This orange cow hide welding apron is an absolute beast and easily earns a perfect 5/5. As soon as I pulled it out, I knew it meant business — thick, heavy, premium cow hide that feels like I’m wearing part of an actual cow that lost a fight with fashion. And the smell? Glorious. Real leather heaven. None of that weird chemical nonsense — just pure, rich, “I work with fire for fun” aroma that makes you want to stand a little taller. The bright orange colour is fantastic. I look like a high-visibility cowboy who’s ready to wrangle sparks instead of cattle. Sparks bounce right off, molten metal gets stopped dead in its tracks, and I’ve never felt more protected while cutting and welding. It’s genuinely heavy-duty without being restrictive, and the quality is obvious from the thick stitching and solid construction. For the price, this apron is stupidly good value. It laughs at flying debris and heat that would turn lesser aprons into sad, crispy snacks. My old one is now officially retired and probably crying in the corner. If you weld or cut metal, stop messing around with flimsy gear and treat yourself to this orange legend. My torso has never felt safer or more stylish.

Seems like excellent quality, thick leather with a lining on the inside, and nicely made. For the price, it seems like very good value. I use it to give some basic protection when using cutting tools. The pockets mean that at some places, there is three layers of leather, and other places have two layers, giving additional protection.

I am so delighted with this apron, the quality is amazing. It's the best workshop apron I have ever had. I make Double Bass bows and restore string instruments, there is carpentry, soldering and fusing involved in these processes,this apron is perfect for the job. I am 6ft 5 and this apron fits me well. I thought the cross over straps may be fiddly but they are not, very easy to put on and easily adjustable. One very delighted customer

I was after a good quality apron for woodworking and lapidary that is comfortable to wear while providing a high level of protection. This did not disappoint. Soft leather and extra stitching for stress points, loads of pockets for tools and phone and a couple of rings for hanging stuff, gave me everything I need. The only gripe I do have is with the plastic guide for the straps, hence the 4 star rating. It is quite flimsy and not at all in keeping with the rest of the apron. I can see that it would be a point of failure in time. The leather does have a strong smell when it is first opened and I would strongly recommend that the apron is aired for a few days before use. Apart from all that, this is a fantastic apron at an amazing price.

I am a maker, welder, fabricator, handyman. I do it all and I do it while wearing this apron. This strong apron provides a lot of protection, lots of pockets very useful, 42" length and adjustable strap for everyone is great. The perfect welding apron! Recommend!!

This is a great apron for welding and hot blowtorch work. I have had it for some months now and have had no burn throughs. It's worth noting that the strap design is very good but once you have it set up as you want, it is worth sticking a bit of gaffa tape over the plastic strap joiner at the back so that the straps don't move through, as they will every time you take it off and on. If you stop the straps moving through you will then be comfortable to wear it all day as it doesn't dig into the back of your neck.

this was bought as a present. the recipient uses a forge and works with metal. this apron has been given his full approval.

Only used a few times but pockets are nice. Purchased for protecting clothes from burn holes while welding. I also use a jacket to cover sleeves but I where the apron in the wood shop and the metal shop.
