Watch Band with Ballistic Nylon Material Strap and High-End Black Buckle (Matte Finish Buckle) (18mm, Black)

This watch band is a top quality NATO watch band. The nylon strap is soft and very flexible, not stiff at all. The buckle and rings (strap keepers) are heavy duty. The cross section of the rings is round, which is one of the reasons I bought this watch band; I didn't want rings with a rectangular cross section, i.e., a flat-bar cross section. The buckle holes and ends of the nylon strap are heat sealed to prevent fraying. The watch band can be worn in different ways resulting in either one or two layers of the strap on the underside of the watch, which affects how high the watch sets off of the wrist. The band itself seems very durable, but the black metal rings paint rubs off very easily. I have used this band almost three months and the paint has rubbed off the two rings on the bottom side of the band. Although the black rings look good it may be better if the manufacturer left them their natural silver color. Besides that, it is a perfect band for heavy active use. It should last much longer that my previous Velcro style.

I really like this strap. Seems very well built and is stitched as well as glued. The rings are big and beefy and the buckle is sturdy. I am using it on my deployment watch and will see how it holds up. The only thing I would like better is if the rings weren't so wide. Not their thickness, but the wideness of the opening. You could pass the strap through them four times over easily. Not really a problem just would like them more snug.

I was hoping to replace my watchband, so I got this one. It's the NATO style and it's made of sturdy nylon. It came with a tool to remove the spring pins and also two pins which were slightly thinner than the original ones my watch came with. Even with the thinner pins, I was not able to thread the wristband through. It is just a tiny bit too big for a Casio W-800H, both in thickness and in width. I tried the alternate technique of laying the wristband on top of the back of the watch, and then inserting the pins. This made for a very tight fit, and when I tried to adjust the wristband to insert the second pin, the first one popped out and ended up across the room. I suggest a magnet when working with fiddly metal things like this. They do make 18 to 22 mm adapters but these cost more than the wristbands! I think this would be a nice wristband if you have a watch that will fit it.

This is a great watch band! The nylon band is thicker than previous bands I had from Amazon. This makes inserting the pins more difficult, but the thicker band is more comfortable. The nylon feels "softer"; the edges are definitely softer due to the greater radius of the edge. The buckles and hardware are substantial; time will tell how well they wear. All in all, a great NATO band. BTW, the company is great! I ordered the wrong color, but they refunded my return without a hitch.

I just received this and had it installed and on my wrist in less than 5 minutes. I normally don't leave feedback but what impressed me about this product as not only did they give you the watchband but the 2 spring pins and a tool to install. That shows attention to detail and made installation very easy. I would buy from this company again.

I threw my Timex Expedition Scout (charcoal gray face and gunmetal case) on this black NATO strap. The watch came with an OD green nylon band that was just fine, if a little stiff, but it looks really natural and good on this too. I like the black hardware and the ease of fitting. I also like that the NATO strap came with a tool.
