Perfect doubles flares every time
I had also bought one of the cheap vice-held sets that wasn't fit for purpose. This, however, is a good quality item that produces perfect double flares every time. The grip holds the pipe firmly without damage and without needing to overtighten the nuts. The best thing is that all the critical settings, e.g. how far the pipe protrudes, how much the formers should be tightened down, are all controlled so no guesswork is required. Also, the formers are kept square to the pipe producing nice symmetrical flares - this is the big weakness with the cheap sets. Great tool and well worth the money.

Precise, Easy to Use, Well Made
This tool worked superbly well! Creates bubble or double flare and is precise compared to the terrible clamp and yoke types I tried before this. The tool holds the pipe accurately, and the flaring bolt is designed to ensure the flare is centralised and correctly deformed without going off to one side to fail like those other tools did. Absolutely wonderful! It has opened up a new skill for me in creating new brake lines for my old vehicle.

Works very well
Nice little tool that creates easily very nice flares on brake lines in limited space. Even if you have to use it once its worth its price considering the alternative is to remove a whole section of brake line that can take many hours.
