Yamaha CD-C603 5-Disc CD Changer with USB Playback

The cd player works great. Loading 5 cds at a time is a plus!

When my old CD player stopped working I was happy to find another one that plays five discs. It was easy to set up and I was listening to music soon after it was out of the box. The sound is great and I’m very happy with this purchase.

Everything was great.

There was a time you could get 100s of cds in one cd changer and use it as a transport. Now we only have a few big name brands left and 5 cds is the maximum quantity you can put in a component size player. This Yamaha unit is a workhorse and produces clean, uninterrupted music for as long as you want to listen. CD load time is great, and my use case is via optical out. The only thing missing is no coaxial out connection. You can only connect to your dac via optical out. Overall finish is perfect. Amazon shipping was not great because they ship these items by putting the original box inside a bigger amazon box with just a little brown paper in the name of insulation! Mine arrived from a nearby location and survived despite being delivered by USPS. All functions work flawless and CD switching is seamless. Get it now if you don't have a proper cd player/transport.

One of Yamaha's best, this CD caracole changer of 5 CDs, works very well however you can't play all the disks at random by programing them! But you can program them to play one at a time at random. So, play just one or get about 6:35 hours with all 5 CDs at continuous playing them. This is what it was like having a CD playing system back in the 1990s, I'm glad to see that Yamaha still has this option available today. Streaming will not completely kill the CD, having a hard copy of your music will aways be available to use in the future, because of trendy changes that come and go when people change there style of media usage over time.

The draw never opened making the machine useless from the start. Called customer service and had a quick response. They told me to return it since I received a defective CD changer. This is expensive machine. I had to open the outer Amazon carton, then open the CD changer box, remove the packaging and read the instructions, pull out the CD changer and place it in a shelf above my receiver. Plug the cord into the back of the receiver. Then plug in the included RCA cable into the CD changer and receiver. I was getting excited,I turned on the power on the receiver, then turned on the power on the new beautiful CD changer, the new machine lit up and I was ready to place in my CDs. So I looked over the instructions again pressed the button that was lit up. No responce so I checked instructions again and found another way to open the draw. I pressed the button multiple times as instructed. No responce, draw wouldn’t open, what a disappointment. Then I had to dismantle the whole thing, repackage the whole thing, and cart off to UPS. I wondered how this machine made it past quality control.

Great replacement for our old cd player. So seems worth the money.

Works as advertised

Facile a connecter, très solide mécanique, ca fonctionne bien, 5 disques c est pratique. Un seul bémol, dans le mode Shuffle, c est sur un seul disque le mélange des chansons,il n est pas possible d écouter une chanson sur un disque et la prochaine sur un autre,je présume que ca prendrais trop de temps a cause du mécanisme de changement de disque, 5 étoiles pour moi.
