Go with the UTG .83 riser and it will be perfect. Right now they are running between 6 and 8 bucks here on Amazon.

What riser height for co witness

Bushnell TRS-25, which this appears to be a clone of except TRS-25 is 3MOA vs 4MOA RedDot with 1.0" riser gives 1/3 Co-Witness... So for true Co-Witness I'd think 0.83 riser is needed.

Should the "dot" be a well defined round dot? I just purchased two of these and the "dot" is not round it's more like a flame on a match.

Had the same issue. Dot looked like a pbs documentary nebula. Put my glasses back on...low and behold....clear round dot. I've had several red and green dot sights do this. If you still see spider webs after the glasses, contact the manufacturer. They've been known to have issues. I've been pretty fortunate. Mostly my eyes, not the hardware.

What is the recommended torque for the riser mount screw? The red dot itself is 45-65 inch lbs, but it doesn’t say how much for the riser.

I did the riser at 45 in lbs. used some non permanent lock tite to hold in place. I have it mounted on a Ruger 10/22 rifle.
