TLDR: if you’re wondering if it comes with a XLR cable, it doesn’t. Sound quality is great. I bought the fifine audio mixer to go with it. First I want to start off with the positives. This mic is easy to set up and is crisp and clean sounding. I did buy the fifine audio mixer to go with it and do run the mic through that via an XLR cable; but even with the default USB plug in to the computer the sound is pretty good especially for the price point. There is a mute button on the mic which is rendered useless by the audio mixer but that’s fine with me as I prefer the mute button on the mixer. The mics built in mute button is touch screen and I was finding myself constantly accidentally muting when I was doing adjustments. There are RGB lights on the mic and they do not distract while playing games which is nice. The arm is sturdier than one I purchased as a stand alone for $20 and feels nicer as well/has better mobility. It isn’t a super fancy mic arm but it’s really good again for the price point. I bought the audio mixer by the same brand and an XLR cable to go along with the mic because I wasn’t sure what the audio was like and wanted something really clean and professional sounding as I am a streamer. When looking through my own reviews of microphones and this one in specific I wanted to know if it came with and XLR cable and it does not which is why I wanted to note it in my own review. I want to clarify that I bought it knowing that it most likely did not as it was not listed on what was in the box or in any of the pictures. The box comes with the arm which is in 2 pieces (the arm itself and the part that attaches the arm to the desk) and the mic itself. I am actually very happy with this microphone quality and the arm. I was actually waiting for my old arm to break but decided to move some stuff around earlier and try out the new one and it feels really smooth to move around which is lovely for me, I can move my mic around without creaking!! Anyway I highly recommend this mic it was easy to set up and sounds great!

Had to mess with it ALOT with Nvidia sound software because this mic is super sensitive! It was picking up EVERYTHING, I would lightly tap my desk and it was a super loud sound (Not great for trying to comm while playing!). I messed around in NVIDIA sound software and was able to make it filter out everything but my voice and now it sounds great. It doesn't have it's own software so it was really hard to figure out how to make it stop picking up everything, also while adjusting it it sometimes gets loose where i have it on the desk. It is cute though. The gain knob is fake as far as I can tell, it just makes the mic input (your voice) louder or quieter. Overall happy with it but I was considering returning it because I dont want it picking up every click of my mouse and keyboard. Just know you'll have to find a software for it. Also bonus points because you can change the color :)

I am updating my review because of the excellent customer service I received. Although I am out of the return window, they refunded my purchase. And, they inquired about specifics of my issue so that their tech team can work to resolve it. That's impressive! Thank you, Fifine!! Original Review: I can't believe this is listed as a podcasting mic... I liked this microphone at first. However, I'm now using it to record some edits for my audiobook, and it's terrible!!! The "voice isolation" mode works well to cut out the background/room noise, but it creates a really noticeable "glitching"/"crackling" sound in my voice--and even my breath!--consistently. Distortion is the correct word. It's not every single word, but it's every few words. And most of my breaths when I inhale. I've tried all kinds of changes in my recording program, microphone, setup, and position/angles, but it nothing makes it totally go away. It took me forever to figure out what was causing the crackling--the voice isolation setting!! I finally switched to "standard mode" on the mic. The standard mode isn't usable for my project because it picks up everything, and there's a noticeable background noise, and tinny quality to my voice. I'm well out of the return window or I'd return it for a much better mic. Another thing I've noticed, if I change the position of the mic, I have to unplug and replug the cable because it doesn't register my voice anymore, despite it being lit up. So bizarre. Oh, it's super easy to set up and get going, fwiw. I haven't had any issues with the boom arm or clamp. If you're using this for something like gaming, I imagine this mic is fine. However, if you're using this for anything voice-centric, I'd hard pass on this one. ETA: I searched for crackling noises with this model (outside of Amazon reviews, which I wish I'd done before I bought it!), and this is a common issue with this mic. One person even had to upgrade the usb cable to even get their mic to do anything besides crackling noises. This may be my next attempt at a fix. Otherwise, I'm going to have to buy a new mic or spend lots of time editing the sound.

This AM8T microphone set is just amazing. I've been testing this mic for a while, and now I can say I am really impressed by the sound quality. I think its the best mic in its price range. The sound is clear and crisp. I didnt expect its gonna be that good for such a low price. Sometimes during gaming I get up from my setup, (just to make some drink or bring snacks) so I love that I can use gain knob for higher sensitivity recording and then my friends can hear me from distance when I am keep talking to them while I am further away. The mics design is clean and it is so pretty in pink colour. RGB lights adding another customization, so you can personalize it to your setup. Boom arm for easy positioning is moving really smoothly. I think the best feature of this set is that you can connect this microphone directly to your device by USB or you can plug it into XLR mixer. If you will use mixer, sound of the mic will be even clearer. Mixer will definitely bring the best out of this microphone. I would definitely recommend this mic and set to my friends, it is really worth the money. And in my opinion its even better than a lot of more expensive mics.
