Works well. Enabled me to add a throttle.
I bought this because it has a connection for a throttle; the original on my Class 1 trike did not. It came with a 1T3 cable and no throttle. And a fancy "Class 1" decal. This cable (1T4) and a Bafang-compatable throttle works, now I have a working throttle in addition to PAS. Note: the trike had a throttle in its original design before the manufacturer decided to call it a Class 1 trike. I guess a Class 1 decal, and no throttle, saved them some money and signaled virtue, on paper. There is no guarantee that the above approach will work for you.

Direct replacement saves the day
I built our e-bikes with Bafang mid drives and vintage mountain bike frames. We have ridden thousands of miles. My wifeโs bike started acting up and the throttle stopped working. I routed the original cable under the frame and it got chaffed. I could have taken it apart and soldered the throttle wire but this is cheap and easy and I know it will be reliable. Simply cut some zip ties, unplug and replug and then bundle it up again. I routed it over the crank instead of under and I think it will be good for a long time.

Might be all you need to fix your bbshd
works great for the BBSHD - if your having issues this may be a simple fix as damaged wires often cause errors with your motor or display.
