My children speak and read German at school (Switzerland). It's been a bit of a struggle to get them to read English. But with these books, my kids worked their way through the entire box quickly. The variety of stories combined with the length (not too intimidating) proved to be a super way to give them confidence in their reading with gradually more difficult books.

A nice medley of Usborne titles. Each book is about 3-6 very simple chapters. Great for a young reader!

Ormai abbiamo acquistato tutti i volumi di questa collana per nostro figlio. Consigliamo a tutti di comprarli in quanto la sera piuttosto che guardare cartoni, leggiamo una delle tante storie e decidiamo la difficoltà in base alla giornata. Consigliatissimi

This set of books, Usborne series has the stories, which are not suitable for small children.. There are stories of ghosts, monsters, wizard, pirates, witches, murders,etc,etc.. Surely if a small child reads these stories, his small mind and heart will be full of negative thoughts. I regret purchasing this set now. Completely wastage of money Is.4300.

My kids loved these books learning to read. Classic stories made accessible. Not silly stories about nothing meaningful. We loved this set very much for multiple learners in our house.

Very disappointed by the low standards of illustration: Very few full-page illustrations, and many of the selected illustrators have a scruffy, muddy style, while others are over-simplistic. Hardly food for fantasy.
