Adventurer 5M Pro 3D Printer with Camera & Light

It's a great printer. Super easy to set up. I had it out of the box and printing in 20 minutes. I came to this from an old bedslinger and it's a night and day difference. Automatic leveling and a full enclosure makes a huge difference. I bought the full set of nozzle sizes and tried out the finest one. It makes amazingly detailed prints. I haven't tried the large nozzle yet, but I'm sure it'll be fine. There are a few little annoyances. The top of the feed tube rubbed on the lid for the first few prints until I trimmed it down. The placement of the feed for the filament is in the top right rear corner of the machine, which limits placement options. I got a filament dryer and modified it with a feed tube coming out the top. It sits right next to the side and works great. Most annoying is the small fan that runs constantly when the rear power wlseitch is on. It is quite annoying, so I just flick the switch when I'm not using it. Beyond those little issues it's been pretty much flawless. I had one print fail, but it was my fault because I touched the build plate with my bare hands and oil from my skin caused the next print to not adhere. After Cleaned the plate with soap and water and applied the included glue and never had another issue. I have made some taller objects and it is so much more stable than a bedslinger. I have been using the orca slicer and coming from Cura it was a bit different, but not a steep learning curve. I like that I can send the files wirelessly to the printer on my network. I have not tried the cloud print. Any annoying things about the printer are forgotten when the first perfect layer goes down and the speed ramps up. This thing prints So Fast compared to my old machine. It's like 5 times faster. Being fully enclosed means that errant drafts don't cause parts to cool unevenly and warp. This alone is worth the extra cost. Now I spend more time actually printing, and less getting the printer to work.

i bought this because it was supposed to be easy to use and ready to go out of the box after a few screws are removed and a bed test, well the bed wont heat up, the filament it came with is brittle, the cube it prints failed i suspect because the bed wont heat up, not at all, i placed my hand on it and it wasnt even warm a little bit, i got a broken printer out of the box, its not my job to repair a new printer. i should not have to fix anything on it right now. when we order something new it should work, going to message amazon about it later and try to return it, i will try again though and get another one because bad products can and does happen, sure they test the printer at the factory by running filament through it but that doesnt mean they test the rest of it or that damage doesnt happen during shipping so i am willing to give them another chance as of right now they get 1 star, way to much money for something that doesnt work properly out of the box.

I found myself amazed with the quality and price as well as performance and features of this unit! I'm definitely glad I bought this one at the expense of the rest of the lower level models. I have no complaints about this one

This printer is small but powerful, it cost nearly 1/4 of what my other one does, but makes prints equally as good. I run this one in my living room as it doesnt take up much space. Operating system is pretty easy to use as well. The only thing I dont like is the filament ptfe tube doesnt have a locking mechanism where it meets the extruder head. If you are running out of filament mid print and you try to push a new filament in as its being used up, its easy to pop the ptfe tube out of the head and if you dont fix it quick enough you will create a gap in your print. This machine does not have a filament run out sensor and will not pause.

Very good 3d printer once you've figured out the kinks. My 3d printer ran very well up until I did a project where my extruder heat reached 265 and then it started becoming very stringy and began to have a clicking noise that sometimes would happen rather than the 3d printer printing anything at all. My boyfriend helped me take it apart several times and we would have to fix the clogging issue that would persist nearly every single print we did until it stopped extruding entirely. I tried buying a new motor part for it thinking it would fix the issue but, it unfortunately did not. I then had to buy a new extruder entirely and it has been running beautifully since. My HUGE HUGE recommendation for the heat settings is no more that 220 for the nozzle (220 seems to be the sweet spot for nearly perfect prints) and the bed at 55. It has been running so so much smoother and I haven't run into the issue of the clicking noise or the stringy texture.

I like the printer. Even though it is my first one and don't have anything to compare it to, it works well. The tube at the top was a little too long and it scratched the inside of the lid which is annoying.

Ordered on Dec 5th for christmas. Opened it on the 25th. It worked for a few days before it started printing scribble string. It took me a few more days to realize it may be clogged. It went back to working but i had to unclog it a few times. Today on Jan 7th, about 2 weeks since opening it, I tried printing a toy for my son and it started making a loud noise and the motor on the printing bed is not functioning. I uploaded a video and picture. Dont mind the plastic at the bottom of the machine, I knocked it off the tray when it started making the noise to record it.

I started 3D printing in 2019. This is my 4th printer. I had 2 others that are now considered bedslingers still up and running before this purchase. Here's the thing - Flashforge is a great company. They have great products. However, this specific printer isn't ideal for just anyone, and isn't the best pick for beginners. Since it's high speed, that means you can only use certain filaments if you expect good results. You have to use high speed, and you have to be careful about what prints you're doing because if you're doing anything even remotely small and intricate on the build plate, it's going to get ripped right off. I've spent dozens and dozens of hours testing so many types of filaments and prints and while it's a nice printer, I can't pretend that I'm not heartbroken an disappointed in it. I run a local campaign that I won't get too far into, but suffice to say that I was spending hundreds of dollars on mini trinkets for because my 2 other, much older printers couldn't handle the level of detail I was looking for. I spent weeks researching this printer and the Bambu A1 Combo. I ultimately decided to go with this one because I'd already been waiting for over a month, and the Bambu happened to be out of stock when I was finally ready to make my purchase. The kicker? It was my friend, and a partner in the campaign, who bought the last Bambu A1. He's a brand new maker - keep this in mind. We got our printers at the same time. Putting aside that he has AMS capabilities and I don't, he's over there pumping out gorgeous prints at 4X the rate that I am. He's not struggling with his slicer. He's not struggling with intricate details being ripped off the build plate due to retraction speeds. He's not struggling with only being able to use a fraction of filaments available. But I am. I've also had to uninstall and reinstall the slicer I don't even know how many times, at this point. If you change ANY speed or retraction settings and discard them for the next project, the slicer gets stuck in a loop and won't discard the settings. You have to manually delete the files to get rid of them. The slicer is also buggy as heck. I will say it was very easy to set up. It connects by itself and is print ready within 20 minutes out the box. The issue with connectivity lies in the slicer. You have to log out and back in, reset the connection on occasion. It is extremely quiet when the top and bottom doors are closed. It does get a bit louder with one of them open, but it's the fan making the noise and it's still much quieter than my old Ender or Aurora. The top door got scratched up from the extruder tube rubbing within 3 days, so that's annoying. I even shortened it a bit and it still rubs. Do I think it was worth it for the money? The Bambu A1 is only $20 more. Sometimes. Sometimes I do, and sometimes I regret this purchase with everything in me. This printer was supposed to save me money. It was supposed to make my life easier. It hasn't done either of those things. But at least I've had a little fun....I guess. I will say that after you spend literal hours of your life having to hunt down the kind of filament you CAN use, it does produce gorgeous prints. There's that, at least.
