RENPHO Body Composition Scale with Handle, 50+ Metrics, MorphoScan Base

If you watch your weight, count calories and are into fitness this scale is perfect. I can now analyze all my stats on my phone and see what needs to be adjusted. It was easy to set up and the app was easy to install. It was simple to add my wife as a separate user and didn’t interfere with my readings.

The RENPHO Smart Scale goes far beyond basic weight tracking—it gives you real insight into your progress, which is where the value actually is. Setup is quick: connect to the app, step on, and it syncs automatically. From there, you get a full breakdown—body fat, muscle mass, BMI, and more—all tracked over time so you can actually see trends, not just daily fluctuations. The scale itself is sleek, compact, and consistent with readings. It feels sturdy and reliable, not cheap or flimsy. What makes this stand out is the accountability factor. When you can see changes beyond just weight, it’s easier to stay motivated and adjust what you’re doing. A couple things to keep in mind: • The advanced metrics are estimates, not medical-grade measurements—use them for trends, not exact numbers. • You need the app to get full value. Overall, if you want more than just a number on a scale and actually care about tracking progress over time, this is a strong buy.

The scale works well. I am convinced it lies to me though, I don’t want to believe I weigh what the scale wants me to believe. I don’t think the scale gives me credit for the salad I ate on Thursday for lunch, and it wants to focus on some other meals to report my height/weight ratio isn’t to its liking. I will note that the scale does not lie to my wife, I don’t know why it likes her more, I was the one who actually bought the darn thing. It gives her all kinds of good numbers. I am going to try and give it fresh, new batteries and see if it starts treating me better. First I need to get lunch, though.

starting with the negative, you can't delete a weigh in and if you try to use lithium batteries its too dim to read and won't connect to the phone app. positive size weight, compact handle, no redundant screen, everything is on the app easy to read. consistent linegraph for nearly a year now shows you how far you have traveled, and you can compare specific dates of your choice to today. in my opinion this is better than the newer scales with the big led screen built into a over sized handle. Great scale. A little annoying it's battery powered, but I guess most are? Good clear, bright, digital display. Tested it with and without holding a 5 pound dumbbell weight and it was spot on accurate.

So incredibly helpful for body composition data trends. I recently lost a lot of weight and this scale has helped me focus on all the other body metrics. It is far more helpful to follow those numbers than just the 3digit weight number. The free app tracks history and will create a report with each weigh in. I have not compared the accuracy of metrics to something like a medical DexaScan. However, watching the trendlines is what is really helpful over time.

It works fine. It took a day or two toget familiar with the app, to be expected.

I purchased this scale as I am paying close attention to my muscle composition while using a glp1. Overall, it's a good scale. Quick and easy to use. The report feature the app has 2 major downfalls. The first is that there doesn't seem to be a way to go into any report history. So save your reports daily if you want to look back on them for detailed history. Also, these reports would be extremely informative except for one key problem, the ideal body weight is set at the low end and cannot be adjusted. Yes, you can set your goal weight to anything, but in the reports, it bases a lot of it's numbers off the ideal weight. It seems to be based on a younger age and does not take much else into account. For example, it lists my ideal at about 150. I am 46 years old and that is the weight I was at when I was 24 years old and had just left basic training for the Army. I am not trying to attain that level, nor would it be healthy for me now. Ideal weight does change with age and mine at my age/height etc is 145-178 lbs. There is no way to adjust or slide the ideal so I'm sitting at the low end of this. For anyone trying to reach a solid baseline of health, this can be extremely discouraging. Everything on the report is skewed if your ideal weight isn't what they set. So while you may actually be in a healthy range, This apps reports will say you are not. If you're working with a doctor, it would be far more useful to be able to set the ideal to what your doctor tells you it should be. While there is useful information in it, I now have to use several apps and piece together my own kind of report rather than use theirs. Overall, this seems to be a good product and well worth the cost, but this aspect is extremely disappointing.

After much deliberation and looking around at various scaled I decided to chance upon it knowing it might not work. For me, it seems to be accurate at least compared to in-body scans that I've done at some different facilities, and it the body part tracking checks out. The scale is also very sensitive to hydration, etc, so you have to know when and what you are actually measuring and the variance between different times of day and take the values as a trend, rather then absolutes. And it might vary greatly between people.

Been a week using it and I am happy with it. First, even before opening it I was ready to complain that for such an expensive product they don't even include batteries, like most don't... I was wrong! Batteries were there, included. The scales is bigger than expected. TBH, does not have a premium feeling. Feels hollow and plasticky. But experience was great. Easy to weigh... just step on and it turns on (older one I had to touch it to come on, wait couple of sec to get rdy, and then step on it... this one you can just step on it and turns on. The app, once connected, registers your weight easily. Then I tried all 8 sensors by pulling the retractable handle out... it did complete measurements - cannot say how accurate, as I didn't have a full dexa scan before, but it seems accurate. After couple of times pulling the handle out, the retraactable mechanism was not that smooth, and got stuck, like with old vacuums that has retractable cord... a bit annoying and would be an issue if I'd measure my full body every day and this would happen often... but it will be once a month, most 2x. so all good. Now, the app has a lot to offer, and is not easy to navigate for the first time.. it needs getting used to. And again, as for my previus burns and too high expectation, I did not expect this important feature to work... Meaning easily switch between profiles and logging separately for my wife and myself. but it works flawlesly. My wife created an account as well, downloaded the app... and every time Is tep on the scales it recognizes me in my app, and every time she steps on it it logs the weight in hers. Magic. Exactly how I wanted to work, without fuff... and it does. So this is enough. And the last thing, that was important to me was consistency. Now I get it, old scales and new might be a bit off.. don't know exactly which one is actualyl weighing correctly, if one at all.. but, this one is off for 800g for me (shhows less than the old one)... but is consistent. Measures the same every time. and this is the most important for me. I recommend. Don't know if 100+ pounds is warranted, but it does the job well.

I bought this one based on the Amazon reviews and am blown away by the build quality, the quality of the app, the seamless integration with Apple Health, etc. I can also take measurements on my watch and save separate profiles for the kids and other family members! Weighing up was never my favourite activity but this scale might be the answer! Worth it!
