Works for dog attacks!
Love this stuff. Carry it with me for dog attacks. My dog and I were charged by a vicious, medium size dog. Sprayed it in the face with this and stopped the charge. Used it a second time on another dog (stray) and it ran the other way immediately. Love that this is pepper GEL so it has weight to it for breezy days, versus pepper spray that could get into your eyes easier. Also you can spray and hit your target from quite a distance. 10 feet or more I would say. While this works well for detering dogs, also recommend carrying a taser as a back up if you live in a place where its a concern.

* “Worked Better Than Expected — Highly Recommend”
This is an excellent product. I unfortunately had to use it, and it worked even better than I expected. It gave me confidence and did exactly what it’s supposed to do. I definitely recommend it for personal safety.

Great Self Defense Tool
This pepper gel spray is an ideal choice for those seeking a compact and convenient self-defense tool. Its perfect size ensures that it is lightweight and can easily fit into most bags, purses, or pockets without taking up much space. The inclusion of a clip is a thoughtful feature that allows for easy attachment to belts, bags, or clothing, making it readily accessible in case of an emergency. The durability of the aluminum canister is noteworthy, as it is robust enough to withstand being jostled around in a bag alongside other items without sustaining damage. Additionally, the canister has proven to be leak-proof, providing peace of mind that the gel spray will remain contained until it is needed. Overall, this pepper gel spray combines practicality with reliability, making it a valuable addition to any personal safety arsenal.

Very powerful 👌👌👌👌
Quite powerful, perhaps the best I’ve It delivers a stream with a very long range, firm and direct. It’s easy to store and conceal. It’s also easy to use, simply lift the safety flap with your finger, aim, and press. The safety flap is of high quality, so there’s no risk of it being pressed accidentally. Very well made 100/100.

A great defense weapon.
I gave it 4 stars vs. 5 because if possible the clip needs to be more durable. I attached it to my belt and noticed at some point it fell off. I retracted my steps but couldn't find it. I will have to secure it a different way. I still do enjoy the product and I purchased a 2nd one to replace the one I lost.

Made in USA. Has molded belt clip. Get gel, not spray!
Update 8/23/2025 Added photos of new canisters I bought. Read the important guide that comes along with it. I’m still using this stuff and swear by it. Gel is absolutely the way to go in my opinion. So glad the molded side clip is catching on. Remember, a threat can present itself out of nowhere. When you need to protect yourself and your doggies, you need to be able to have your defense ready immediately (while evaluating the threat as things can change very quickly). Fractions of a second count. Keep it clipped to the side where your free hand is. The other hand will be controlling your doggie(s). Using a soft pouch with elastic on the sides and a flap on top for retention may have a cute look to it, but it will take valuable time away from visually evaluating the perceived threat. Better to be ready sooner. Valuable seconds can go by very quickly while fiddling with getting your gel out. Keep staying safe folks! :) Update 5/6/2023 Still using this stuff with confidence. Always use gel. Spray will only end up affecting you and your animals, making you more vulnerable. Always get the version with the belt clip. The versions that come with an elastic holster will only delay you being able to use the product a few precious seconds. When you must use this, you need it now. A lot can happen in the few seconds of fiddling with a holder. So, get gel, get one with a clip molded to the product neck, and check the laws in the area you are in to ensure you can legally carry this. It’s quite effective and worth every penny. If anything has improved, the gel stream is even more precise. Update 4/4/2021 Thought I’d update. I still swear by this stuff. I’ve had two more aggressive loose dog run ins. The gel with the built in plastic clip is absolutely the way to go! If you get the spray, it’ll just blow into you and your dogs. Then you’re left standing there with your eyes sealed shut. Get gel and your chances of hitting your target go way up while minimizing any getting on you or your dogs. My latest incident was with another loose pit bull. This dog was on a mission and it wasn’t to say hi. Grabbed the gel off my belt, aimed, and a stream (not spray) of this goo spattered its face. Sorry dog, but if it’s between my dogs and I vs you, you’re gonna lose. It ran off into some bushes and started rolling around while we got outta there. Great stuff! Update 7/30/19 I swear by this stuff! Had another run-in with a dog while walking my dogs. This dog was very aggressive, so I used the gel again. Very shortly after the steam hit the dog, away it stumbled into the dark. After being in law enforcement for 20 years, I assure you this stuff is miserable for 20 minutes or so. Don’t get me wrong, I love animals, but I won’t hesitate defending myself/my animals when I have no choice. It’s now 2 for 2 (first incident was with two dogs, so maybe I can say it’s 3 for 3). Can’t praise the gel stream enough especially now that it has the built in belt clip. Go with the built in belt clip. Others are offered with a flimsy nylon holster with Velcro flap. Takes too much time to deploy when you need it most. Gel with belt clip is the way to go. Unlike the aerosol, the gel goes direct to the target. Aerosol can EASILY blow right back at you in even the slightest of wind. Leaving you vulnerable. I always carry two with me on my belt and have a supply at home. Worth every penny. Sabre also makes this with the Ruger brand on it. Sabre recently release this product that comes with the built in belt clip, like the Ruger model. This gel is amazing. A pair of pit bulls showed up out of nowhere while walking my dogs. I emptied the whole canister on them as they approached. They ran and began rubbing their heads into the park lawn. Eventually stumbled away. Go gel. Always go gel. Plus this has the uv marking dye that will make whoever/whatever attacked you glow in the dark when hit with a uv light. Get this version with the belt clip and walk with confidence.

I haven't used this product, but I've used a lot of OC. It works. On people.
I recently purchased this and haven't had a chance to use it yet. I've also never used a gel before. However, I have used other SABRE products, notably Phantom and Red, with a fogger delivery system. I've used it on a lot of people (I teach defensive tactics, which includes OC), and I've been sprayed a number of times. To be clear, I'm not hooked on SABRE. I've used several quality products. The OC does work. Phantom and Red and the highest percentage of major capcasinoids (1.33%) you can purchase, before you move into bear spray (2.0%). One advantage of the Crossfire system is that it can be sprayed from any angle. This isn't true of all OC delivery systems, even within the SABRE family. Another benefit of this product is the UV dye. I believe this lasts for days, even with washing. If the cops can track down a bad guy within a day or two, they can confirm the person has been sprayed (or somehow got UV dye all over their face). SABRE is one of the top manufacturers of OC on the market, along with Defensive Technologies. I'd buy from either of these companies rather than risk a generic brand. I look at negative reviews when considering a purchase, as they are very useful. I decided to mention a few things about a few of the negative reviews for this product, because they don't paint a fair picture of OC. I'm speaking of OC in general, not necessarily SABRE brand. First, there was a comment that this shouldn't be stored in environments above 120 degrees, and the company should have done a better job informing customers. This temperature isn't just for this product. No aerosol cans are supposed to be stored above 120 degrees, just as they shouldn't be stored in extreme cold. It has nothing to do with the product. It's the same for spray paint, WD-40, air horns, etc. It's because of the pressure from both extremes, and the effects they have on the can itself, the contents, and the seals. OSHA goes into a lot of detail about how aerosols are stored in the workplace. The same holds true in your personal storage. Second, there were many comments that this was worthless because it didn't stop dogs. OC is designed for people, not dogs. OC can certainly work on dogs, but there are several factors to consider. It doesn't work on all dogs, it may not work on aggressive dogs, and it can make aggressive dogs even more aggressive. You also have to keep in mind this is a gel, NOT a spray or fogger. This means you need direct eye contact with the product application. If you miss by even a little, it's not going to be effective. The gel doesn't have a straight trajectory right out of the can; you need to practice with it to learn how to spray it, because, again, it has to make direct contact with the eyes. If you want a higher success rate, go with a stream/fogger. There is a downside to that, too, which I've experienced myself. OC from a stream/fogger hangs in the air and blows around in the wind. There's a good chance you're going to take a hit from it, too. I didn't look at all the negative reviews, but of the ones I did, none said it didn't work on people. Lastly, there were negative reviews about the size being too big to put in your pocket. The size is listed in the product description. There are photos of it being held in people's hands. It comes with a belt clip for attaching to your belt. They do make smaller cans designed for everyday carry. This isn't one of them.
