Nicest Controller I've ever owned
I have a lot of controllers... and I'm on a mission of reviewing every controller I own. I've been gaming since a child and remember the days when you'd hand your friend the third party controller because it was inferior and gave you an advantage... boy have times flipped now. I have a LOT of controllers. I've been searching for something "perfect" for a while after having issues with certain aspects of other controllers. The discomfort of Joycons led me to the Switch Pro controller... but the horrible overly sensitive dpad on that controller eventually led me to discovering 8BitDo. I was hesitant to try a third party option at that time, but I rolled the dice and have been pleasantly surprised with their offerings over the years. For a time, the closest thing to a "perfect" controller for me ended up being the Xbox Elite Series 2. The major downfalls of that controller though were needing to buy a third party program (ReWASD) just to add extended functionality to the back paddles, and the general durability of the controller as eventually my right shoulder button gave out. It also lacks modern features such as hall effect sticks. In the interim I went back to 8BitDo and the Ultimate controller, but it's rear buttons were fairly limited in what you could remap them to do as well. I ended up jumping into the rabbit hole of controllers when I was looking for better joycon options and heard about this Flydigi Apex 4 as being one of the best PC controllers. I was impressed with what I saw and thought the adaptive triggers were a cool feature, so I decided to try it out. Overall, I'm very glad I did. Features: Microswitch ABXY Face Buttons Microswitch dpad with a Dish shaped dpad (raised cardinal directions) Tactile shoulder buttons, but not microswitch Flydigi special design Hall effect sticks The controller is weighty... honestly feels a lot more substantial than anything I've used for a while. Special Features: The standout features that attracted me to this controller were.... - Adjustable tension hall effect sticks - Adaptive triggers - Customizable Back Buttons - A built in LCD - Microswitch face buttons and dpad Ahh, it's nice to be able to have different levels of tension for the left and right stick again! This is something I really missed from the Elite 2 and I'm happy to have that feature again in a main controller. The adaptive triggers are extremely cool! The motorized stops take a little getting used to, but they definitely work, and I enjoy the sniper mode a lot... it gives a little more immersion into games where you're shooting with the right trigger. It's also great to have a controller where macros can be recorded exactly to the rear buttons with no need to pay for third party software, and no need to build the macro from selections! The built in LCD is great as it allows you to change some settings without using the app, and having an animated GIF also gives a personal touch, something I always like to have. I'll get to the microswitch buttons in another section, but I'm happy to have a suite of extra features that do not disappoint me! QC / Durability Concerns: One thing to note... there is an acknowledged issue from Flydigi that there was a manufacturing defect that may have affected some controllers manufactured in April/May that would cause the joysticks to break. If you have a joystick issue and your controller is outside of the return window, make sure to contact them. Unfortunately, my copy does have a date range that falls within the possible defect. I have been using it just about every day since getting it though and so far I have had zero issues. Functionality: This is my first controller with microswitch buttons and I'm already a convert. While I can understand the sound of them getting annoying, the responsiveness and the confidence they bring is a game changer for me. The sticks feel very smooth and the tension adjustment lets you get the feeling perfect for your individual preference. The resolution of the joystick is great, allowing an exact time selection in Genshin Impact down to the minute. The dpad is also my first microswitch one. Though it's similar to the Xbox Elite dpad which is very tactile, it's a bit lighter to the touch and will take some getting used to for me. That being said.... A staple of my controller reviews... the Tetris dpad test. I play games on Tetris at as fast of a pace as I can (I'm roughly a 1 minute sprinter in modern Tetris games) and see how many false hard drops I get. Zero. Zero is the number of unintended hard drops I got. A perfect score, with the only problem being I prefer the PlayStation style layout when playing dpad heavy games... but I might have to cheat on my 8BitDo Pro 2 with this controller because this level of confidence playing Tetris may take my sprint times down. In Conclusion: Overall, I'm extremely pleased with this controller. It's amazing to see how third party makers are now offering things that blow away first party options. You can even get a good chunk of what this controller offers in the Vader 4 Pro ,also made by Flydigi, with a lower price tag... it's pretty amazing! I hope this controller will last for many years for me, much like the Elite 2 did. Edit 9/17/2024 - Made format more like my other controller reviews.

I love this controller (first one failed, replacement one works well)
Update December 2024 - 6 months and controller works great, just bought a Vader pro 4 to try out and figured I would give an update on this one. By far this is better than the scuff reflex fps I had and the price is way better, but that’s just my opinion, even as frustrating as black ops 6 can be, this flydigi controller has handled the abuse with flying colors Update June 2024 - The replacement controller arrived within the week and I have been using it for several weeks.(Exchange process was simple as any other Amazon sold item, get the new one, stick the old one in the box and for me I take it to the Amazon Fresh store and drop it off) Everything has worked great, I do love this controller, the placement of the back buttons feel good for my fingers verse the scuff reflex fps. I don't accidentally trigger the other buttons like i did regularly on the scuff during frantic MW3 multiplayer moments. I did run the battery down to the point it shut off and had to press the bottom right (up arrow looking icon) to make it turn back on after charging. flipping the back switch on and off didn't work. The trigger lock feature works great, but does take a bit of mental adjustment as you can push through the trigger lock, but after a week or two your brain adjusts and it feeels natural. personally i don't care for analog triggers as the games i play don't need it, but if there are games that use it seems this controller give the best of both worlds. If this original controller truly was a fluke defect, then this controll will stay at 5 stars for me, plus the cost of this is way better than the original scuff reflex fps I bought L3 push button broke after 2 days of MW3 (Original Headline) Original Post: Everthing was great as I really liked the controller and was getting used to it as I was transitioning from a Scuff Reflex FPS. However on the 2nd day of use playing MW3, the L3 button quit working, I use the a button press to start tactical sprint when all of a sudden it quit working in game. I went to the spacestation app to test it and it didn't work. Basically when I pressed it, I don't feel the snap anymore, just mushy feel. Also I can shake the controller and something is moving around inside, most likely something that broke off internally on the L3 button. either way I am exchanging to give it another chance, fingers crossed it was just a quality issue with the piece and not a critical design issue. I will update once I get the new one and get a month out of it, I really did like setting my dead zone input on the joysticks to 0, which worked perfectly out of the box. Also Space Station remap of the buttons worked fantastic, very simple to remap all buttons to what you want. I was gettting ready to play with the stick response curves for the aim stick on MW3 when the L3 occurred, so hope to play with that and see if I can get fine tuned aiming at the lower input zones dialed in, we'll see......... This will be a 5 star controller for me based on price and what I see so far of my use, if it can demonstrate some longevity that is. My scuff is a year old and has minimal stick drift, I will still use it for my PS5 and use the Flydigi for my PC

Great Controller (Updated review)
Update 08/25/24: After leaving an initial poor review based on my previous experience purchasing two of these controllers, I have decided to increased my 1 star rating to 5 stars. Flydigi customer support contacted me directly here on Amazon and sent me a brand new controller at no cost; even after I returned my other ones via Amazon and got my money back. Also, not once did they request me to change my review either, I am doing this on my own accord. Their customer service went way above and beyond what I expected. I decided to put the new controller through the normal paces as I would any other controller I own. This new one is free from any of the previous issues I experienced (left joy stick breaking and the trigger stops not working) and performs flawlessly so far. Seriously, not a single problem so far with this controller. I did increase the tension of both joy sticks a little bit as soon as I received it, so I am not sure if that has had anything to do it it (I have heard reports that they break easier when they are loose but ymmv). After receiving it and using it for about a month, I finally had to charge the batteries yesterday which was pretty impressive. In terms of comfort, it really is one of the most comfortable controllers on the market in terms of feel and weight. The only thing I still wish it had was back paddles like the Elite Series 2 controllers; but after a while, you get used to the finger placement (I like to use 4 fingers on the back). In my opinion, this controller with an Elite Series 2 back paddle design would be the absolute best on the market bar none. Once again, their customer service really came through and I can honestly say I would recommend this controller and you can buy with confidence should anything go wrong, they will help you. I have gone through 2 of these controllers within the past week. First one had a right trigger that would not work properly even when using the Flydigi Space Station app on pc (right trigger lock would work but wouldnt register when using it). Sent it back and got a replacement where the left joystick is now broken with major stick drift. So much for hall effect sticks huh? I am gentle with my controllers so that they may last. I am shocked that my Xbox Elite Series 2 from 2 years ago is still going strong without any problems or quality control issues like they are known for having...This controller looked cool and felt comfortable in hand, but is plagued with quality control issues. Maybe I just have bad luck, but if it were me, I would avoid buying this and get something else...

CHEAPEST JOYSTICK EVER!!!!!!
Honest review here: The controller feels great in my hands, and I appreciate the adjustable joystick tensions. However, I dislike the four small square paddles on the back because they’re spaced too far apart. The buttons are incredibly satisfying, especially the mouse click buttons. Setting up and pairing the controller is straightforward and easy. The trigger do have trigger stop adjustments that can be customized within the controller settings, but they don’t seem to be very effective. I’ve set them to a sensitive level, but the trigger still allows me to press it all the way down into the controller. I understand that some controllers have trigger stop limits, but this one doesn’t. The controller’s connection ability is amazing; I haven’t encountered any issues when pairing via Bluetooth or the USB dongle. The connection is super fast, and I haven’t had a single disconnection issue. Unfortunately, the right joystick broke down just a week after I bought it for $150. Considering the price, I expected a flawless product. Regrettably, the joysticks are held by a plastic clip with a small spring, a recurring issue mentioned in reviews and still present as of March 15, 2025. Despite this, Flydigi hasn’t made any improvements to the joystick quality. If the spring snaps, the joystick will remain stuck in the direction it broke off, causing significant stick drift. I strongly advise against purchasing Flydigi products. They’re cheap, but they’re overpriced. Save your money and buy another controller.

Best Universal Controller I've Owned
I switch controllers constantly playing modern and emulated games on every platform. Always looking for the perfect tool for the job, depending on the game. With that in mind this controller has just about every feature or thing Ive liked on any controller Ive used (including the scuf's and high priced controllers). Usually these luxury controllers have one thing or the other but not everything in a single controller. Thats what really impressed me. 9 months into the controller with well over 500 hours and its still holding up. The Dpad is a little looser than it was 9 months ago, but I think I may have caused that by taking the dpad off and snapping it back in, though it may just be wear and tear. Most players wont be using the dpad as much as I do, since I play EVERY type of game. To summarise : With this controller you get rubber grips (a little stickier and grippier then the harder rubber on the Elite), mechanical d pad and buttons (super precise micro switch clicks, with super low tension to actuate the dpad and the buttons), turbo and macro functionality (this is not on most controllers and is extremely useful if you play everything), hall sticks (very accurate, less drift prone, almost NO deadzone). Only read downsides for me is that you cant map turbo or macros on the fly like the King Kong controllers, you need to go into an app. You can make 4 profiles though and switch between them on the fly, with the onscreen LCD. You have to go into the APP to make any changes to configurations within the profiles however. Not a huge deal, but not as quick to switch between different set ups on the fly. The dpad is also SLIGHTLY wider then Id like. I would prefer a sega genesis width Dpad, or something similiar, but with those super precise clicks the dpad has. Still one of the best dpads Ive used but sometimes I move a little wide in certain games, having to press the outer edges which are farther out. Lastly, no trigger stops. This was a big one for me but you can set the sensitivity so that they fire at the slightest movement. I like hitting those trigger stops, the feedback works better for me, as I still tend to pull the trigger to full, by habit. There is motor pushback on the triggers but its way too weak to stop me from pushing all the way through, so I dont use that feature. One of the biggest benefits of this controller : With this controller I can actually map any keyboard commands to any button on the controller. I no longer need to use Xpadder or an app to map keyboards to game pads. I can make a profile with the settings I want, name it after the game Im playing and switch to it any time for that game. This really opens up all older PC games and Flash games that dont have controller support. Only downside is no turbo functionality when mapping keyboard keys to gamepad. The controller also has gyro support, rumble and other features I dont use like being able to adjust the stick tension with a tool. Tons of adjustability to the slightest amount it seems. Just never tried it. The stick tension already feels great to me. The button presses are so effortless with almost no tension required. I wouldve also had the top part of the controller with that silky rubber feel like alot of controllers do, but these are minor nit picks. Its still way beyond any modern controllers Ive used, to the point that I use it over my 8bitdo M30 for some 2D games too. Though I still give the M30 the edge for most 2D games, its crazy how versatile this controller is. My Elite controllers usually broke within 6-12 months, sometimes 3.

Excellent for competitive COD Multi and Warzone...
Right out of the box it feels premium, I'm changing my 2 years old elite series 2 for this because stick drift, was looking for reliable hall effect joystick for FPS games (mainly COD). Pros: - A lot of customizations options on the PC App, especially for the adaptive triggers and the leds. - No Overclock needed, Pooling rate over 1000hz and Response time under 1ms both Wired and Wireless. - Hall Effect sticks are here to stay, Dead zone 0 with Zero stick drift is awesome, played for 4 hours and it feels amazing. -You can customize and even do the mapping of the back buttons on the LCD screen included on the controller. - Stick tension can be adjusted with a litte magnetic tool included on under the faceplate, just like the elite series 2 from Microsoft. -Mouse click buttons, feels very responsive. Cons: - No physical option to reduce the trigger damping, its software based using the adaptive trigger force to control the damping but if you press hard enough you can bypass this config and get a full press on the trigger, it works but in the heat of the battle it can by a bit distractive. - No high-rise stick included out of the box, or any replaceable stick included, just what you see is what you get, other controllers in the same price point comes with a lot more spare and different types of grips for the sticks. (FYI... Control Freaks for PS5 fit this controller). - Back Buttons location is OK, but the upper ones are a little harder to push. - PC app even when you change the language to English have some messages only in Chinese. And that's all, i will be using this controller for like 2 to 4 hours of COD a day, will keep you updated. Enjoy your time been sniped by the Kar98k on Rebirth with an excellent controller!!!

On paper looks good but not for me
So wanted to like this controller but the triggers, and I'm sure some ppl like them, but not for me. The squishy feeling was weird and maybe I could get used to it but I also experienced blank shots in games like Halo infinite with most weapons (AR or commando not an issue) or games like COD, xdefiant with DMRs or sniper rifles (everything else is fine). This triggers are great for SMG, AR and machine guns or any rapid fire weapon but for burst or single shot tactical weapons not so good. Maybe I have a heavy finger. There is setting in the software to add a trigger stop but the same issues occur. Sticks are good and well made although I don't like the thumb caps (I prefer dome or something like what 8bitdo uses) and polling rates and input latency (which are 2 different things) are not bad when taken together. Could be better. Just looking at Polling rate , not considering input latency, it's very good. Input latency isn't that great, but it can sometimes be affected by the CPU you have as it has to process the signals as well (at least it used to be an issue years ago) , I don't have the best CPU and can't comment on if someone else has tried with a better CPU and looked at latency. Maybe someone on YT, discord or Reddit has. But it's not an issue for competitive gameplay unless maybe you're up against Mnk. Controller does feel heavy to me but it's wireless, has more internals for all it's features and I'm used to wired controllers or wireless controllers with smaller batteries and less internal hardware than what comes with this controller. I prefer Victrix Gambit or bigbigwon Gales type controllers or even 8bitdo or Xbox's to some degree (def not build quality, sure you know what I mean. Tldr, doesn't work for me but might for someone else used to this type of controller.

Great controller with some quality issues, but an amazing support team.
I bought this controller last July. I've owned quite a few controllers in my gaming life, but this one is in the top three controllers I've owned. The customization on this controller is great, and the ability to upload animated gif's to the screen allows you to have a cool personalization experience. Adjustable tensions on the sticks as well as snappy buttons. This controller has it all. I had a recent issue within the last week where the left stick broke and I was no longer able to use it. I don't find the quality of this product in question as I've had issues with other vendor controllers and left sticks. The weight, size and feel of this controller feels very solid. With that said, Apex lives up to their 1 year warranty. I sent my receipt and an image of the broken device and a brand new one was on my doorstep after a couple emails in 2 days. 100% happy with the controller as well as the company who stands behind the product warranties and their customers. It's few and far between when a company stands behind their word and puts customers first.

The Best Controller I’ve Ever Owned
This controller is extremely comfortable, easy to tweak, and the screen is not just a gimmick, if you regularly switch modes and devices it’s very helpful compared to memorizing or looking up weird keybindings for other controllers. It feels very premium, it’s very easy to clean because the front faceplate is removable, and the configuration is out of this world. You can get PS5-like adaptive triggers in any game you want however you want. My one gripe is that the back paddles are harder to press than other controllers that have those metallic ones, but I learned to adapt to them. Some of the controllers I’ve owned before that I think this is much better than: - Xbox Series Elite (1 and 2, both got RB LB ghost presses) - PS5 Edge - 8bitdo Ultimate - Gulikit KK3 Max - Razer Wolverine (original)

BEST CONTROLLER MONEY COULD BUY.
If you're looking for a top-tier controller, the Apex 4 is hands down the best money can buy. From its sleek design to its flawless performance, this controller is everything I could have asked for and more. The responsiveness is immediate, and the precision is unmatched. Whether I'm playing fast-paced games or enjoying longer sessions, the comfort and ergonomics are outstanding. The customizable options are a huge plus, and the build quality is solid—definitely built to last. I've tried other controllers before, but none compare to the Apex 4 in terms of durability, performance, and overall experience. If you're serious about gaming, I can't recommend this controller enough. Worth every penny! (HAVE TWO OF THEM).

Sensacional
Altamente configurável. Muito melhor que os controles oficiais do Xbox e PlayStation. Mas não pode ser usado nos consoles.
