Best seat in the house!
After getting mine, I was extolling the virtues thereof to a friend and his wife. Sensing that they were intrigued, I got one of these for them for Christmas. Follows is the Thank You card and note that they sent me. You're gonna put what attachment on the toilet??? The nozzle does what?? It shoots up where?? Cheers to a new year with more "wet and wild" experiences ahead in 2015. :-) Thank You Dear Eric, Thank you for the Blue Bidet and for giving us a gift that will help Bill and myself get a "clean" and "fresh" start in the new year. I "flushed" with embarrassment when Bill first opened your gift. However, I'm beginning to see the value of using it. Plus, it has already helped to ring in a "happy" new year for Bill because every time he uses the Bidet, I hear him break into gales of laughter. And even long after the excitement of the moment has passed, he still comes out of the bathroom with a big grin on his face and a twinkle in his eye. Thank you from the "bottoms" of our hearts for your thoughtfulness and for your generosity and for transforming an ordinary "loo" into what's now the "Best seat in the house". Too-da-"loo" So that's my friend's review. Here's mine. I found the installation extremely easy, quick, and straightforward. Virtually without tools! You can completely control the amount of pressure that it squirts you with. Anywhere from an extremely gentle stream of water (like a drinking water fountain) to high pressure -- whatever "floats your boat". Once you start the water flow, you just squirm around a bit to ensure that you are well cleansed. You can then use a small amount of toilet paper to finish the job. They advertise about 70% reduction in toilet paper usage -- and that sounds about right to me. After you get up, I find that there is some splash-back onto the toilet seat that requires a quick swipe with toilet paper. When you flush, you can give a quick squirt with the self-cleaning mechanism. While probably not necessary, it gives one a confident sense of the unit's continuing cleanliness. Before I used it, I was worried that the cold water would be problematic -- but not so. Overall, I find this device excellent. I look forward to using it and miss it when am away from home. It is extremely inexpensive, easy to install, easy to use, good looking, ... Am very pleased with this device and heartily recommend it. I suppose that it would be especially attractive to folks who suffer from hemorrhoids or who suffer from loose stools for whatever reason. I notice that there are several very similar products on the market from competing vendors. I have not tried any others -- so cannot comment on their performance vs. this one. I note that some of them are exceptionally fancy (and correspondingly expensive) - including features such as a heated seat, heated water, a nozzle that moves back and forth, etc. Those features seem needlessly extravagant/expensive.

Best Purchase EVER!
I never would have thought that one day I'd own a bidet --- but now I do! It was very affordable, easy to install, and it has drastically cut down on my toilet paper usage. It really 'does the job' and I dry off with some washable flanel wipes (can be purchased at Amazon in the baby section) and I launder them with my regular wash, since there's absolutely NO DIRT on them. The customer service was AWESOME! We have new plastic pipes (new home) called 'PEX' and they are an all-in-one piece from the wall, all the way to the toilet tank. So I contacted customer service and they sent me a different connector, so the bidet connected between the tank and the pipe coming from the wall, instead of between the wall and the pipe leading TO the tank. (If that makes sense.) I love the self-cleaning feature of the little spout, but it really hasn't gotten 'dirty' while in use. I still turn it on for a few seconds before switching to the bidet mode. The variable dial is great! I've only used it at a little bit past the half-way mark, don't know who would need it at full-out pressure, unless they were using it to power wash their house or something. (Maybe we just have high water pressure?) But I'm very glad that there's a variable knob so I can turn it to 'just right to do the job' pressure and get 100% clean. Best customer service and a wonderful product that performs as advertised!

Great for the money
I just bought this bidet and installed it at home. Everything went smoothly except the t-bracket would not fit on my bowl with the supplied rubber washer. I went to Wal-Mart and bought a little pack of rubber washers and found one that fits and used that plus some teflon tape. But I'm giving this product 5 stars because I've never seen an odd toilet bowl hookup like mine and I'm not blaming the manufacturer for it. The bidet looks great, no leaks, fits just barely, operates perfectly. Tried it out for the first time (also first time ever using a bidet in general - I bought this on a whim) and I feel so fresh that I can't even describe it properly. I don't think I've gotten this clean even with showers. This item has actually made me a completely different person. Oh, just a heads up, this bidet doesn't heat up the water. The blast of cold water on to your nether regions will be a frightening and enlightening sensation. It's a bit like riding a roller coaster. Only cleaner. I'm seriously recommending this product for everyone I know and I'm considering buying more for my other bathroom and for Christmas gifts. This product will change you.

Refreshing surprise!
After hearing from a friend about a bidet toilet seat that he saw at a local warehouse club store, I immediately got on Amazon.com to do some research. Like others, I had made a trip to Europe in the past where I had tried a bidet. When in Rome, right? Remembering it as a beneficial experience, I was eager to get one of these products. The reasons that I chose this model are: 1) COST, not as cheap as some similar models that don't offer adjustments or self-clean, but not $300+ for a more advanced types with heat, air, etc. 2) ADJUSTABLE NOZZLE, three positions makes it more likely to hit the mark, so to speak. 3) NOZZLE SELF-CLEAN, being not to sure where this would sit in the bowl and it's proximity to the icky, I thought it was worth the extra cash to have it clean itself before it cleans me. I installed it yesterday. Easy if you're fairly handy. NOTE: mine came with silver/chrome colored metal water supply distribution T and braided metal supply lines, so it seems like they stopped using the cheap plastic T that connected to the bottom of the toilet tank that other reviewers seemed to have problems with. The cold water is a little shocking but brief and bearable. So, for now it's living up to my expectations for what it does and where it is in the market for price vs. options. Maybe one day I'll be able to upgrade to one with all of the bells and whistles, but this suits me just fine for now.

great product - great customer service
I have a different toilet (toto aquia dual flush). I chose this model because the bidet attaches at the shut off valve not at the base of the toilet (which is basically inaccessible on my toilet.) When it arrived I saw that the model I got attached on the base of the toilet and not the shut off valve (i.e. what I got was slightly different from the picture). The company/customer service is great. I called the company (they even put their contact number on a big bold sticker on the product - no searching through the manual) and the told me that they had recently updated the design but had not yet changed the picture on the amazon website - the Bidet is exactly as shown the hoses have just been upgraded (they are even better - they are metal now). Anyway - the man I spoke with was VERY helpful and immediately mailed me a different attachment piece for free so that I can attach the bidet. Now it works great! This is the first time I've used one of these things. I love it. Feel so clean and all that stuff. Saving on T-paper and all. Overall a great product and great customer service - my toilet is different so it should easily hook to yours. 12/7/2010 - update - still working great! So glad I went this route. We've had it for about 6 months now. My kids often request to come into the master bath and use it. May get one for them. No problems yet.

A better value than the economy bidets
Several years ago I had purchased and installed a Magic Faucet Bidet model MFB-1000 for my wife and it has delivered dependable performance ever since. Magic Faucet Bidet (M.F.B. International Inc. Miami, FL) also manufactures and markets the Blue Bidet product line. Our teenage daughter recently requested that I install a bidet into her own bathroom too. So, I naturally visited the Magic Faucet Bidet website and found that the former MFB model has now been replaced by the BB-1000 model. After receiving the new device I quickly discovered that the newer model is even easier to install than the older model and it's also equipped with a more substantial metal braided supply line. The new nozzle cleaning feature is another useful additional convenience. Based upon our experience with the older MFB model, we anticipate many years of trouble free service with this new unit and our daughter is now delighted. [edit] 08/25/2011 Unlike our first model (which is still working fine), this one has developed a troublesome leak at the main control valve which is located next to the toilet seat. It's also now out of warranty. I'll have to contact the manufacturer to see if I can purchase a seal kit for the inferior assembly.

Amazing Customer Service
I don't usually take the time to leave reviews for product purchases, but this is an exception due to an exceptional customer service experience. Obviously there are various vendors that sell this bidet through the Amazon sale page but my order came directly from Blue Bidet at the $69 purchase price. It arrived in the mail several days sooner than the delivery confirmation info indicated, which was a pleasant surprise. Setup is simple, but I encountered a problem because I live in a rented home and the connection from the back of the toilet to the water source was a stiff pipe that had been cut and shaped to fit the exact length. This of course meant that I was not able to hook up the bidet. But here is the great part: I called Blue Bidet at the 877 number provided on the box and after describing the problem and confirming that I had purchased they would send me a replacement hose right away. Initially I was a bit skeptical because both of the customer service reps to whom I spoke were men with very thick Spanish accents. (since they are in Miami perhaps they were Cuban accents). Anyhow, the hose arrived in three days and was the exact part that I needed. In fact, I didn't really know what kind of hose I needed, but obviously they did so they must have some plumbing experience. According to the label attached it is a 12 inch long flexible reinforced PVC "Toilet Connector" with a 3/8" Comp. x 7/8" PBC. So now I'm all hooked up, the unit works great, and I couldn't be happier. Most companies give terrible customer service nowadays, so when a company really comes through I think it is worth taking time to give them a little praise so that they know they are doing a good job and so that potential customers can know they have the company backing them up by standing by their product and going the extra mile to help them. UPDATE: I left this review in May 2011, and it is now nearly Aug 30, 2016 as I leave this update. The product has continued to stay in good working order despite having been in constant use for over 5 years now. The only negative thing that has happened to the item over these years is that the hard water in our municipal water supply has left calcium residue inside the nozzle which has slightly impacted the way the water exits the nozzle. (sometimes the water will shoot off to the side, or split into two streams). If I could figure out a way to clean inside the nozzle I would, but for now the product continues to do its job fairly well, it has never broken down, and has definitely become a permanent part of my life. I will never live without a bidet again!

Cheap plastic*** Buyer Beware!!
I'll first say that Blue Bidet customer service is supreme and very responsive to problems. This said, I have gone through two of the 1000 units in two years. In short, the product is made of brittle plastic which breaks fairly easily. The main problem is in the way the bidet mounts to the toilet and weight is supported. Since your regular toilet seat fits over this unit, there is a 3/4" gap between the bidet unit and the bottom of the toilet seat. This designed gap places undue stress on the rear of the bidet support which causes the plastic to break. Having known this from my first experience, with the second unit I fashioned 3/4" nylon spacers under the rim of the toilet seat to more evenly distribute a person's weight. This approach bought me about a year before the rear of the unit again cracked in the very same place around the bidet's mounting flange. Having said this, the 1000 is a very nice unit when it is first functioning and you will have no regrets for about six months. If you decide to take the mounting approach above as I did, be aware that Blue Bidet does not include any spacers to attach to your own toilet seat. The company really should include spacers of some sort of with the unit since breakage is inevitable without them. My best recommendation would be to toss the add-on bidet idea altogether and redesign your bathroom to accommodate a real bidet which will last a lifetime. If you cannot do this, then be prepared to replace this unit on a yearly basis. Although I am sure Blue Bidet would replace this second broken unit with a new one, I am frankly tired of the hassle and encourage the company to investigate redesigning this unit so it will last.
