Watts Water Technologies GIDDS-1030402 WATTS Expansion Tank

I wasn't sure if this would work, we've had banging pipes for a long time. Well... it absolutely eliminated ALL the banging pipes in my house. We have a front loading washing machine and for 8 years we could tell from anywhere in the house that the washing machine was running. Once I installed this expansion tank, my wife had to go back to the laundry room twice to make sure the washer was actually running. Even I couldn't believe it was working so well. So simple to install but make sure you put enough wraps of teflon tape around the joint. I only put three and had to go back and redo it with 8 to stop a minuscule drip. Also, it can be heavy when half filled with water, make sure you have built a sturdy base. I don't know why they can't weld a bracket to hang these from right on the tank?? Highly recommended if you can hear your pipes when the water is moving through the pipes.

I haven't installed yet, will update in future if disappointed with product. As of now, appears to be of quality construction and sound design. Received in a very timely manner.

Easy to install, works great. Removing old one requires 2 wrenches. Install requires teflon tape, pipe dope, Indoor/House water pressure gauge, small portable compressor to bring the tank up to ambient house water pressure before installation.
