I adore this deck. Old Style Tarot by Alexander Ray is hands-down my favorite tarot deck, and I am not pretending to be neutral about it. The art is bold, quirky, and full of personality—like medieval woodcuts met modern sarcasm and decided to tell your future. Every card feels intentional, expressive, and slightly cheeky, which somehow makes readings clearer and more honest. This deck doesn’t sugarcoat, but it also doesn’t scream at you. It just knows. Now let’s talk card stock, because WOW. This is amazing card stock—thick, sturdy, and satisfying in a way that makes shuffling feel elite. These cards feel like they could survive being tossed into a backpack, spilled coffee nearby, or an emotionally intense reading session. Built. To. Last. It reads beautifully, works for everything from daily pulls to full spreads, and somehow manages to be both funny and deeply insightful. My other decks are great, but this one is the one I reach for without thinking. Five stars. Would rebuy in a heartbeat. If this deck ever goes out of print, I will riot (politely, but firmly).

Just a gorgeous tarot deck with amazing illustrations . The guidebook is the best one I came across so far. Another must have tarot deck. A good bargain for this masterpiece :-) It is a RWS themed tarot deck. I find this Old style tarot deck more pleasing and approachable than the original RWS deck. Both decks are great decks. Old style tarots just gives me more of an easy subtle artistic vibes. I just find it soothing reading this deck with nice quality card stock and cool card back patterns. I also like the extra blank card included for special meanings explained in the guidebook as well.. The sturdy storage box is fantastic :-) 5 stars here :-)

This is such a good deck, came in well packaged and safe. No dents on the box. The cards are amazing and feels like butter when shuffling. Thick card stock and amazing illustrations. Definitely recommend

These days I do my best to avoid tarot impulse buys - so glad I didn’t ignore this one! Having somewheres around 250 decks, it’s not difficult to figure out my preferred esthetic (vintage, renaissance, medieval, etc). Being that the larger majority of my decks are indie, I love finding a mass market with artwork I love just as much. Not only is each image lovely, but unique as well. Each card holds a lot of detail, yet the images remain clean, not becoming too busy. Card stock is decent. I’d say tops for a mass market - and for around $20?! Anyone drawn to styles of the past, shouldn’t hesitate on this one. It’s definitely one of my top 5 favorites, and reads like a dream.

I own about 10 or 15 tarot decks, but these really grabbed my attention and I feel very connected to them. There is a familiarity about them that I can't really explain. The artwork is beautiful. The card stock is high quality (great for riffle shuffling); quite stiff with a slight give. The shape is very unique; slightly wider than the average tarot deck. The whole antique aesthetic of them is my favorite thing. I really enjoy using them.

I absolutely adore this deck. I actually purchased a cheap little one from AliExpress and loved it so so so much I had to get the real version. That's how I check to see if I will want the more expensive decks and this one blew me away. The art work is beautiful, it's medieval inspired artwork. The card stock is good thick quality but easily shufflable. The guide book is nice and easy to understand. I don't use the books but I did read through some and it was pretty informative for beginners.

I just finished my first reading with this deck. Incredibly storytelling, beautiful and clear design, easy to handle, very good quality. I love it!

This deck is just so out of this world beautiful. He did the Old style lenormand and another and said with the Tarot deck he where he is a psychologist that he wanted to use pictures from books he has seen but make them his own. There are great medieval and biblical in my opinion but there is the blank card everyone thinks is the "querent" card and you use it as the person in reading. You can do it this way but.. in the book it's like the blank Odin rune in the furthark runes. It is blank but could be many reasons: it's too soon to say, or you aren't supposed to know just yet, the other cards said what you needed to know. But go to the blank card page and read it. Another plus to this great deck is that h Instead of just quick upright and reversal meanings, he also included advice from card, "the warning," after reversal meaning for advice to get out of reverse situation, and "quick answer." These help alot with beginners or just goes more in depth with card meaning. Notes pages in the back. Please give this a try you will not regret this. I am very picky with my tarot decks so if I say "yes" it means a lot.

Dies ist eines meiner Lieblingsdecks, ich habe es bereits mehrfach gekauft und verschenkt. Die Bilder sind eine Neuinterpretation des Rider-Waite-Smith-Decks, also für Leute, die sich bereits ein bißchen mit Tarot befasst haben, einfach in die Sammlung aufzunehmen und zu verwenden. Die künstlerische Gestaltung ist einfach fantastisch, besonders wenn man auf alte oder alt anmutende Karten Wert legt. Dabei sind die Minor Arkana mit der gleichen Sorgfalt bebildert wie die Major. Ich habe vom gleichen Künstler auch das "Old Style Lenormand" und im Februar 2026 kommt das "Old Stlye Oracle" heraus.

Sono molto belli, si vede che dietro c’è uno studio dell’autore Alexander Ray le immagini sono molto belle ma forse io avrei fatto le carte un po’ più grandi. Le parti sono di una dimensione giusta, però a me piacciono le carte grandi, soprattutto quando ci sono delle illustrazioni molto belle. Si potrebbe fare insomma, riprenderlo e rifarlo anche come nella copertina è tutta a colori vividi. Questo perché la copertina è bellissima anche le carte sono molto belle, però l’idea di un mazzo di carte colorato con una copertina e con carte più grandi sarebbe molto bello. Pensateci😊 inoltre sarebbe utile avere un tutorial con una spiegazione delle carte, visto che c’è davvero un grande lavoro dietro capire i simboli e ha aggiunto l’autore pur rimanendo fedele ai Raidet Wait.. complimenti all’autotre.
