Our Portable Lulling model offers all of the same features as our legendary offset smoker in a trailer-mounted form factor perfect for competition, tailgating, or corporate events. Each Texas Original Pits Trailer is built by hand in Houston, TX and features a 2” steel framework, 2” tow coupler, top wind screw jack, safety chains, universal light kit, steel fenders, 3500 lbs axle, and 15" wheels. We also outfit each trailer with a firewood cage and a propane tank / water cooler holder. So why the offset smoker? It also happens to be a ridiculously effective and simple way of delivering consistent low and slow heat over the duration of a cook. When you picture that melt-in-your-mouth brisket cooked by legendary Central Texas pitmasters you can bet your burnt ends it was cooked on an offset smoker-style pit like the Luling. This style of pit is often referred to as a stick burner because the firebox allows air to pass over a wood burning fire converting it into mild heat and smoky flavor in the cooking chamber. At Texas Original BBQ Pits we have refined the offset pit through rugged construction and superior heat management. We took everything we have learned from the competition barbeque circuit (like moving the smokestack to the end of the cooking chamber vs the top) and paired it with best-in-class engineering and construction. All models feature dual dampers for airflow adjustment, 3" multi-temp zone heat gauge, grease drain, and grill grates for the firebox standard. All Lulling trailer mounted models come standard with a 2nd level shelf. Double door lids are standard on the 20" model while the 24" diameter model features triple lids for maximum cooking versatility.
