Happy with my purchase

Disappointed
Previously had a FitBit and loved it and after years of used it finally croaked. Got a Pixel phone earlier this year and recently decided to get the Pixel watch . The battery doesn't hold a charge. The fitness tracker is only catches 1/2 of my steps, etc... The sleep feature hadn't worked yet. I could go on but won't. I have worked through all of the suggestions received from the watch maker and will now return the watch. The watch isn't cheap and I expected more from this Pixel product. Going back to the FitBit brand as it is more reliable, longer battery life, more accurate, etc. My recommendation is to spend your money elsewhere.

Came with a bad battery at first, but they were able to ship a new one in time.
When I first received this watch, it came with a horrifically bad battery. I knew that, even though this is my first Pixel Watch, the battery drained *very* fast, even while it was charging! I talked with Google Support, and they confirmed it too. So I sent it back for replacement, and after a little while, the new one comes and it works considerably longer, with no unusual flaws. I have been using it for the past few months now and battery life is still the same. No new problems have popped up, and it works well with the features on my Pixel 7, including camera and Pixel's Personal Safety. It's a nice accessory to answer calls, respond to messages and notifications, track fitness, and more. There is a current issue with it, though, where music apps will bug out if you flip the watch when they're open, but otherwise I have no issues with the Wear OS. I would like to mention that, even on the Google Store website, it notes how the battery life on the original Pixel Watch doesn't last long enough (I have to charge it every morning), compared to all-day battery life on the Pixel Watch 2, so that's something to consider when choosing between this and the newer model.

Love it
I had been wanting a smart watch for a long time. This fills all my needed. It is sleek and matches outfits - professional and casual. It is comfortable and easy to wipe clean. The battery lasts about a day and a half, although I have most of the notifications turned off. I use it mainly for the Fitbit app (sleep tracking has been very insightful), my subway card (Google wallet) and so that I don't panic if I walk away from my phone. Ingration with my Pixel phone is flawless. Lots of customization options available to make it functional. Responding to text messages with simple phrases or emojis is easy. Purchase was worth the price, I use it every day and really have no complaints.

Demo unit, not bad... But returned
If this was a normal pixel watch 1, I would've kept it 100%. After getting this I realized the strap was locked in place... This is the first sign of it being an in store demo unit. This was later not a problem, turns out of you push the button and pull very hard on the strap, it comes out and you just have to clean out the glue residue from inside the watch afterwards. The screen was perfect, no burn in for me. But I can understand the burn in from other reviewers who got not so good demo units. Mine was spotless. The reason for the return is because the demo unit is essentially a low powered normal version. So it has 1gb ram instead of 2, and 8 gb storage instead of 32. Still, not too bad of a price at this point, it's just not a good priced deal like I expected. This lowered ram means I cannot update the watch (it fails on the install) and using NFC payments is disabled. Had the charge the watch twice just to last the day, and as beautiful as the watch is, it wasn't worth it. Plus I think health sensors aren't functional, but don't quote me on that. If the seller could've knocked the price down to sub 50$ I would've kept it as it's definitely better than cheap Chinese smart watches here. I was offered only 10$ recompensed on 115$ payment. Based off all this, and that review that said 'dont think it won't happen to you' I think it's safe to say you'll get a demo unit, just the question is what condition will the screen be in.

Just. Don't. Do it.
I read each of the previous reviews. I though to myself: "Maybe MY experience will be different." Spoiler alert: It wasn't. So, let's start with "Renewed." The seller notes that this means the "Product will be restored to its original factory settings" and "All products have been professionally inspected, tested, cleaned, and refurbished as necessary by Amazon-qualified suppliers. " HOW???? Apparently "professionally inspected" doesn't include actually turning on the watch, because like others, it was locked into "kiosk mode." Cue an hour of online research to figure out how to get it into recovery mode. The screen exhibited severe "burn-in," also consistent with being in kiosk mode for months. It was NOT the LTE model, as advertised. Finally-- and this is merely a suspicion, because I wasn't going to break the strap to find out-- I suspect that these demo watches have non-removable straps. Not budging, at all. Understandable as an anti-theft measure in a store, but a no-go on an actual consumer watch. Just don't do it. Sure, it'd be a great price, if the actual watch came close to being what it was advertised to be. It isn't. It won't be if you roll the dice and ignore the reviews. It'll just be sad. Sad, painful, and unrewarding.
