Mine arrived slightly bent and it worked ok for a while until it didn't. Be careful pushing it straight into the ground because it may bend and collapse under too much pressure or into dry soil. Mine bent in half in wet soil maybe because it arrived slightly bent. But, I bought another one and it arrived ok.

This moisture meter is so easy to use and read. I use this for my plants in pots and outdoors in the ground. It’s longer, makes it easy to use and you do not have to bend over too much or get lower to the ground to read it. Just always wipe the tip when done and keep it clean. I rely on the readings. Be careful not to put too much pressure on the top when inserting into the ground. Good value for the money, no battery required. Meter is easy to read!
