Mayo Clinic on Healthy Aging

I purchased this book on a book reviewer's recommendation and find out it very well suited to this stage of life. It is a practical, all-in-one resource that I've confidently recommended to others.

Questions, answers and concerns about one's overall health is what I like the most.

This is an excellent easily readable “how to” book on bettering our healthspan. I found important information in every chapter. I have applied most of the recommendations. I highly recommend this book for those interested in improving physical and mental health thru lifestyle changes

This is an excellent informational guide as are most books from the Mayo Clinic library. My issue is with the vendor. I purchased the book "new" to give as a gift. The book arrived, clearly unread (even had a stick-on barcode), without a dust cover and haphazardly packed. This resulted in minor dirt and marks on the cover. I can not give as a gift now, but will keep the book for myself. The price was a mark down, though that doesn't excuse the poor packing

Covers major aging issues, causes and what you can do to lower your risk. VERY comprehensive.

Love all the Health information in each chapters

Very basic information. For almost all of the illnesses listed the recommendation was always the same - enough sleep, exercise, a balanced diet and avoid alcohol and smoking. Although the book was very well organized I did not gain any new information. Very disappointing!
