essence Lash Without Limits Extreme Lengthening & Volume Mascara, Brown

I’ve been using this mascara for about a month now and not only did I have to come write a review but I’m willing to post a creepy close up of my eye on the internet because this mascara is literally the best ever. I’ll start by saying I’ve struggled with lashes all my life. I feel like my lashes need the umph of mascara but I have very flat, spaced-out lashes so mascara often just winds up accentuating the things I dislike about my lashes in the first place. I spent years getting lash extensions because of this, and was left with even flatter, thinner lashes as a result. I’ve tried to figure out what it is that makes this mascara so different from any mascara I’ve ever used and I think it’s a few things: 1. The price point!!! For $5? Give it a try. I’d pay top dollar for this. 2. The color is fab. I’ve always been more of a brown eye make up girl and it’s tough to find a good brown mascara. This one looks very natural but isn’t too light. I have to imagine the black would be just as great if that’s the color you prefer. 3. The “pliability”? This mascara holds shape without looking clunky. If you have flat lashes or lashes that grow in a weird direction, you can literally mold them into place with this brush and they will stay put all day. It’s mind boggling. 4. The fluffiness. This is the ONLY mascara I’ve ever used that gives my lashes the same volume effect as lash extensions without looking like spider legs. It fills in gaps, lengthens, and darkens WITHOUT looking heavy and clumpy. I’ve never been able to wear mascara without other eye makeup to balance it and this has been a game changer. 5. The wearability. Everyone hates mascaras that flake, smear, etc. None of the above happen with this formula. Not only that, but if you get a little on your skin while applying, it comes right off - and it’s super easy to wash off at the end of the day. I don’t know what they put in this to make it so perfect but BUY IT NOW. I can confidently say I’ll never use another mascara again!

I cannot believe this mascara, especially at this price. It looked great, didn't clump, and lasted all day. But I don't touch my eyes much during the day, so not sure if that makes a difference. And the color is awesome!!! It's actually BROWN, not black pretending to be brown. It wiped off easily with a Water Wipe When I first looked at the brush, I thought, 'This is definitely going to involve some cursing.' Much to my surprise, it lays out a nice lash from root to tip. Then if you hold it vertically/upright and brush the tip up through your lashes, it lengthens the look of the lashes even further (that's usually true with most brush styles, so it was just a general makeup tip). The formula is on the drier side, but easy to work with. I don't like wet mascara anyway...for me, drier formulas clump way less. And this mascara didn't end up on everything eyelash adjacent, too, which is a bonus for those of us who are sometimes dexterity challenged. Anyway, suuuuuper happy about this mascara. And I haven't been very happy with the last 20ish mascaras I've tried [Maybeline Falsies Lash Lift is very nice if you are in the market for a black mascara. Unfortunately it was much too dark for my ultra fair, red-head complexion.]

I can’t believe i haven’t bought an essence mascara till now. THIS ONE IS AMAZING!! If you like a very dramatic voluminous mascara look in addition to length this might not be for you .. BUT if you like a more natural mascara look with ofc more length THIS IS PERFECT!! Im assuming it’s because of the applicator (it’s my first time seeing one like this.. like all silicone ? no bristle? idk how to explain it) but it’s very difficult to get a clumpy look, soooo good. It just glides and coats it evenly and lightly, each individual strand of hair.. so it really does just give the appearance of my natural lashes just slightly longer and darker (or lighter if you got a lighter color, i purchased brown and black). Now if you do prefer a clumpy look, it isn’t really impossible, it’s actually very buildable. It’s just that most mascaras i’ve purchased i’ve always had to brush some product off with a spoolie brush because it was TOO MUCH. It would clump my lashes together on the first or second swipe and just feel soo thick and heavy on my eyelids but this one doesn’t do that at all so it’s the main highlight for me. It hasn’t irritated my eyes after a couple weeks of use and it did come off easily when double cleansing or with just a water based cleanser (foamy wash). I did purchase the regular one so i cannot say the same for the waterproof version. Haven’t noticed any smudging as well through out the day but it has been pretty cold these past few weeks so that might change in the summer (i have oily skin so smudge is pretty common for mascaras that aren’t waterproof, but i’ll be back with an update in the summer). Overall, I would definitely repurchase this and recommend to any one who prefers a more natural lash look just enhanced.

I was honestly shocked by how good this mascara is for the price. It gives a really beautiful length and volume while still looking soft and natural, rather than overly dramatic or clumpy. The formula is buildable, so it works well for both everyday makeup and a more noticeable look if you add extra coats. I especially love the brown shade because it looks so flattering on the red-haired, fair-skinned girlies. It defines without the harshness that black mascara can sometimes have. It also holds up well throughout the day without flaking, which was a huge plus for me. The only downside is that it can smudge a bit if you rub your eyes or are not careful, but for the performance and price, it is absolutely worth it. This has easily become one of my favorite affordable mascaras.

The absolute BEST mascara!!! And for $5!! Are you kidding!! Buy it. Now. It doesnt smudge, it lasts all day, it applies wonderfully and yes it does actually lengthen your lashes and a tube will last you a long time!!

I feel like I get panda eyes (or raccoon eyes, whatever you want to call it) about 50 percent of the time when I use this mascara. So it's definitely not long-wearing or long-lasting. ...Maybe I'm somehow just more prone to that happening (oily skin?) or maybe it's the Florida humidity (I'm certain it surely doesn't help), but who knows. Also the wand is crazy flimsy (like, why?)- it's next to useless. So I feel like I'm always having to go in with a spoolie or some other kind of tool to help me out when I'm trying to apply it. With allll that being said I do actually like the mascara itself. The color is lovely and it has a decent consistency/formula that I can work with. It looks pretty when I put it on. I love brown mascara because I like the natural 'my lashes but better' look (I swear black makes me look like an actual camel LOL) and it's sooo hard to find a nice, true brown out there. However the downside is that I go and look in the mirror after I've been wearing it all day and surprise(!) it's completely smudged itself and panda-eyed me. And I look stupid, not to mention. It doesn't do it every time, so maybe more for like "light wear" such as if you're sitting all day in a climate controlled environment then maybe there's no reason to worry. But unfortunately far from a winner though imo.

Let me just tell you something: Lash Without Limits does, in fact, have limits, and one of those limits is that it is going to fall out all over your face okay There is so much fallout from this product. It ends up all over your face, and then you’ve got all of these f***ing black dots everywhere because it just keeps falling out. It also says “extreme lengthening.” That is not true. That is not true at all. I would say there is very little, if anything at all, redeeming about this product. You’d have to zoom in, and the pic does NOT do it justice, but any black dot you see both below AND above my lash is from this product.

Does an Excellent job of showing off my light brown to blonde eyelashes, without looking like I am wearing a large amount of mascara. They look natural just longer and a greater amount of them. Stays on well and comes off easily enough. I will be buying again and recommending.
