AT&T C71KW Osprey OTT Client 4K Wireless Streaming Player Receiver (Renewed)

DirecTV charges $120 for each additional box needed, so finding this box at about half the price was amazing! It is listed as an AT&T box, but since they own DirecTV, it works without a hitch. When I hooked it up to my TV, it immediately identified itself as a DirecTV stream box. I had to pair the included remote to the box, but instructions on how to do so were included. Just press Forward and Rewind buttons simultaneously for 5-10 seconds. After that, everything was smooth sailing. Connecting it to my DirecTV account took no time whatsoever. I was up and running within 10 minutes. Some have reported that these boxes run slower than the newer DTV boxes, but I haven't seen that issue yet on day one. At first it appeared to be slower than my official box, but that was because it was doing updates in the background. After the updates, it runs just as fast as my official box. I highly recommend this to anyone who has DirecTV Stream and wants additional boxes at half the price. My residence provides DTV free of charge, so adding an additional box for pennies on the dollar was a no brainer. Now I have it in my bedroom and living room!

We've used the DirecTV Gemini Air since signing up for the service. It's a WIFI only connection, with no ethernet option. We upgraded to a mesh router, but I wanted to lighten the router radio load. We've experienced the occasional loading delay, so I decided to try a refurbished Gemini with the hardwire option. It has been a seamless change. Setup was easy and it has the same picture and audio performance as the Gemini Air. We're glad we took the chance on this receiver. Only negative is that the remote and the sticky feel of old plastic. It was easily fixed with a remote cover.

This excellent condition box is very nice in the shipping box and out. Its set up is smooth once you get it started as id downloads Android TV updates you can play some trivia it has programmed to pass the time. The picture quality is very good. I have Directv choice and it gets amazing picture and has Dolby, Dolby Digital+ abilitys and makes movies sound great when you use on your surround sound. It comes with HDR on I love the color it provides. Though I had to makes sure I was watching a HDR10+ video to set some color aspects because I found my Samsung DU7200 to be over saturated bright light/white. Since that all movies and basketball looks so damn good!!! I have 2 Gripes about this system. The box is really slow sometimes when you go from say Hulu or Prime Video Ultra back to the Directv guide. Next the remote has no texture or recess on the buttons to know where your fingers are with a short as hell backlighting and at a way to even extend it. It can get warm but thats all I've experienced so far and I have my wall mounted with 2 velcro strips. It won't do Hulu live tv if you have it. I did and it says its not supported on this device. But I got it for the Directv anyways. It runs all other apps great. I even am able to access my MLB.com season pass with not a stitch lag going from channels to opening streaming apps. Definitely get this worth the money to me for this amazing picture it provides.

Works like it should! Used these before I cut the cord on cable! Don't use anymore, i have 2, if anyone is interested

When I opened the box, I was disappointed to find that the remote was like one you would find in a cheap hotel. It was sticky and even had crumbs in some of the buttons. The power cord had a bent prong. Poor for the price of $79. The rest looked new. I was expecting to return it, but hooked it up to give it a chance. Setup was super easy and it all works fine. I does exactly what I wanted which is to have better functionally over the Samsung remote when watching sports. So, oh well, I cleaned off the nasty remote and I guess it will do.

I bought this device for my elderly parents who have DirectStream from AT&T. The primary purpose was to get them a remote that has more buttons than the TV remote which they were struggling to figure out how to use. The device works perfectly for this purpose and despite it being a used/renewed product. One note of caution - if you plug the device into your TV and you do not get the Direct Stream screen, the device is likely not reset to factory defaults. I struggled to manually add the device to my TV without success and only when I eventually did a factory reset (I recall a red button but you can find this info online) did I get the normal set up screens and prompts. After this setup was a breeze.

Remote control had that sticky disgusting feel you get from older plastics so I am returning the item. Waste of my time.

Product is working well. I'm quite satisfied with it. Easy to install.
