Why the price gouging?

? I'm a little confused by your question but I will be happy to be transparent with you regarding my cost of product, and how much it costs to ship per pound, as well as Amazons referral fees. 
I purchase the Swan 32oz. Hydrogen peroxide for $1.29 so for the pack of 2 thats $2.28 total for cost on the product. Now these are liquid and are heavy. The regulations for sending this product must be defined as a liquid when purchasing the shipping. This makes the cost of shipping a bit more than if it were not a liquid because it must be shipped ground only. The shipping costs me $7.45min. Up to $9.45max. [Domestic only] For sending 2 units. I also have to include the cost of Amazon Fees which happens to be $1.58. I also take the precaution of avoiding damaging the product during shipping, so I put the bottles of hydrogen peroxide into Ziplock bags, this helps ensure that if the liquid did spill, it would be contained. Along with the Ziplock bags, I provide a cushion for the packaging with shreds of cardboard and packing peanuts. Even though this is the least of the cost involver it still is an additional cost. And finally the last cost associated with my price point is the time that I take to go pick up my supply, as well as fuel to get there on top of the labor that I put into packing, providing labels & shipping. I probably am short changing myself as I make an average of $0.73 per order. I hope that this can help you see this as not a price gouge. I don't know what is says on the bottle you are looking at but you need to replace hydrogen peroxide six months after opening it, but it will last for three years unopened. To test whether it is still effective, you can pour it in to the sink and see if it fizzes and bubbles. If it does, it's still good. Expired hydrogen peroxide is ineffective but not harmful.
