Quick Change Folding Utility Knife with 10 Blades

Another quality product by Makita. Disclaimer as I’ve owned Makita products for the past 25 years and I’m very brand loyal but I wouldn’t lie because of that fact. This is a very dependable and strong box cutter blade, i haven’t oiled it or cleaned it since I received it and it works like a charm. Now I solely use it to open Amazon boxes and our moving boxes when we moved into our new home but it does get used daily and is very dependable again! I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase again when and if this one ever fails… I like how it’s solid, has some weight to it but it’s not too heavy. I have yet to have a blade slide or even move around on my while in use! It has a great clip for belts but haven’t used it in that capacity as of yet. I think where the value is - is that it’s ridiculous easy to change the blade as I’ve shown in the video and it opens & closed so easily as also shown in the video. *the green surface is rubbery which helps with the grip and the black surface is all metal which helps it feel sturdy. Overall a very versatile pocket box cutter!

Great heavy duty knife

Quality knife that I use everyday, great buy. It's fairly light weight, easy to change blades and instantly opens with a button press and a flip of the wrist.

Works perfectly

AS the title says, the product is sturdy. No wiggle in the swivel mechanism. Blade is held securely, the standard blade jiggle found in these products is present. Blade holder is a solid brushed nickel finish. The handle is all plastic with the Makita Teal being textured with a slightly softer (but not squishy) plastic finish. I am going to have to do some adjusting on the swivel joint because it will not close with a flick or even a firm swing, though it does open relatively easily with the button pressed. It has a nice metal clip, it is a bit chunky for it's size, definitely not what I would consider a "low pro" form factor. The button spring is nice and stiff, overall I like it. I would like to see it for 15 bucks, it's definitely nice but you can get a fully loaded (albeit chunkier) Fastback for less. As long as I can get the swivel joint flowing a bit more freely I will keep it.

Even the wife likes using it. Nice safety lock, easy to change out blades and sharper than my simple flat blade holder. This knife is well thought out. Wish I had bought it years ago. Makita is well thought out and practical. Comes with spare blades too.

Really nice knife that looks and feels high quality in the hand. I like it, though I haven't used it enough yet. Others complain about the pivot pin becoming sloppy and I can imagine that happening because I've seen many knives of this design with that problem. We'll see. For now it's a 5 star
