Glass Lemon Juicer

Exactly how I remember these from when I was a kid. Well made and great proportions. The juicer is not to blunt, as to not fir small lemons. Also, the pip catcher is very well designed, not a single pip has escaped into the juice in months of use.

A design that has been in production for more than 50 years must be good. This was for my mother, as hers mysteriously disappeared in a house move, but looks exactly the same as the one she bought in the 1960s, and she is very happy with it. I dispensed with mine like this a couple of years back in favour of another glass one which has a deeper trough for juice, as you can only fit in juice from half a citrus fruit in this before having to pour out, which is a little messy to do (dribbly pouring spout). However, my deeper one does not have the circle of studs which this one has to catch the pips and pulp, which is very handy.

Good stuff but it is easy to spill the juice as it's not much on the side.

This is a well made, traditional citrus squeezer. The glass is thick and solid. This has a shaped channel to collect and then pour juice, as well as a sort of crenellated inner channel that's designed to catch pips and prevent them from entering the poured juice. The pip catcher is effective at trapping full and medium-sized pips, though underdeveloped or cut-through bits can escape. A good, straightforward, dishwashable kitchen classic.

I bought this to replace a previous glass juicer and assumed that it would be the same size. Unfortunately although this does the job for lemons, the domed part is too small to properly juice oranges or grapefruit. It really is just a lemon juicer so if you're wanting to juice other fruits, buy a different one.

Exactly what I wanted and it is absolutely everything I could have expected. It is what my mother used and it is the ultimate juicer. Will last forever. The modern designs don’t come close
