Better than MSG
This is a staple in our cabinet. Unfortunately it doesn’t stay there long enough so I’m constantly ordering it. Great with scrambled eggs. Great on homemade pizza. Great for dips. Also sticking some in a ceviche is amazing.

Requested it for Christmas, so clearly a favorite
I bought this canned crab meat as a Christmas gift for my father-in-law because he specifically asked for it. It may be one of the more unusual gifts I have purchased, but I took the request as a pretty strong sign that he already knew and liked the product. The 6-ounce can is a convenient size for recipes, and the lump-style pieces make it useful for crab cakes, dips, soups, or other dishes where you want real crab without dealing with shells or fresh seafood prep. Since the label says to drain it before use, it is easy to keep on hand until needed. I did not personally cook with it, so I cannot speak to the flavor firsthand, but the recipient was happy to receive it and had requested this exact item. Apparently, some people want socks for Christmas and some people want crab meat. 🦀🎄

Not 6 ounces - still good
Beware that this item is 4.25 oz not 6 oz as written in the description. The taste was good with some lumps but mostly flakes. I made crab cakes that were yummy.

Great value for crab
I personally prefer to use can crab over imitation meat or frozen. Great for making crab ragoon. Much more value over fresh or even frozen

To me, this tastes more like a tin can than crab - I will not purchase again
One of the worst I've had - essentially the only flavor was "tin can". No lump pieces I could find. I don't understand how anyone gave this a good rating. More importantly, I'd really like to know a good brand that tastes like... crab.
