My model is acsrg , genie manufacture date is week 38 of 1997, will it work with mine?

Yes! I have a model before 1998 - ignore the instructions that come with the remote, and look it up on YouTube. It's SUPER easy - you just push the button on the opener (on the roof of the garage), it blinks, push the remote button, and it's programmed. If you search for "program universal remote old genie" or something to that effect you'll find some good videos.

Does it work with overhead door legacy 800 model 2026?

Sorry, overhead door legacy 800 model 2026 is belong to Intellicode II technology. It is not compatible. If the frequency of your original remote is 390Mhz, and the original remote type is GIT-1/ACSCTG Type1/ACSCTO Type1, it should be compatible with your garage door opener.(NOT work for remote with dip switches).

Does it work with Genie model 2042?

If your original remote control type is ACSCTG GIT-1 Type, and the frequency is 390MHZ, then it will work.

How do you clear the memory of this specific garage door opener?

You erase the memory in the motor unit hanging in the garage. Don't think you can wipe the coding in the remote.
