SENTIMENTS REVAMPED
Sound quality, clip-ping, design.... everything's great, BUTTTT THERE IS NO SOUND!!! VERY LOW VOLUME...... HARDLY ABLE TO HEAR ANYTHING IN CROWDS, MARATHONS.... plus, few great features of qc ultra lacking!!! 1. No sliding Sound control 2. No auto music stop feature, on removing from ear SERIOUSLY DISAPPOINTED, WHAT'S THE POINT OF SPENDING SO MUCH😞😞 BOSE MUST AMPLIFY THE SOUND BY SOME SOFTWARE UPDATE, and is possible add feature 2 also.

Stay Away!!! There is no support
I purchased “BOSE Ultra Open Earbuds” on July 18th. It worked fine, especially for music part. When it comes to phone, the sound quality is below average, especially for the person on the other side of the phone, as they had trouble hearing clearly. The worst thing was that on the third day, the left earpiece stopped working (only for phone calls). It kept on making beep sounds while the right piece worked fine. After much trouble, from the BOSE support website, I learned that rebooting the earbuds will fix the issue. I tried it and it sure did fix the problem. However, the same issue happened again after a few hours and it’s continuing ever since. On the 7th day, on July 25th, I contacted Amazon and they said they can’t accept a return or replace and it has to be done by BOSE only!!! When I called BOSE, they said they won’t refund/replace and wanted me to take it to the nearest service center, which is either in Bangalore or Chennai!!! I don’t want to deal with service/repair for a brand new “Premium” product. Update: Amazon Support was extremly helpful and resolved the issue. Summary: Stay away from this product if you plan to use it with phone. Now that I went thru the other reviews here, most people have the same opinion. Bose Support is really BAD. Not at all helpful.

Ideal for joggers, runners, cyclist and commuters
This open-ear headset is frequently criticized for low volume, excessive ambient noise, and inferior sound quality. However, these criticisms miss the point of the open-ear design, which is specifically intended to keep the user aware of their surroundings. These are primarily aimed at joggers, runners, cyclists, commuters, and those doing outdoor activities. If you want loud music and punchy bass, you should opt for standard in-ear earbuds or over-the-ear headphones. Despite this, I found the sound quality to be great and punchy, exceeding my expectations for an open-ear design. As a cyclist who also uses Shokz OpenRun Pro bone conduction headphones, I can confidently say the sound quality on the Bose is far superior. Furthermore, I disagree with negative reviews regarding volume; I found them loud enough at just 50% volume. Pros: Premium build quality Excellent sound quality for an open ear design (don't compare with standard in ear designs) Innovative, minimalist design (This design could set industry standards) Exceptional comfort for long-term wear Secure fit—perfect for running, cycling, or gym Seamless app integration and customization Cons: Battery life: The 7.5 hours could be better for the price. Call quality: Not ideal for frequent calls. Price: Quite expensive.

Earphones I can wear whole day
The battery endurance is good compared to my other earbuds. Sound quality is amazing in quite places. Although not good at all to wear while you walk in busy traffic commute. The button operating takes little effort and time to get hold,i.e. not easy if you are running or moving.

Bose the best open ear buds
One of the best things that has happened to me. I have small ears, and this open-ear design suits my requirement perfectly. I can wear the Bose Ultra Open Earbuds all day without any discomfort or ear pain. The sound quality is excellent—clear voice during calls, crisp audio for videos, and rich sound for music. Comfort and performance come together beautifully. A truly must-have product.

Disappointing, cheating
Please no one buy this product. Very poor mic quality, music is clear but volume is very low. Don't get stuck buying it It takes at least an hour to call customer care. The product was bought yesterday. The service has been booked. I don't know if it will be picked up. It is a very sad response

Interesting concept but lots of improvement needed
I bought it at a crazy deal where it was almost half the price it is generally selling for, and hence I can live with it. A very unique listening experience where the buds get clipped on and you can hear the sound while also hearing ambient sound. If you are in a really noisy environment, then even on highest volume setting you will not be able to hear properly. But otherwise battery lasts long, the clip on for me is so comfortable I can wear them as earrings all day. Now for the big fail: sucks for taking phone calls. The mic or distance from mouth - the recipient on the other end just can’t hear you. So be mindful if you are buying one for talking, don’t. It is my first Bose purchase, and definitely disrupts technology but I guess they have some improvements to do.

For the Audacious Only: The Bose NEW Ultra Open Earbuds—A Symphony of 'Huh?' and 'I Can’t Hear You!
All right, let’s be real. If you’re thinking about snagging the Bose NEW Ultra Open Earbuds with OpenAudio Technology, brace yourself. These aren’t your everyday earbuds; they’re a whole new level of "you-do-you." First off, these earbuds are perfect for anyone with vocal cords of steel. If you enjoy repeatedly shouting at your phone during calls and hearing “I can’t hear you!”, welcome to the club! It’s like playing a high-stakes game of telephone, but you’re always on the losing end. Now, if you don’t mind everyone around you knowing exactly what you’re listening to, these are your dream earbuds. They’re designed to let your audio spill out like a leaky faucet. So, if you want to share your deep, personal podcast with your whole coffee shop, these are the way to go! The volume? Oh, it’s charmingly underwhelming. If you’re used to ear-splitting beats, get ready for a gentle whisper. These earbuds are like the quiet kid in the corner of the room who’s trying hard not to disturb anyone. But here’s the silver lining: because these earbuds don’t go inside your ear, you can still hear everything around you. It’s perfect for those moments when you want to stay aware of your surroundings, like when you’re trying to dodge rogue shopping carts in the supermarket. In short, if you’re a free spirit who enjoys sharing your audio with the world, has the vocal stamina of a lion, and prefers a whisper over a roar, these earbuds are made for you. Otherwise, maybe keep searching.

Not as bad as I had feared.. pretty good for what it is
My only concern about these Open Earbuds was how bad is the No-bass earbuds, like is it like the Shokz where there is absolutely NONE or is it just a like a bunch of pencil taps. I think I would compare it to the Quest where the sound is all around you with the bass definitely there but subdued like listening to an open air concert and you are standing in the car park. The bass is implied with some sub bass effect. Also the placement of the earbuds are really important where the bottoms of your ears where your earlobes are, is the best position for the most bass.... if only I could curl the earbuds inwards where the sound would feed directly into my ear canal but the best I could do is feed the sound upwards into my amphitheatre of my ears and you can tell by tilting the earbuds slightly into your ears on how much more bass you get. The bass is there somewhere and I can almost say I'm good but it could have been better. Here is the thing, the whole reason that I bought these very expensive earbuds is not for the lossless music played by Tidal but rather to wear to go shopping (listen to the music in the background), or even watch movies on my phone and at the same time be aware of everything around me. I need that awareness as I feel claustrophobic when I cannot hear my surroundings; like listening to music when I am waiting for a package to be deliver. I love the openness and the next time I go shopping for groceries I will be wearing these earbuds. The whole problem though.... is the price.... I absolutely don't think they are worth the price which is the same price of the best noise cancelling headphones on the market. I think the price of these earbuds should be much much cheaper and with that said.... for the price the earbuds are rated 1 star but if you are looking for open earbuds, these are it.... and not the shokz.

I need a pair now 👍🏼😀
I purchased these wonderful open earbuds for my daughter 5 weeks ago as a gift and I'll paste in below what she has to say about them. Bose Ultra Open Earbuds: A Game-Changer for Comfort and Awareness As someone who loves to immerse themselves in music but struggles with ear sensitivity due to Pulsatile Tinnitus, finding comfortable earbuds has been a frustrating journey. That's why the Bose Ultra Open Earbuds have been a revelation. Finally, I can enjoy incredible audio without the discomfort of traditional in-ear designs. These earbuds have seamlessly integrated into my daily routine. Whether I'm unwinding at home with a book, tackling emails, or even whipping up a cake in the kitchen, they provide a delightful audio experience without isolating me from my surroundings. This open design is a major win, allowing me to stay connected to what's happening around me – a crucial feature that doesn't compromise on sound quality. Speaking of sound, the audio from these earbuds is simply mind-blowing. Bose has truly delivered an immersive and rich soundscape that rivals my over-ear headphones. It's hard to believe such incredible audio can come from earbuds that don't even enter your ear canal. In my opinion, this conductive technology feels like the future of audio. Comfort is paramount, and the Ultra Open Earbuds excel here. I can wear them for hours on end without any irritation or discomfort. They feel secure and stay put throughout the day, even during walks. While I can't comment on their suitability for running or jogging, they've been perfect for my everyday activities. I also appreciate the fantastic battery life. For my typical usage – listening in chunks throughout the day – they last incredibly well. The inclusion of Auto Volume, which intelligently adjusts the audio to my environment, is another standout feature that enhances the overall experience. The build quality of the earbuds themselves feels premium and robust, exactly what you'd expect from a Bose product. However, if I had one minor critique, it would be the strength of the magnet on the charging case. While it's not weak enough to cause the earbuds to fall out, a stronger closure would provide a more reassuring feel. While the price point might be a barrier for some, the exceptional audio quality, unparalleled comfort for sensitive ears, and the crucial ability to remain aware of your surroundings make the Bose Ultra Open Earbuds a worthwhile investment for the right person. Who would benefit most from these earbuds? Anyone who loves high-quality audio but struggles with the discomfort of traditional earbuds, or those who need to remain aware of their environment while enjoying their favorite sounds. If you have sensitive ears or simply value situational awareness, I wholeheartedly recommend giving the Bose Ultra Open Earbuds a try – they've been a game-changer for me.

Comfortable
I found them quite comfortable to wear and allowed my ears to not get so humid like normal earbuds. Once I got the position right, the sound quality was really good and I could still hear my surroundings well. At times it felt like it could fall off but never did although I'm not sure I would trust wearing them in situations where if they did fall off it would be very bad. I did experience a very slight delay when using them with videos and games on my mobile, but I think that's normal for all Bluetooth earbuds. I was very pleased with the colour/finish of the anniversary edition set. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase.
