Good product would recommend again
Works good, but was a little bit of a learning curve in how to handle it for correct readings

What’s the frequency Kenneth.
I bought one of those cheap wooden saunas, that advertise low EMF. Then I read reviews about how some companies lie about being low EMF. So in order to sleep a little better at night I bought this three in one detector. At some point after pressing “buy now” it struck me that I had no idea. What an E, M, or F was. But thankfully, this meter was so easy to use. I was able to turn it on, (using the included 9v battery) and start measuring. It alarms and make a noise when measurements go high. Of course, none of that meant anything to me until I started looking at AI to interpret what it means. The display lights up really well, and if anything, it’s a little bit overly cautious about what is dangerous and what is not. When you’re using it, don’t have a phone in one hand because things like phones and laptops will also register. If it fits nicely in your hand, and you can walk around the house, measuring pretty much everything. My wife was unamused. Great little meter to measure all things EMF

Works fine, as advertised.
This has Been a useful tool for measuring radiation of plugs and sockets, and other devices around the house, and I have been able to use it to determine whether the Dot minimizers actually even work. So I've done Before & After and found this tool very useful. Anda reasonable price!

An eye opener if you are unaware of how strong Wi-fi and electromagnetic fields can be.
A concerning, but widely unknown fact is how strong cell phone signals, Wi-fi, and electromagnetic fields have become over the last three decades. As any competent Biology professor will tell you, a human body is an electro-chemical machine utilizing electrical impulses through nerves to move muscles, feel pain and pressure. Chemical actions within a body regulate cellular activity, hormones, break down food consumed into usable components, etc. Interference with those vital function can and do cause problems. Keeping all this in mind, Cell phone signals and Wi-fi utilize wave energy to operate. Wave energy can range from microwave, x-ray, radio waves, infrared and ultraviolet waves, essentially across the entire wave spectrum. For example, a Microwave oven uses microwave energy to make molecules vibrate rapidly creating heat, that cooks food, such as 'meat' etc. Meat is 'muscle' tissue. The metal sheet with small holes in the glass of a microwave creates a 'Faraday shield' through which microwave signals cannot pass. As the wave strength of Cell phone signals and Wi-fi increases, the potential for disruption in Human cells increases exponentially. This is also true for Electromagnetic fields. Computers generate powerful magnetic fields. The strength of these fields decreases rapidly over distance, so the closer to the source, the stronger the magnetic energy. Cell phones contain very powerful, miniaturized computers! They therefore create powerful electromagnetic fields. This device/tool can measure the strength of all these wave signals. Now, the eye-opening part. Turn the device on while standing away from your cell phone, W-fi router, laptop, or Apple computer. You will notice that the various type of signal strengths displayed on the meter either reads zero, or very, very low from background sources. Then move the device closer and closer to the cell phone, computer, router etc., and watch the numbers (signal strength energy) skyrocket. As those numbers increase a series of lights change from green to yellow, and the red light meaning extremely powerful. I have measured my iPhone 15 Pro, our whole house Netgear router, and pc. For all of them the signal strength goes 'off the charts' as you get close. Within two to six inches of the cell phone the cell signal, microwave band, and electromagnetic readings are alarming! The other devices are the same - alarming. Imagine the potential harm these can do to at the cellular level in your body (such as your brain), if held close for extended periods of time, or continual exposure such as having your phone on your hip all day, or in your pant pockets, close to reproductive organs. Think microwave cooking type damage. The GOOD news, this meter can detect the distances at which the signals can be dangerous, AND Faraday cloth, or blankets can totally block all these signals. Do some research and get some of these Faraday shield materials to protect yourself, and your children. There are many types of Faraday shielding materials such as very light cloth, and blankets sold on Amazon. A word to the wise . . .

Works exactly as described
UPDATE ~~~~~~~ I've been "playing" with this some more. Couple of things I discovered. One time I powered it up and the backlight was non-functioning. I wondered what I had done???. Turns out the Power/Mute button does 3 things. short press turns the unit ON or OFF. 1st Long press Mutes 2nd Long press turns off backlight completely (Display still functions/visible) 3rd Long press unmutes 4th Long press turns on backlight (green/orange/red now effective) The Hold/Max switch (this is documented but not very clear) 1st Short press turns on HOLD function and holds the current settings 2nd Short press turns off HOLD function, numbers return to normal scanning 1st Long press turns on MAX function, instead of numbers fluctuating up and down the MAX simply holds the highest value reached (once it stops changing, that's the max value) 2nd Long press turns off the MAX function Now a quirk. Safe (green), Alert (orange), Avoid (red). I started looking around at other devices and checking online for what are recommended "safe" values and that produced a number of different sites showing various ranges. I then discovered that the ranges are also variant depending which country you are in!!! Amazon has other EMF detectors which trigger Alerts at lower ranges than this unit. Some have ranges starting at .001 and even .0001 and max values way beyond the Alert triggering levels. Indeed this unit has max ranges way above it's triggering "Alert" values. Not sure where I could test this to reach a MAX value and not sure I want to be that close or around such devices anyway!!! So I guess the point I'm making is that for me, the range values are not so important because who knows what really is "bad" vs "good" numbers. If this unit beeps fast and turns red, I simply don't care what the number states on the display.. Clearly that's a problem. Even if it slow beeps and is orange, I'm still concerned. What I'm really using this monitor for is identifying how close do you have to be to items that start the counters increasing and identifying places where the device registers zero or close to when green. Basically, I can easily get the unit to register Alert by having the monitor touching certain devices (including the microwave). What I'm learning is don't let kids put there face up to things without first checking what is a safe distance for them. I don't intend to sleep on my microwave but I am also surprised how much energy the darn thing radiates when it's on. I'm also concerned about my mobile phone and how much energy that thing is putting out... So I do not use the phone next to my ear, nor do I use wireless ear buds... I have gone with wired because of the radiated numbers I get. I still cannot validate the accuracy of the unit. I have 2 other older devices and all 3 seem to give slightly different numbers. However, do I care which one beeps at what number? Nope... I simply know that all of them go crazy when next to Routers, TVs, LED bulbs, Microwaves, etc etc, and all stop when I move inches away from the device. I've no intent on sleeping or resting my head on any of those devices whether they are powered up or not!!! What I still like about this unit is the HOLD, MAX, triple onscreen display, the audible alerts and the visual color alert. The ability to turn off some of those features is nice but not essential in my usage. I still recommend this. ORIGINAL REVIEW ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I particularly like that depending on which tester exceeds various limits, the display will change from Green to Orange to Red. Readings seem valid but I have no way of verifying if the displayed readings are accurate or not. None the less, it does give readings that help identify concerns. Like for examples, safe distance from a Microwave, just how much RF energy is in the room with all the 5GHz RF in the house!!! I also tried it with my Samsung Phone and as I've always known for years, stick that mobile phone next to your ear and you WILL get a dose of RF.. That's why I only use the speakerphone or a I'll plug in a cabled headset!!! So it's a fun toy if nothing else which regardless of the accuracy of the readings (which I'm not questioning), does highlight things in the house that you should be aware of that give out energy that might not be good for you.

Get the EMF away from your bed
Seems to work well. Super easy to use. The Red Yellow and Green displays are bold and easy to tell when you're near something bad. My GF and I went through our house and located several questionable devices which we moved farther away from areas we spend a lot of time. I am surprised people rate it due to the cheap 9-volt battery which is included -- the included battery worked but it's a low quality battery -- buy yourself a good Alkaline 9-volt and be done with that problem. You need to HOLD the unit to get accurate readings, can't just sit it on the table and let it go, it won't work correctly like that. We value our health and this looks important. Our worst offending EMF was coming from Thunderbolt connectors (yes the plugs) and from cheap DC USB chargers, one of which was very near my wife's head when she's sleeping. All the electronics have been moved away from our bed :) Wishing you all, low EMF days!

Not Even Close - 2nd Version May be Better...
I figured for 25 bucks I didn't have much to lose so I rolled the dice. I have a $200 Cornett meter which is very accurate (I've tested against similarly priced TriField and Safe and Sound meters). This meter is just totally hit and miss. It's weird, because SOMETIMES it registers the correct amount of RF (more or less), but then other times it just shows 0 when there's DEFINITELY a lot of RF. It seems like if there's a VERY HIGH amount of RF, it will register, and then if you back away it seems to slowly drop down more or less accurately. But if you start from a lower amount (let's say 3mW/m2 - which, by the way, is still PLENTY to cause health issues), it will frequently just not register anything at all. It almost feels like, if you can imagine this, a sensor that's "sticky" - like, it takes a bit to "move the bar", but then in will "get stuck". I guess this is just what you'd expect from cheap electronics/sensors. It's a shame, because I like the interface idea with the color changing, but the problem is, it just doesn't work. Worse still, it will undoubtedly give people a false sense of safety because it doesn't register RF that is most definitely effecting them. So you can hold it up and say "see, this room's all clear" when it's NOWHERE CLOSE. So yeah, if you want to hold it RIGHT NEXT to your WAP, or your phone that's currently on an active call, it will show RF - but DUH - of course we know there's RF coming from these devices. The problem is thinking that lower amounts of RF just don't exist because this meter doesn't show it. So as a "fun gadget", I guess this is sort of functional - sort of. But if you're really looking for a device to show you what's ACTUALLY going on with the EMF in your environment, forget it - absolutely worthless. I'd like my 25 bucks back but it's not worth the trouble. Lesson learned. You get what you pay for. ***UPDATE*** - The vendor has contacted me and not only offered a refund, but also an upgraded model, which I'm told has better accuracy. One I receive the new model, assuming the accuracy is in fact better, I will update this review again. Definitely please with the vendor's excellent service!

Great Device!
It actually works, and detects what it's suppose to. Now I'm mindful of harmful devices placed close to my bed.
