Clara Unfairly convicted of a crime, I’m sent to serve the Kadrixan males for their rutting season. The Kadrixans. Even their name inspires terror. Fiery-skinned and devil-like, they stand head and shoulders taller than any human man. Our colony made a terrible bargain with these monsters. The Kadrixans give us precious ore in exchange for the one thing they need. Women. Like me. When we meet our Kadrixan captors, I come face to face with a massive, brawny beast who claims I belong to him. And not just for the rutting season. He wants me forever. Krxare I never expected to claim a human mate, but one look at the curvy female and I know she’s mine. Hunger claws at my mind and that of every other warrior in my regiment. All of us are on the brink of the rut which makes us more belligerent with each passing day. Without females, we’ll tear each other apart with rage. We depend upon our bargain. Human females for Kadrixan ore. The females arrive and there is one who stirs my primitive desire: Clara. She thinks I’m a monster; I see it in her eyes and scent it in her fear. She vows to return to her people after the rut is over, but I vow to claim my mate, to woo her and prove she’s mine. Review: Wildly hilarious, seductive, & feelgood (5+++🌟) - I giggled, cheesed, & blushed my way through this entire book. It was so incredible that after initially reading it in KU, I went ahead and purchased my own copy. That honestly says more than anything else I could tell you. Try the sample, I guarantee you'll be hooked too. QUICK LOOK: (👹+👰=🌋🖤😂) *hilarious culture clashes & sarcasm *fiercely seductive romance & steam *epic worldbuilding & adventure *fighting & action *adorable animals & their antics *A growly monster w/wings *A feisty & smart female *all the feel-goods & consent *once a year rut * satisfying HEA DETAILED LOOK: The "demon monsters" in this book: come in shades of red, have huge & deadly wings, horns, multiple claws, a long & agile devil tail, a split tongue, they exude pheromones, go into a rut once a year, and many more goodies I'm not allowed to say🌋😁. The Kadrixans were exiled from their home planet of Kadri by the Empress, for refusing to mow down innocents in the name of politics and greed. Commander Krxare doesn't regret the orders he gave, it was the right thing to do. But he does feel guilty that his warriors were punished along with him. Never to see their home planet again. Nor the extravagant aeries they'd painstakingly built over the years to acquire a mate. Worse, they had no females to get them through their yearly rut. The rut was normally a joyous event to find mates or have offspring. But it was a death sentence to an exiled Kadrixan, for without females to ease their rut, they'd go into an unstoppable rage. Luckily they had stolen enough supplies and ships to find a new home. A bountiful new planet called Vokira, that was wild and mostly unclaimed. There were a few native tribes spread over the land and one large human colony. Even so, the Kadrixans had lost quite a few warriors to the rut that first year. Now they traded valuable resources in exchange for willing human women from the colony. The human colony is dealing with a lot of inequality and political machinations as well. A bunch of human women have to choose between participating in the rut or going to the new Utopia project. Since no human has ever came back from the Utopia project, quite a few women actually choose the rut. Including an artist that was fired and evicted from her home for a negative comment she made about the colony. When Clara arrives at the Kadrixan compound, commander Krxare shocks everyone by falling to his knees. That only happens when in the presence of a mate. This is their story & they're gonna have to work for it. Clara has a brother back at the colony and he's in some trouble of his own. When he goes missing a much bigger conspiracy unfolds & it keeps getting better as you wade in. Along the way, we get to know the individual warriors and humans (their interactions are comedic gold). It's told in dual POV, where there's dedicated chapters to each character, so we get both sides without confusion. We are taken on an adventure through the native tribes, the deceptive human colony, and the new home of the Kradixians (including their compound). We get to see their cultures, cuisines, animals and much more. There is a main plot and several side ones. The romance and steam is weaved throughout, never sacrificing the plot. Each book features a new couple and their complete HEA but also has overarching storylines. MY OPINIONS: My favorite part about this book was how it made me feel. I laughed until I cried, felt my heart melt, and walked away ecstatic. Seeing gruff monsters cherish vulnerable things like animals, their environment, and a mate is everything. Not everything is sweet, these are warriors after all. But the fighting and growling is done to perfection, whether it's a real fight against an enemy or a teasing/dominant one with a mate. In a couple of scenes I blushed & looked around guiltily before remembering I was an adult an could read whatever I wanted lol. Def hot and enthralling content. It hit me right in the gut. Not just the love scenes and dirty talk. Seeing the couple fight for their love, to know and understand someone so different from themself. Gah magic and bliss. There's a ton of relatable scenes in the book involving humor and sarcasm. I wanted to be a part of their friend group. And the pet companions were the cutest little things I've ever heard of- they had the warriors wrapped around their fingers lol. If I had to compare this book with one I've read before I'd say: *Ruby Dixon's Mathiras OR *Regine Abel's I Married A Naga Absolutely incredible book, I wholeheartedly recommend, & cannot wait for the next one in the series. Happy reading fellow romance lovers! Review: No Force Relations - I think Lynnea Lee did herself a disservice with the summary of this book since it makes it seem as though women are forced into sex without true consent and that isn't the case. She just does a terrible job of laying it out in the synopsis and in the story. I highlighted the different parts where it was explained and they were too spread out to be coherent so had to be sort of tied together, but basically Human Women that chose the rut could change their minds and just stay in their assigned housing area for the duration. They were treated well and any hook-ups were consensual (even if the Kadrixan was in rut fever). I bring this up because I wasn't going to read this series since I'm not into dark romances with non-consent and I truly thought that was part of this series, however thanks to another review I found mentioning it was consensual, I decided to give it a go. Honestly, I enjoyed it more than I thought I would and it is definitely similar to Lee's Xarcn series (which I loved). I liked the world building and the characters. I think the description of the Kadrixan legs is odd considering she described them as having backwards knees, but based on them having forward facing thighs for their mates to sit on, I'm guessing the intent was to describe more of a satyr legs or maybe like a cat's back legs since they end with clawed feet. Regardless, that's how I'm interpreting it since it was just confusing and I made the mistake of looking up backwards knees...needless to say it doesn't match up. Anyway, yes I would recommend this book. It's a simple story with enough world building to kick off a light distopian alien romance series.

Decent fluffy monster smut read
Fairly straight forward plot with very few twists and not a lot of complexity. There is a fair amount of someone having a thought and then saying their thought out loud in the exact same wording. Over all I enjoyed this book but definitely a very light, fluffy read, not right for anyone who is looking for complex plot building or characters that contain multitudes.

Instant for the MMC
So these Kadrixan aliens have multiple ways to find their mates or I guess claim them 🤭 One of them just so happens to be bowing and my word, I was instantly snatched up into the story. Here are my thoughts: A Monster’s Treasure follows Clara, a human woman unfairly convicted and sentenced to serve the Kadrixan males during their rutting season ( the place shes coming from treat people like trash, especially the lower class). This is a fate that’s basically a death sentence wrapped in ritual. From what the humans understand anyways. The Kadrixans are massive, horned, fiery‑skinned aliens feared across the colony, known for losing control when their rut hits. Clara goes in expecting brutality, degradation, and survival by sheer grit. What she finds instead is a monster who doesn’t treat her like a disposable offering. But instead, a Kadrixan male who sees her, protects her, and claims her with a feral tenderness she never expected. This story thrives on the tension between Clara’s fear and her growing desire, between the Kadrixans’ monstrous reputation and the unexpected gentleness that emerges in private moments. She also has to make a choice that scares them both. This story is adventurous, emotional, and tense, with bursts of hope and intimacy woven through the danger. God I loved fast paced books. On to the next!

A Monster's Treasure
This interesting and new Kadrixan Mates Book Series has a wonderful story set in an amazing new world with unique and intriguing characters. The human settlement seems to be hiding the inequalities of their people, utopia and the bargain with the Devil Aliens. Things are not as they appear and these characters will have to look past the misinformation and see into the character of the people they have sent to help. This is the first in a series I cannot wait to read more stories. There is action, danger, twists, turns, betrayal, romance, love and a HEA. Must Read

Best choice ever
Krxare is the unofficial leader of his crew. They are a species that needs female once a year for their mating season or their rut. The first year was rough but they have made a deal with a human colony to assist them. Clara is one of those females. The human colony is a rough place to live if you’re in the lower classes. She got behind on bills and now she can decide if she will help with the rut or go to Utopia. Which isn’t any type of Utopia. After over hearing that the guards get a bonus to send them to Utopia she picks the rut. Best choice she could make. The rut is a species that treats the women like treasures and they don’t have to work unless they want and it’s a hobby they do by their own choice. Of course we have a plot to uncover but hey that is what makes books great.

4 solid 🌟s for A Monster's Treasure
Earth has colonized planet and the leaders are greedy and do only what is good for them. There are several other species also livingn this planet one of them being the Kadrixan. They are huge almost demon like species who go into rut once a year. The deal they've made with the human colony is willing females in exchange for ore and other natural resources. This is how Clara meets Krxare. Her only other choice was a place called utopia that no one ever comes back convince sent. She decided the Kadrixan were a better option. At first when she sees Krxare she's afraid he looks just like the devil. But it doesn't take long at all to realize that Krxare and him males are honorable warriors who truly need females and want nothing more than to find mates to love and treasure. Love blossoms quickly but then Clara's only fmai!y disappears and her paradise is in peril. This is a great first entry to a new series I can't wait too read more. Great world building good character development and a solid storyline I can't wait for more.🔥💖🔥🔥💖🔥🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖💖🔥💖🔥🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖💖🔥💖🔥🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥

A marvellous & exciting adventure
I couldn’t put this book down! Both of the main characters were interesting and it was great to learn about this new world. The adventures the 2 main characters went through to get to their HEA were fast paced so it kept me engaged. I look forward to the next book.

Great story about Kadrixan males, some Cannibals and a colony of humans whose leaders were nefarious with the lower classes. I don't want to give any plots away, but would recommend you read.
