Solar Bug Zapper Outdoor, 4500V Electric Fly Insect Trap Waterproof

Goodness gracious, these things are great! Most of my family are like mosquito magnets, and we also had these little gnats that were tiny enough to make their way through our screens and driving us crazy in the house. We had tried several products that did very little and then we found these. We got several of these and put them a little ways out around our house and within two nights of using it, we no longer have an issue with gnats in the house at night and my family has been getting hardly any mosquito bites. The first few days of using it, we had to clean it out every day because it literally was covered with dead bugs that you could barely see through the grates. But it is super easy to clean with a leaf blower. The solar panel seems to have enough charge up during the day to last through the night, and even with charging it inside, which we did the first day of using it. Some we installed in the ground on stakes and others we attached to the fencing, so it's flexible for wherever you need to install them. They're also pretty light weight and feel durable, so we feel confident these little zappers will last us quite a while. Even though they're a bit more expensive than we wanted to pay for them, it honestly ended up being worth the cost for us because of how well they work.

I love this thing. We got it to control mosquitoes and flys on our patio as an alternative to mosquito control services. We got two, one on each side, and this has been a largely mosquito free summer. They sit in the yard, the solar panels recharge each day and they go all night I’m sure at some point the batteries will stop charging like solar lights but for the moment and the price you can’t beat it

I ordered the first one 2 weeks before this one that I had to order the second one. That's how great these are. Seriously they catch all the bugs. Mosquitoes, roaches, moths whatever else is going around or crawling up there and it is loud. Sounds like the 4th of July sometimes. We can actually set out back at nights and enjoy our back patio and relax. They don't look bad at night. They actually add a nice blue light to the evening night. Very easy to install and put together. They do also come with a chain to hang if you want to hang them, but we prefer them on the ground in our yard with the steaks. Very easy to move around when we need to cut our grass and put right back. Height of them is great. If you have pets which we do and they do not even bother messing with them.

It seems to be working well. I can't say it keeps 100% of the Mosquitoes away but I believe we are having less around. I just stuck it in the ground and aimed the panel towards the sun and let it do its thing. It recharges and runs on auto. The only thing I had to add were a couple of washers as the pressure on the panel is not enough to prevent it from beeing moved out of position. You know it's doing it's job when you hear the zapp but otherwise it is not loud. As far as durability is concerned, we wait and see.

Zaps the bugs but very hard to clean. There is not a way to brush the bugs off the grill. Even my blower does not work. The solar charges well and stays on most of the night. Beware: I had in a deck flower bed which attracted June Bugs that loved to burrow in the soil. Then along came birds that wanted the bugs and my veggies.

I really wanted to love this bug zapper. After watching all those TikTok videos, I was fully expecting a nightly fireworks show mosquitoes, gnats, and flies lining up like they were buying concert tickets. Reality? I turned it on, heard maybe two or three very satisfying "POP!" sounds, and then... silence. The pops were glorious, don't get me wrong. I even looked over like, "Oooh, got another one!" But after that, it was deader than the bugs it was supposed to be catching. I live out in the country where mosquitoes and flies seem to have military-level reinforcements, so I thought this thing would be working overtime. Instead, the bugs acted like they had signed a non-aggression treaty with it. Maybe I got a defective unit, because plenty of people seem to have good luck with theirs. Unfortunately, mine never lived up to the TikTok hype, so I ended up returning it. If you're buying this expecting a bug-zapping rave every night, you may want to keep your expectations... grounded.

This solar bug zapper is really convenient for outdoor use. I like that I don't have to worry about plugging it in or running an extension cord. The solar panel charges during the day and the light comes on automatically at night. The 4500V zapper does a good job of attracting and taking care of flying bugs around the patio. It's also nice that it's waterproof, so I can leave it outside without worrying about it.
