how white and shiny her teeth were underneath. It’s awkward trying to work on the back teeth, one hand is needed to pull the lips back to expose the tooth, the other hand to hold the tool in the right position to shine the light on the tooth and also to keep it at the right angle for it to be most effective. She would naturally bring her foot up which would block my view. I found that it worked best when she was positioned where the top of the tooth was closest to me. So when working on top teeth, her back was facing me. When working on bottom teeth, her legs were facing me. Just be gentle and calm. Light touches moving back and forth or up and down will break up the plaque. Of course, every good dog parent is sweet and gentle with their pets. So, naturally don’t react to the noise or their reactions or force the dog to stay still or do anything that will cause the dog to try to get away or break their trust in you. It seems counterproductive when cleaning teeth, but give treats if food motivated. I need to check YouTube for videos to get more pointers on how to use all the attachments. I was most successful with the pointed pick and beveled flat. Don’t get me wrong, she did not like what was happening. She’s just a good dog that aims to please and hear “good girl”, trusts me and lives for the liver treats at the end. Truthfully, she is a little wary of me right now when I tell her to get on the grooming table. She goes, but I will have to make sure to not bring out the dental kit for a lot of months to rebuild that trust. This will not work for every dog. My daughter’s laid back doodle, whom I also groom, would have nothing to do with it. I think this was partly due to my daughter freaking out over the sound and the dog reacting to that. I haven’t tried it on my other poodle yet because she just had a vet cleaning while under anesthesia for another surgical procedure. I predict she will not let me near her with it. A calming chew first may be in order some other time. I’ve never tried those though. Even if it takes a minute every day for a month to get to all the teeth— there is no anesthesia, no stressful vet visit, not to mention the savings. For 30 bucks vs 400, I call this a big win.

this tool did a great job!
...with 2 senior 9+yr old fur babies, putting them under for teeth cleaning was not an option. Both of them have only half their teeth left and the tartar (and smell) was too much to even sit next to them while watching tv. I have bathed, groomed and handled them for several years, so I believed they trust me enough to do their teeth too. This item arrived quickly(thanks Amazon) I nervously prepped the kitchen counter with paper towels and a small spray bottle of water. The cleaning tools are strong and useful. The unit is simple, easy to charge and strong. Joey (malti-terrier) went first and used the pointed tool to "floss" and clean in between. Then I used the tool....the tartar came off very slowly but steady--his was thin and less of it. The vibration and sound was not bad but you should talk to them and hold their jaw firmly but gently and use your fingers to keep their lips out of the way of each tooth. Sprayed water to rinse and watched how much better he looked!! Janey (malti-poo) had the worst teeth and breath...she was squirmy but settled in once she knew what I was doing. Her tartar was thicker so it came off in chunks JUST like in the video. Had to spray and rinse her mouth faster because she wanted to lick. Her teeth came out stunning and WAY less smell ! Note: it is much easier on the top row than the bottom and back due to not getting the correct angle. You need slight more pressure than you think, but once the tartar starts coming off you want to finish their whole mouth. But short sessions seem best. What an awesome tool !! Now we don't have to worry about going to the Vet for cleanings for our 2 babies. This Dog Mom is proud!! Great price and was totally worth it!! *thumbs up* kcj Nashville, TN 11.29.25

Really cool tool that does the job!
This is actually really freaking good. Make sure your pup is comfortable with you touching their teeth and bringing/touching objects to it like a toothbrush. This does not make a sound when it is just on, but it will on any hard surface. I tried it out on my nail just to see how loud it is but it only makes a high pitch noise from the vibrations. I first used the scraper one of the additional hand tools to get whatever plaque I could and to get my pup used to the more aggressive approach to prep for the actual remover. I was able to use it on my pup and she kind of jumped from the initial contact and noise like the whirring/zzzzz noises you hear at the dentists but way more quieter. After some conditioning and treats, she got used to it. And boy did it get all the stuck on plague. This thing does a great job and got the rest of the really stuck on plaque off in no time! The device is about the same size as a human electric toothbrush and a little awkward to hold at the right angle sometimes. I would definitely recommend as long as you properly condition your pup to allow you to use it on them. The attachments are SHARP so any wrong move and you could potentially hurt your pup or yourself.

Can’t charge item, great product, but unusable
This product is wonderful! It works really well with multiple strength settings. It only vibrates when touching an actual tooth, so it does not damage the gums if too close. The only reason I am giving it three stars is because the USB-C tip is much longer than a normal USB-C. With that said, the tip has broken, and I am no longer able to charge it because my normal size sized USB-C tips do not reach the internal mechanism. I am left with a great product that I cannot charge.

It actually works!
I have to say I was skeptical when I purchased this, but the price was worth a shot. I wish I had before pictures, but this has done wonders for my dog’s teeth. He’s 12 and has cancer so I don’t want to put him under anesthesia for an elective procedure. This certainly doesn’t replace a more thorough cleaning and oral exam at the vet, but is a great option if that isn’t possible for whatever reason. It makes a high pitched noise that my dog doesn’t love, but he tolerates it. If your dog won’t hold still for teeth brushing with a regular brush, I wouldn’t jump to this quite yet.

Works great
This was very easy to use and works great on removing plaque from my dogs teeth and keep their gums healthy! Using this often can save a lot of money on future vet bills! Its about the size of an electric toothbrush and is easy to hold in your hand and isn’t very loud. Definitely would recommend!

Game-changer for my senior dog!
I purchased the Nature Nerds Plaque Remover for Teeth, Pet kit because our senior, rescue dog had started to really build up tartar on his back teeth. He is a German shepherd, golden retriever mix, 13+/- years old. I acquainted my dog to the very low-level sound beforehand, and he tolerated the cleaning procedure very well in several, short sessions. He was rewarded intermittently, and I was able to get a lot of tartar off his teeth. Besides his visual tartar, my dog had an area of red, flabby, overgrown gum tissue above one of his upper molars. Due to his age, I was weary of general anesthesia to deal with it, I decided to try and clean his teeth myself, so I purchased this product. Once I started cleaning his teeth regularly and removing his tartar, that particular tissue growth at his gumline, that looked so unhealthy, actually started to heal and now looks like normal gum tissue. It was amazing to see his inflamed gum tissue resolve like that. A definite game-changer for my dog. His mouth is much healthier now because of this product. This plaque remover is lightweight but durable and easy to use, has adjustable speeds and really holds its charge. The light really helps you see the back teeth in your dog's mouth. The safety features make sure it only works on hard tooth structures. I'm very happy I made this purchase. I definitely recommend this product- 100%. The customer service is awesome also- I inadvertently lost the charging cable a few months after my purchase, they responded immediately and graciously sent a replacement. Great product, great company!!

Works exceptionally well
The vet said my old dog was close to needing her teeth scaled. But she didn't do well after her last anaesthetic to the point we thought we would lose her. She has always tolerated a brush well and tolerates this scaler. I worked slowly and did a tooth at a time to give her break. Her teeth look fantastic. It is very easy to use and it has even removed the hard calculus on back teeth. So happy with this product as it's saved her a tricky vet visit. At aged 14 this is worth it's money to have her healthy.

Excellent
I was sceptical but I didn’t want to put my dogs through anesthésie. The teeth had really a lot of stone. It is like a magic wand. Easy to use, not very noisy and my cavalier King Charles took it like a champ. He was first a bit defensive but quickly understood it was not hurting him and he got used to the sound and feeling. He actually took a nap during cleaning ☺️

Funcional

Actually works !
I have a 13 year old sausage dog, this worked so well and removed 90 %. It's a 2 person job, but worth the purchase.
