This product is fabulous! The directions said it would work in cold water and when I make the braided Easter sweet bread I put the gigs in the beprais and the recipe says to put them in uncooked. I mixed the dye in cold water and, seriously, they were a beautifully deep red! I then put the water to boil to hard boil the rest of the eggs for the traditional cracking game. I’m so used to making hard boiled eggs where you rinse in cold water that I did that out of habit. That process caused the deep red to fade so they weren’t as deep as the ones that were in the cold water! But after they were dry I oiled them and the color became a bit deeper and all was well! I’d definitely recommend this! It was a bit more expensive but the color was unsurpassed!

I am speechless! When I ordered it I thought it will be a box with a few packages but I was wrong! IT IS ONLY ONE ENVELOPE WITH A PINCH OF THE dye color powder!! FOR 17$!!!!! Unbelievable! They are sold all over the world with a few cents a pack! And the eggs came out ok but with discoloration spots! I still can NOT believe who priced it! I can’t get over it! Very disappointed!

Worked like a charm, close instructions and great color quality. It didn’t stain any of the pots or my hands. Will certainly purchase again for Easter.

This dye provided excellent color and the process was easy, although we followed a protocol from You Tube since most of the instructions were written in Greek. You can color a lot of eggs with one package so if you are doing a smaller quantity, like 10, I would recommend using only half the package.

This is outrageously priced for the minuscule quantity provided. I sincerely regret paying $17 for this.
