Works great. strong magnet in base. Self explanatory. Great price.

Indicator is great for the hobbyist or for non-mission critical work. It's checked out against reference blocks within .001" which is fine for what I need it for. I also like the swivel arm with one locking knob. However, the magnetic base isn't anywhere close to "90lbs" pull. Even more so when fully extended. It does work for what I needed. Just wish it had more magnetic power.

Love the little and short magnetic base. It also holds very well. I am using it more than my Noga crap. I am not o happy with the dial at this point, may need to exchange it.

This is a Excellent measuring device to index transmission bellhousing, its the perfect size to fit in the trans mounting hole to get the offset reading for center.

so I have a dial indicator and I needed a mag base an arm and this seemed like an opportunity to try out a digital indicator and get the mag base and arm I was after. Unfortunately the mag base from the arm is so weak I cannot recommend its use. The digital indicator has a really smooth action and it was highly repeatable in testing. The display is large enough and clear to easily read even from an obscure angle. The biggest issue with the mag base is that it is extremely weak. I almost think I have a faulty unit the magnet is so weak. I tried the switch in both the on and off position thinking ti may have been mis marked, but no its just extremely weak.

This is a great little tool for helping diagnose vehicular vibrations, i was experiencing vibration when braking lightly at high speeds and having recently installed 380mm 2 piece brake disks i wasn't convinced the brakes were the actual cause. I used this to check the run out of the discs which confirmed they were infact running true. Alot of brake disc manufacturers now state in their installation instructions that the run out must be checked on install fir warranty reasons. This tool is perfect for that. It feels well made and is accurate enough for its intended use. I've used it to help centre the tail stock on my lathe with great success too.

So far so good. I bought this to use with hobby metal lathe and it seems to be well made, solid and quite accurate. The unit came well.packaged and instructions are clear and concise. The arm/mount assembly is quite versatile and easy to set in any position, even one handed. If I was to order again I would get one with a greater intensity of magnetism. This is working fine but it does take too much to move the magnet base when the arm is extended.

Le comparateur arrive avec son pieds dans deux boites séparées. La base magnétique semble ne pas bouger, le bras semble manquer de rigidité. La tige coulisse bien, mais je trouve le ressort de rappel un peu trop fort. Testé avec différentes cales d'épaisseurs, il indique les bonnes valeurs sans trop de difficulté. A utiliser pour ce qu'il est, un comparateur d'entrée de gamme. Bref il fait le job, en corrélation avec son prix. Si vous voulez plus fiable, il faudra mettre le prix. Correction du 01/09/2026 : Je confirme tout ce qu'il y a au dessus. Mais le ressort de rappel est vraiment trop fort, j'avais acheté cet appareil pour tester des tubes en carbone, la tige du comparateur fait plier ces derniers. Je conseille cette référence pour tester des choses qui ont une rigidité certaine. Dans le cadre de mon usage ce comparateur ne convient pas. Je suis passé à un comparateur aux normes ISO.
