ETSPIL Embroidery Kit for Beginners, 11 Stitches, Easy to Follow, 4K Video

I absolutely love this embroidery kit. Whenever I need a little time for myself and want to slow down, I take it out and practice a few stitches. It’s become one of my favorite ways to relax and step away from screens for a while. As a complete beginner, I found the instructions very easy to follow. The pre-printed patterns, guide, and video tutorials make learning feel approachable instead of overwhelming. Every time I finish a new section, I feel a little more confident, and I can’t wait until I’m skilled enough to create my own embroidery projects. One of my favorite things is how portable the kit is. I’ve taken it to the park and even to the beach, and it’s such a peaceful way to enjoy the outdoors while working on something creative. The three projects included are beautiful and detailed enough to keep you busy for quite a while, so I never felt like I was rushing through them or wishing there was more included. Absolutely AMAZING kit! So comprehensive and easy to understand. I appreciated the written directions because I knew I’d want to do some of it on a plane, but the YouTube video link tutorials were fantastic as well! I’m enjoying this immensely and highly recommend to anyone who wants to start learning embroidery. I would give this 10 stars if I could! *note, I knew I’d want to choose some more pastel/bright colors so I bought a huge set of thread to to choose from as well, I’m glad I did because it’s nice to have colors that really make me happy as well ;) I’ll hopefully remember to post a picture when I’m done.

This is my second purchase from ETSPIL. The supplies in this one were not correct (missing one color and duplication of another). However, it was an easy adjustment for me in switching some colors. This kit is harder than the first I tried. I’m nearly finished with the second one. The third has quite a number of difficult stitches to learn that I’m not likely to use in other embroidery that I’m planning into, but I’m planning to finish the kit so that I learn these new pieces. The videos are useful and make it easy to review before practicing. The specific video I’m looking for is sometimes hard to find. But there are constantly new things available to learn. This was a good purchase for my goal to learn and excel at this stitching.

I completed all three projects in this beginner embroidery kit and absolutely loved it. This was my first time embroidering, and the instructions were clear, the videos were super helpful, and the whole experience was genuinely enjoyable. The size of each piece is perfect — not too big, not too small — and great for practicing different stitches. The quality is excellent, and it’s definitely great value for money. Highly recommend for beginners.

This embroidery kit helped kickstart a new hobby for me! I love that the kit includes everything you need to get started, and has clear instructions. You get several patterns that include practice stitches and then a cute picture in the middle that you create with the help of the provided YouTube guide videos. I was able to learn and practice many different stitches, and now I have been able to move on to bigger projects. This was a great foundation for learning how to embroider.

This was an easy learning process. The video references were detailed as well as the book. I had everything I need and more. There was only one hoop. Iguess that's all I needed but I expected one for each fabric. I had enough supplies left over for a free style project. Everything fits inside the cute box so I didn't leave behind an adhd mess.

Purchased the Simple B Kit for $13, now suddenly the prices jump up to $18-23? It’s worth $13, but definitely not $23. It’s a decent kit for beginners BUT there are cheaper out there with similar features. Stitch tutorials on YouTube are easy to find for any stitch, but I did like that their videos cover the specific projects. The hoop is okay. It works *okay*, but doesn’t hold the fabric super tight, and the screw was kind of tough for me to undo once I cranked it tightly enough to keep the fabric stiff. The thread or floss isn’t great. I noticed a lot of pilling and shedding. The colors are nice though, and there was plenty of each. The needles are terrible. Hate them. The eyes are so small that the threads get easily separated and it seems to make the threads shed more. They’re really difficult to thread using the included needle threaders. I broke the loop threader trying to thread two strands through the smaller needle. The other threader works better, but still sticks and has to be wiggled through carefully. I imagine this would work better with actual embroidery needles; I think these are just regular cheap sewing needles. The eyes are tiny and round, and from the bits and pieces I picked up on YouTube videos this week, embroidery needles have longer eyes that help keep the floss in good shape. I also outright broke one while trying to thread it. I’m not the Hulk, so that was unnerving. Be very careful if you’re giving this to a kid; it’s probably worth threading the needles for them because to me that seems like a safety hazard. Maybe it’s common though? Seems unlikely, but I’m new to this type of fiber art. The tiny scissors are actually surprisingly sharp and work really well. I’m astonished. I’m going to keep them. The needle storage thing is kinda nice too, but way too long. Still, I’ll use it. I did better once I ignored the instructions and used less floss than recommended on the 2nd and 3rd projects. It’s also impossible to do some of the stitches without a milliners needle, which I learned thanks to a YouTube video after I kept having trouble. Overall, it’s an okay kit if you’re paying under $15 for it. There’s lots of room to learn and experiment, which is why it gets three stars - but the poor quality needles and floss leave a lot to be desired, and the instructions for bouillon knots and French knots neglect to mention that you need a different type of needle that isn’t included. Could be worse, but could be better too.

None of the 16 embroidery needles, needle threader and seam ripper were included. Couldn't even get started. Major disappointment.

This was ok. Educational but the intro has you fighting thread for hours. I wanted to give up before I even really got started.
