All Trappist-1 NASA Edition have luminous hands and screen printed dials for stargazing. The orbiting planetary system consists of luminous Super-LumiNova indices and planets to help space explorers track time as they travel to the darkest regions of the universe. The inner luminous planet represents the hours while the outer luminous planet shows the minutes, all while orbiting the central axis. The constellation-like second hand crosses the dial similarly to comets crossing the night sky and once every minute aligns to complete the dial of the Trappist-1 star map. The Trappist-1 is built around a high torque TMI VH31 movement with semi-sweeping second hand. The caseback features a commemorative artwork engraved for the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission patch. The Trappist-1 grille resembles the dome and gives you the feeling of looking into space. Each of the twelve support decks also serves as a time indicator. The domed crystal is made of ultra scratch resistant sapphire The straps are made from Italian ribbed leather and sewn to pay homage to the articulated ridge lines seen on space gloves.
