This 2 pack of 1" unions was exactly what I was looking for. They glued up and worked exactly as they should. What made these ever better is that the set of 2 was the same price I would have paid for 1 at any of the local big box stores. The quality seems just as good. Once in place and the glue cured I turned on the water and could find no leaks from either the glue joints (good job me!) or from the mating surface of the union.

Listen, you can’t trust every review that you read. Especially from inexperienced DIY’ers. I ordered a 1 1/2 fitting and was very pleased with the quality. No issues with the O-ring being loose or stretched. This fitting was exactly what I needed to finish the piping in my kitchen. I was so relieved when I saw the quality of this fitting after not physically seeing it prior to purchase…

Good couplers for the price.

So, the positive on these is that they are very solid, and appear to be made at or near Schedule 80 standards. They use an extra-large rubber washer, and seal tightly. They’re a perfect match for 2” PVC.The problem is that there are no specs on them. None. Literally, there is not a single, letter, number, or word anywhere on the union that defines any spec they meet. Not even the intended pipe size is embossed on it.So what does that mean? As a homeowner I’ve worked with a lot of PVC fittings, and I feel that these are well-made and that they’ll work fine, but I would avoid these if I were a professional plumber. Without any form of rating, it’s not worth introducing that risk to your business or your clients.

Better than glued joints if you might need to replace a pump or filter. Must align perfectly flush to allow a pressurized seal.
