Real Clam Chowder and excellent taste.
Hey there are clams in that chowder. Excellent taste and not too busy with ingredients. You really taste the Clam Broth and Clams. Not a Chunky Soup, but it is clearly better than others.

Very tasty
I like both the white and the red and sometimes combine the two. Its great for a quick meal over pasta and I sometimes add black olives and grated cheese. Great for dunking sourdough bread in, even plain.

The soup tends to be bland.
I bought this product for my husband. He enjoys tomato based products such as this soup. Unfortunately he found the soup to be bland. I had to add a hot pepper sauce to jazz it up. Then he enjoyed it. Probably will not be purchasing this again. Oh well, I tried.

Tough clams
The Manhattan clam chowder tasted good, but the clams that were in it were tough, like if old, the soup and other ingredients tasted fine. The salt content was not that high, but the texture of the cut up clams just didn't taste good. Thank you, bert

Best canned chowder for me.
Im from the NJ shore and I live off of seafood. Snow's Manhattan clam chowder is by far the best canned chowder ive had. I plan on getting more and i highly recommend it.

Very watery and not very good.
I love clam chowder. I've had many different kinds from many different places and from many different brands. I didn't like this. I ate it because it did cost money (I hope i don't regret that), but I would not buy it again. First off, the color surprised me, it's red. But that isn't the problem for me. Like I said in the title, it is really watery, which maybe is just a style that I'm not used to, and it doesn't taste very good. It was very bland but has an odd aftertaste that I can't quite put my finger on, and the clams (few that there are) are the chewiest things I've ever had. Actually, there isn't much of anything in it other than water. I tried doctoring it up with some seasonings, onion power, garlic and pepper, but it just isn't my cup of tea, or soup as it were.

Fantastic clam chowder!
I really love this Manhattan clam chowder! It is good when made simply by heating it up, but I have added a couple modifications that make it even better. I add half a can of whole milk (Lactaid because I’m lactose intolerant) and a whole can of clams by the same brand as the soup (including the clam juice). I simmer it on the stove, stirring frequently. Then, to finish it off, I add ground black pepper to taste. It is so delish! And it makes 2 hearty servings. Highly recommend!
