I can tell you factually that this device will program for the 2013 and 2015 Jeep Wrangler. For programing, go to this forum and search for a post by JeepRocks (me). The post includes a video by o3djeeps (CPO), and at minute 5:57 he walks you through the unbelievably simple programming process. 1-put first original key in, turn to the "ON" position (not running) for 3 seconds (no more than 5 seconds) shut it off, remove key #1 2-put second original key in and turn to "ON". Leave key in until security light starts to floash - about 10 seconds (on dash, lower right hand corner-you can't miss it) 3-remove key #2, put new key in, turn to "ON" for about 5 seconds, then move to "RUN" to start the car. When finished, ensure lock/unlock/;panic work. If you only have 1 key, you should download an app called "OBD2 JSCAN" and follow the instructions elsewhere in this review list. NOTE: This is a fairly large fob (I like) and normal key making machines cannot handle it. You can take the fob apart and remove the blade which the keymaker can then strike for you. If you are not used to disassembling and reassembling small things, DO NOT EVEN TRY TO DO THIS. The blade spring WILL unwind on you. It is not particularly hard to take this apart (use knife to remove back then do what comes natural). All of the complexity is in the silver button/spring mechanism. It's very straight forward and very sturdy. I used 2 turns of the spring to emulate the original strength of the blade release. Again, if you are not used to taking small things apart DO NOT DO THIS. It took me 5 minutes to carefully disassemble and 5 minutes to reassemble. You do not have to remove the 2032 battery.

This key has many issues. It doesn't fit my Jeep Compass, so I cannot use the key to unlock the driver-side door - I can only use it to start the ignition. The buttons work great, but the panic button is so sensitive I'm constantly hitting it on accident. The worst part about this key fob, is that the battery goes in & out. The fob will work fine for about a month, and then it'll randomly stop working. The only way to get it working again is to take the battery out and put it back in - or get a new battery altogether. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this if you have the same car as me.

Had my local locksmith cut the new key. Used JScan to program it to my jeep and can’t be happier. Buttons work and feel great was quick and easy to program and use worked on my 2016 jeep wrangler no issues. Great key to get rid of the bulky stock key

I don't usually leave reviews, but I wanted to leave a review here with the hope that it helps someone else with the frustrations so many have experienced. Before I get into it, I will say this key fob works well for my 2008 Jeep Patriot. It is a significant upgrade from the one that came with the vehicle. It feels solid, and the buttons have a good response. I agree with some other reviewers that the panic button can be sensitive. Now for the issue where it spontaneously stops working. I've had this happen twice. I've found two simple solutions. First, replace the battery with a better quality one, and second, make sure the connectors on the circuit board are aligned with the battery terminal. The circuit board tends to slide out of place. Once you have it aligned, make sure to screw the back piece in as tightly as you can to keep it in place. One final thing– my local locksmith had trouble cutting it. It works in the ignition but not the door. Edit: It stopped working so I had it replaced. This time I took it apart and brought only the metal key piece to the locksmith who was able to cut it no problem. It works both in the door and ignition. So far so good. I'll update my review if anything changes.

I bought this as a replacement for my 2015 Jeep Renegade. It was nearly identical. The blade broke off mine, so I just needed to swap the parts into the new casing. Just pop the back cover off, remove 3 screws and you’re there. I will say the blade was a bit big and needed filing to fit. Also, the spring mechanism isn’t working properly, but it was prior to me taking it apart, so that could just be MY error and I didn’t feel like messing with it anymore. Otherwise it was perfect. I was even able to use the original “JEEP” backing on it! The only thing I’d suggest is using a better battery then what comes with it. People that are complaining about the battery, just put a better one in.

I was looking to get a spare key for my Jeep and saw this item referenced in an online video detailing how to get your key programmed. I liked the idea of being able to fold the key to prevent scratching of a phone or snagging on other items. The product works well as advertised. I was able to locate a locksmith that would cut the key so I could program it. I recommend finding a place to get the key cut before purchasing. All of the big box stores have policies that prevent them from helping. This key does not fit in the center console or glove box. This is most likely due to the key being notably thicker than the factory key and the grooves along the outside not being aligned exactly the same as the factory. The key works in the door and ignition as well as the door lock / unlock functions. If this key opened the console and glove box, I would give it 5 stars.

The fob is big. I have tried to use without keys but it's better with. I waited a few days to activate the transponder. I thought it was going to be difficult. It took 12 seconds..it's been working great ever since. I don't mind the size. Some say it stops working after a few days. What happens the battery holder losescontact. I soldier them in .

It was easy enough to program with the Jeep OBD app and Bluetooth OBD II device. Worked for about 5 weeks. Posted a question asking if any other people had issues with it just stop working, seller responded to my question asking me to contact them directly about it. I emailed them. No response. I would not recommend purchasing this. Also, if you have remote start, pressing the unlock, lock, and blank button at the same time will trigger that function, which is a bit awkward to do without using two hands.

I bought this in August 2021 and now the battery's completely dead. Is that normal? I mean for tiny things should definitely last more than 6 months.

Nice fob, but doesn't fully work. Programed twice and Panic wont shut off
