5 inches min. stretch and 7 inches max stretch without breaking. Hope this helps.

Q: I'm looking for something like this for the arm of my recliner. Too small?

Much too small in area to be of any use especially on a recliner and mine is a small recliner. I am sending them back.

Q: Will this fit the Coleman Lay-Z-Spa?

The brackets are able to expand to hold on to anything the size of the Intex and anything slightly thicker. I can't say if it fits the Coleman we are using it on the Intex

Q: Can this be used on the side of an above ground pool?

Yes!! It fits on our 27ft round above ground
