No Annual cost
I have had this camera / doorbell smart lock installed in my for about 3 months now, and I like it for several reasons. There are no ongoing costs associated with it. Meaning you don't have to pay any annual fee for the benefit of having live video, two way communication, remote wifi control and real time alertes. There are many other options that provide the same benefits however you must pay a fee at some point. Yes the cost of entry is high but if you track this product you can purchase it at a reasonable price point. Reason number two: it has a clean sleek design that looks great on the door and the install was very easy and best of all no matter where you are you can control this smart lock. I live six months out of the year in Costa Rica and I have complete control from over 3,200 miles away. Thus far the battery pack has had no issues. I highly recommend you have some type of device like Alexa or a chime to enhance the volume of the doorbell. I chose not to purchase the chime and just intergrated the smart lock with my Alex. Eufy products are really great. Check out my reviews of their interior and exterior cameras.

Excellent Smart Lock!!
Excellent smart lock! I had a very expensive Kwikset biometric lock that I couldn't stand using any longer. I trust Eufy products as I have many Eufy items and they've all been working perfectly. This smart lock was very easy to install and the biometrics are very reliable. My old Kwikset didn't recognize my fingerprint after one day consistently. I got locked out so many times because of that Kwikset lock. With this Eufy, my finger print is recognized every single time and it is very quick to respond. AND!!! I love having the camera on it! I have it placed on the door to my garage. With this lock, I can easily see inside my garage via the app. It also can connect to Alexa. The touch controls are easy to used very responsive, hidden keyhole if needed, fast battery charging, recognizes fingerprints every time in heat or when wet from rain...what's not to love about this? The app is super easy to navigate too. If you have an Apple Watch, you can get alerts on your watch for entry, locking, battery percentage and detecting movement.

2 years in no issues at all.
I installed this lockset in June of 2024 to replace a Schlage unit that lacked fingerprint function. Since then I have had zero problems with it. I wanted the fingerprint function most of all and that has been almost perfect. We have 4 residents and everybody has multiple fingerprints registered (you never know which hand/finger will be easiest to use each time. It depends). The camera works just as it should, the doorbell function is good and the key cylinder is hidden away behind the doorbell to maybe slowdown lockpickers. Another function I like a lot is the ability to give contractors and such their own code with time and day windows (like M-W 8:00 am-4:00pm) and an expiration date. Of course it logs every activation by text and by video. It came in handy when we had paint and new floors done. And of course, you can unlock and relock the door remotely through the app which has also been helpful more than once. It does run on a proprietary battery pack with a built-in USB charging port which is something to consider. The battery lasts about 6 months between charges and give you plenty of verbal warning as it gets low. I bought a second battery (not too cheap - $65) so that I could always have one charged up and ready when the lady in the unit starts to complain about the charge level. It takes about 10 seconds to swap batteries. Anyway, I'm very happy with this unit. It works better that the Schlage lockset it replaced and has been flawless for the last 2 years.

Installation and app usage is very dismal so far. No Instructions.
Experience so far. Hint: I am probably sending it back. Charged the battery overnight. Installed door knob. No instructions in box except for a paper telling you to download the app. Did that, still no instructions, but I've installed a few locks in my day. Did first time setup and it kept telling me "the deadbolt is stuck please return to the installation". So, I took it apart spun the deadbolt 180 degrees and tried again. Still same error. Loosened screws thinking it was too tight. Same error. You have to do the setup with the door manually locked. Finally, I opened the door and locked the deadbolt, then setup succeeded. Started fiddling with app. Added deadbolt to app. Couldn't figure out how to add my pin code and thumbprint, but accidentally stumbled upon it. The app requires you to set up your home, but security is at the device level, not the home. Strange. Got myself setup and was able to operate door fine. Strange thing is that to both unlock and lock the door, you need to use your thumbprint. So, you won't be able to tell a friend to lock the door for you. Wife and daughter got home. Took forever to figure out how to add them. Emails about joining the home and they downloaded app. It didn't say MyHome, it said TheirHome. So, that leaves you wondering if they actually joined the home or not. Oh well, kept going and could not figure out what to do. Finally figured out I had to share the device (deadbolt). Did that, more emails, they accepted and Voila, they could see the deadbolt. Now onto adding their thumbprints and passcode. To do this it needs to connect. And this step continually failed as if it couldn't connect, all the while it is sending video to the phone showing that there is definitely a connection. My daughter noticed that the battery is now 23%, WTF. Remember, I charged it overnight. We gave up and will work on it again tomorrow while the battery charges again overnight. I will update this review tomorrow. B.T.W. I did see a power setting and it was left at default, which is the second to least power using option. Edit: Next day: Still same connectivity problems. Decided to turn the IOT network feature on in my router. Went to connect deadbolt to that network, but no networks would show up at all. Decided to remove the deadbolt from my app and start setup all over. Was able to add it to the IOT network and reset my passcode and thumbprint. A couple hours later I set my wife's passcode and thumbprint. Decided to do her through my phone since the whole multiple phone thing is a PITA. Deadbolt worked fine. Third day: Wife left for work through that door and her thumbprint would not lock the door. Ugh. I opened the door and used my passcode to lock it while the door was still hanging open. Then tried thumbprint again and it worked. A couple hours later, my thumbprint wouldn't work again. I had sawdust on my fingers, so I will chalk it up to that. I then added my daughter, again through my phone. This went well. We now figure out if you hold down on the little lock button on the keypad it will lock it without a code or thumbprint.

Love this lock - some minor room for improvement
I have owned other competitor locks before! Several to be exact. I've owned August, Ring, Nest Yale, some unknown one bought on Amazon and now Eufy. I'll explain what I love and wish this item had in case it helps. Other locks have the option of changing only the back (facing inside your home) part of your lock such as August. This option leaves the front of your lock exactly the same so you keep using your normal key. Then the auto and remote functions are all in your phone. Some might find this advantageous. I did for a while but I switched to Eufy for several reasons and I was OK with changing the entire thing , front and back, like this Eufy requires. Why? I was looking for a fingerprint, code option and key function. Eufy provides all of these options in their many models. In this model it also integrated the video doorbell into one, all in your door lock. I have kids that do not own cell phones so they couldn't use other competitors locks that I mentioned above. So the code and fingerprint option was key (pun intended) here. I upgraded from a previous Eufy lock (without the video doorbell) and I liked that lock. I chose this option (two versions are E330 and S330) with the video doorbell because Eufy doesn't require you to purchase a plan every month to store video footage. If you've owned other video doorbells like from Nest (I have one) then you'll know that the moment you drop the monthly subscription then you tend to lose the majority of the benefits they made the bell great. So I had my eye on the Eufy lock and doorbell together. Pros to this version E330 (without the homebase function). - Setup was easy. The app walks you through it. I did it alone and under 20 min. - The fingerprint set up was also rather quick and I find it pretty accurate. I also found this model faster to recognize a fingerprint than others. I have only had one instance so far in a month in which it didn't recognize but it's because I quickly slapped my finger on there and removed it too quick. Regardless, you don't need to have your finger on there for long either. It recognizes your print in approx 2-3 seconds at most. - the video doorbell - this is faster to recognize and to alert me on my phone. I love it. I had a Nest doorbell that would have a delay in notifying me. The person would be driving away by the time it alerted me on my phone. This Eufy is quick! I like this and it's an upgrade for me. - I haven't had any issues with the doorbell recognizing people or movement based on my settings. I did complete a firmware update when I installed it so perhaps many of the issues people noted are solved. Cons/areas of improvement: - I wish this had a door sensor to recognize when your door is Closed before it locks it. This works on a timer so if your door is open (say you're running out to get the mail or package) it will auto lock based on your preference if you chose it to autolocl. I had another doorlock that had a sensor so your door would recognize if it was opened. This helps in case you accidentally close it but haven't quick shut it completely. My kids something let the door "shut" behind them but they always make sure it's fully closed. - I wish this came in other colors besides black. I had just installed a similar lock by Eufy and changed my door knob to that color. But this special model only comes in black so now I have mix matched items. I'll have to purchase a new knob soon. For those looking for the difference between E330 and S330: - S330 is slightly longer than this one. It comes with the home base which allows the chime for the doorbell to extend to other areas of your home. This version is within your doorbell only so if you have a very large home you may want to invest in the home base so you can hear it pretty far. I have a 3k plus home and we haven't had issues hearing the bell. I am in the midst of connecting this to Alexa and Google Home which does allow you to hear announcements in other areas of your home as well via those extra items that you might in other rooms. s330 has extra storage options while this E330 does not. But it stores plenty so far. You can delete your videos and what is stored as well and control what you save via what types of alerts you receive.

Good deal.
After having this thing for a while now I thought I might as well leave this company a review. The first one I received was a little defective. The second one I’ve had for a while and it’s performed very well. The AI engine that functions with your phone and the app is outstanding. In my opinion you can adjust settings to your preferences. it’s pretty awesome honestly and they offer an app features that allow further security monitoring. It’s pretty neat well worth the money in my opinion.

Eufy Security Video Smart Lock E330, 3-in-1...
I recently installed a smart lock on my front entry door, and it’s been a complete game-changer for convenience and security. The setup was straightforward, with clear instructions, and it integrated seamlessly with my existing deadbolt. I can lock and unlock the door directly from my phone, set unique codes for family members or guests, and even receive notifications whenever the door is accessed. The auto-lock feature is particularly reassuring—I never have to wonder if I forgot to secure the door. The build feels solid and durable, and the sleek design blends in well with my door hardware. Battery life has been impressive so far, and replacing the batteries is quick and easy. Overall, the smart lock has added both peace of mind and everyday convenience to my home. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their home security without sacrificing style or ease of use.

Eufy Products Rock!
This is an amazing smart lock that is easy to install, and just works really well! This replaces an older model that worked flawlessly for the several years that we had it installed. We just wanted the doorbell and camera features that this newer model had. Customizing all the many features is mostly intuitive, with the exception of setting schedules for Disarmed/Home/Away mode. Fingerprint reader is easy, accurate, and fast. Keypad looks slick and works perfectly. The battery takes hours to fully charge, but you'll only have to deal with that about that once a year or so. The video is clear and crisp, and the sounds and volume are more than adequate. I've purchased many products from Anker, Eufy and Soundcore and they've all been great, including this one. Very pleased!

Never worry about not locking your door again!
After needing to replace our old lock due to it malfunctioning and wanting a keyless entry system, I decided to give the Eufy Security Video Smart Lock E330 a go, and it has changed my life! Installation was simple, although it did not come with physical instructions. Instead, a QR code was provided that led to a step-by-step video installation guide, which I found great since it didn't waste paper. The video offered in-depth instructions for the installation, so it was fairly easy. All you really need is a screwdriver, and I was able to replace it in less than 30 minutes. Setting up the device using the Eufy application on my phone was simple. I already own an existing Eufy product, and so pairing it was easy since the app guides you on how to pair the device which only takes less than 5 minutes to do. Just make sure you have a strong WiFi connection for it to be able to connect to your internet. Key features that I love about the Eufy Security Video Smart Lock E330 is that you have the option to use fingerprint or code unlock, with the bonus of being able to lock and unlock the door using your mobile device, as long as you have an internet connection via cellular data or Wifi. In addition, you are also given a set of 2 keys, which is a plus! What I love about this product is that you can also monitor any activity that happens near the door via the built-in security camera by receiving notifications through the Eufy app on your mobile device. It will notify you if there is any activity within the camera's reach and will also notify you if someone locks/unlocks the door. You can also monitor the status of the door, so you can always check if you locked the door after leaving, which is my favourite feature yet! Even using the Eufy app on a mobile device is simple! You can tinker around with the settings to your liking to create an efficient experience. The battery consumption is fairly low and does not need to be charged that often. Packing a 10,000 mAH battery, surprisingly enough, after using it for almost a month, I haven't needed to charge it. If so, it is fairly simple. You can remove the battery from the inside by sliding the cover up and charging it with a USB-C cable with the provided port built into the battery itself. It took me around 30 minutes, but this depends on your charging speeds via cable and power adapter. If you forget to charge the device, you have the option to unlock the door with a key or simply plug in a portable charger via USB-C at the front to give it some juice to unlock the door. The app will also remind you if it is low on battery, so the chances of it dying on you are very low, which is what I love about this product. A couple of flaws I had were that it does not have a backup battery system, aka AA batteries, unlike the higher models, so when you do need to charge the device, you would have to remove the battery, and the lock won't function electronically unless you have purchased an extra battery pack. You can still use it as a regular door lock with the keys provided until you reattach the battery. If you have a storm door, this may cause a bit of an issue for some. It covers part of the door due to the placement of the lock, and so viewing the camera through the Eufy app will show half of the storm door. Another issue with having a storm door is that when it senses activity at night or when you view the camera through the Eufy app, the onboard light turns on and reflects off the glass, onto the camera lens, causing you to not see anything from the camera. You can probably disable this feature by tinkering with the settings on the Eufy app and relying on its built-in night vision. Another issue that I have is that if you have scuffed fingers, you won't be able to unlock the door via fingerprint and would have to use the code lock or the provided keys. While most of these are very minor issues that can easily be work around via the Eufy app or using the provided keys, the one thing that I wish it had was expandable storage via a micro SD card. Although it has a built-in 8 GB of storage, it would be nice to have more storage to store more activity recorded clips if you ever need to view a specific clip from months ago. There is an option to purchase the Eufy Homebase, which can store up to 16 TB of external storage, which might not be worth it for those who own a single Eufy device such as this one. Overall, I find that using the Eufy Security Video Smart Lock E330 is a game-changing product! I never have to sift through my keys trying to unlock the door. The biggest feature is being able to check to see if I locked the door after leaving, and if so, I can simply lock or unlock the door via the Eufy app with ease. You have scuffed fingers or forgot the code lock combination? You can use your phone to unlock the door through the Eufy app! You also have the option to use the provided keys, which is a bonus! I highly recommend this product, especially paired with other Eufy products to create an efficient and secure experience!

All-in-One Smart Lock and Doorbell That Delivers
I’ve been using this smart door lock with a built-in doorbell for a few weeks now, and it’s been a game-changer for home security and convenience. The installation was relatively easy with the help of the step-by-step app instructions, and the lock integrates smoothly with my smart home system. I love the ability to lock and unlock the door remotely, grant temporary access to guests, and receive instant notifications when someone rings the doorbell or enters. The camera quality is sharp, even at night, and the two-way audio is clear for communicating with visitors. Battery life has been solid so far, and the build quality feels sturdy and premium. Overall, it’s a feature-packed, reliable upgrade that adds both peace of mind and modern functionality to the front door.
