Works great for scooping up gravel. Flip over and sift it with the extended screen area. I look for sea glass with this. Sturdy.

OK! We used it on several outings this summer and now I can comment on the product! Solidly built and worked as hoped. We collected apx. 250 teeth in two days at an undisclosed location...... Tips: Some people have complained about the two part handle fitment. If you read the instructions...! They explain it is hand made/drilled and the pin fitment may only work one way. If it doesnt seem to fit, rotate the handle 180 degrees and the pin fits as expected. I'd add that the steel sleeve used (to insure strength) at the handle joint does corrode and rust. Clean it up before storage and put a little lube/protectant of choice on it before putting it away, and consider packing a little strip of crocus cloth/sandpaper with it for the next use. Well packaged for shipment, designed well, good balance when using and walking to the beach, beautiful finish against the salt. I added a piece of 5/8" rubber hose to the handle to make it more ergonomic to use. Wonderful product!! I use it in southern California to catch soft shell sand crabs for surf fishing bait.

I had such a wonderful time using this sifter! It makes looking for shark teeth so much easier and much more enjoyable. Make sure you follow the instructions! Separate the two ends and lubricate them, or the salt water will cause rust to form even after the first use.

Took it to Myrtle Beach. Worked really great. A lot easier than a plastic kid sifter. People were coming up and asking about what it was. Really fun for finding sharks teeth and shells. Great size that easily fit into beach cart. Will use for years to come.

We used at Venice Beach , Fl. Had a great time. With the sifter, we were able to go out into deeper water. Make sure to rinse as soon as you can with fresh water. Can be tough to get the holding pins in and out.

Very sturdy. The holes in the screen are way too big for shark teeth hunting unless you only want 2” long ones. Which we actually all want but can never find. Normal teeth found will slip right through the screen’s holes. Going to buy screening and glue it to it. Hopefully it will hold in the waves. .
