I bought this to replace my company issued one because the screen kept breaking. This can potentially turn itself on in the bag just like every other brand, you can either unplug the 9 volt or position the strap in such a way that it's not directly over the power button. The hoses are a lot smaller than other brands, so you may want to buy some Automotive vacuum fittings to allow larger hoses to be attached to the thinner hoses. Other than that it works great and for any hot side or HVAC professional, it's a great tool to have and even better because the company doesn't own it

The larger battery makes this a good unit compared to those that run AA batteries. I test for hours straight with this meter without battery replacement. Very accurate and past the drop test a couple times.

The display is easy to read with an excellent backlight, the controls are easy to use and the price is right. If price is your main concern I say buy it. However if accuracy is your main concern then I would reconsider. The temperature reading is always off and the pressure readings are 0.03" - 0.10" wc less than other more expensive meters. The company told me the temperature reading does not affect the pressure reading and the pressure reading is within the stated range of accuracy. In the attached video you can see this manometer compared to a Klein. The video is two minutes long and shows both manometers connected to a T fitting which is connected to the output test port of my Honeywell VR8200C6008 stepped (slow open) valve on a Burnham Boiler. I turned the boiler on, the valve opened slowly and the pressure peaked around 3.40" wc. I compared this manometer against other meters the same way and the results were always the same. You will notice a few things in the video: This display seems worse than the Klein but that is wrong, it's better. It's so much brighter that it looks washed out in the video but actually it's easier to read in person. The pressure values are more immediate instead of a smoother average like other meters. So let's say you buy this meter and you get values jumping around 3.30" - 3.40" and your boiler is spec'd for 3.50". I would go by the highest number the meter shows you which is 3.40". Personally I left mine at 3.40" because it's always worked fine with a consistent blue flame. The pressure discrepancy is larger at higher values. For example, my valve's input port measured YZT 10.28" wc and Klein 10.35" wc. At ~10" wc this meter was consistently under by 0.07" wc. If your valve has test plugs be careful not to over-tighten or cross-thread or you're in for an expensive replacement. If your valve has the screw plugs that you have to remove to test the valve then you will only be able to test one side at a time, and you'll have to turn off the gas before removing a plug. Before you do that, make note of the plug depth and take a permanent marker and mark each plug to the body so you know exactly how much to tighten it when you reinstall it. I put the included barb on finger tight. I used a deep socket on the barb and turned the socket with my fingers until it felt firm.

New meter work great

Worked fine, used for home Natural Gas furnace. I replaced a defective valve. I used this after to measure the pressure on the outlet of the new valve. If you want the measurement in 'inches of water column (WC)', you set the manometer units to 'inH20'
