Good USB-C DAC
I actually really love this adapter for my different sets of IEMs and headphones. Running my pairs of KZ headphones and IEMs, like THE KZ PRX, Hifiman Edition XS, and Hifiman HE-R9 sound next level at least compared to the headphone jack on my phone, or on a laptop. Is it desktop amplifier class, no, but it is small, portable and is nice looking. The music sounds a lot clearer coming out of it, and louder than using the standard headphone jack on my phone or laptop. It does get a little warm, but not too concerningly so, overall for $32 not bad.

A Very Analytical DAC
The DAC produces very analytical and clean audio, particularly with filter #4. I'm hearing details in my songs that I've never heard before. It's not overall more enjoyable to listen to than my K11 R2R in either NOS or OS mode, but that's not its claim so it retains five stars. This KA11 is a highly portable DAC that could be used for critical production on, say, a laptop. It easily drives my FT1 non-Pro headphones.

Works great, wonderful entry level dac. Worth every cent.
Fantastic DAC for the Price – Plug-and-Play Audiophile Boost I’ve been using the FiiO KA11 with both my iPhone 15 Pro and a Google Pixel, running it through a USB-C splitter—and it works flawlessly. It was completely plug-and-play, no setup needed. I tested it across multiple apps—Tidal, Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, HBO—and it delivers excellent sound consistently. The clarity and depth really shine, especially when paired with my CCZ Melody and Moondrop Chu2 IEMs. The iPhone’s EQ settings (I love the Late Night preset with the Melody) take it even further. It does warm up after about 15 minutes of use, but I didn’t notice any unusual battery drain. I have over 100 hours of use out of mine so far. Build quality is rock solid—it feels heavier and more premium than you’d expect for a $33 dongle. If you’re looking for a compact, high-quality USB-C DAC/amp that just works and sounds fantastic, this one is well worth it.

Do not buy if you intend to use for console or anything else that requires UAC1.0
I bought this and the FT1 headphones because I wanted to try them out on my ps5, which is where I find I'm spending the most time listening to music. The default UAC2.0 setting does not work with the ps5 so I went ahead and got the app to change the settings to UAC1.0 (because yes you need the app to change the settings, there's no button). Anyway changing the settings to UAC1.0 made it so my phone can no longer detect the KA11, meaning I cannot listen to music on my phone through the KA11, worse I also can't change the settings back to UAC2.0. I decided to try and use my PC to change the settings, but my PC also could not detect the Ka11 on the UAC1.0 setting. While the ps5 can detect the Ka11 once it was changed to UAC1.0, the audio is coming through mostly the left ear piece on the FT1 headphones and I'm getting maybe 1% the volume of the left ear piece on my right ear piece. Meaning the volume on my left ear piece is normal while my right ear piece volume is incredibly quiet. I spent about 4 hours searching for ways to fix these issues and have come up with nothing. Im disappointed and I'm probably just going to return everything. As I have no need for a 32 dollar paper weight or half a set of headphones.

Good sound and power -non replaceable cable
KEY TAKEAWAY, good sound and power BUT cable is starting to die at 6 months. I really like how much power this thing packs for its size and portability, to get that much power it does get a bit toasty and it does take a chunk of your battery life as well. A major flaw is that the cable is not replaceable so when it goes like mine is right now, the whole dac is toast. Overall I think it was a good spend, lasted about 6 months of rough use (probably longer than an Apple dongle) and is more capable than similar products.

Clean, FULL sounding DAC. Excellent choice for use with mobile phones.
Highly recommend this DAC. When the CD changer in my 2008 Honda Accord quit reading CDs I wanted to be able to listen to something other than just the radio. I have Spotify premium and an iPhone 15, and this is how I listen to music 99% of the time. Only problem, the car stereo was made just before Bluetooth became standard, so I couldn't stream to the stereo that way. The solution? Simply use the Aux jack, but OF COURSE the headphone jack had been retired a long time ago by Apple. The solution? A DAC that could convert the digital signal from the phone's USB C port the analogue signal to be sent to the Aux jack (or you could use your favorite wired headphones if you want to do that.) This worked GREAT...as a church cantor, sometimes I'll listen to a recording of the music I'm going to be singing that week in the car, and the choir vocals are clear, the pipe organ rich and full. Keep in mind this is simply being sent to the OEM stereo of a 2008 Honda. I can imagine how awesome it would sound if I actually had a quality aftermarket stereo in that car. It also reveals that car manufacturers often cheap out on the DAC portion of their sound system. Anytime you stream Bluetooth, play a CD or plug your phone in using USB to your car's sound system, that sound system has to do the conversion from digital to analogue requiring a DAC inside the unit to perform that job. If that DAC is poor quality, you the sound will be lot thinner, not as detailed and less balanced. However, you can skip the car's DAC if you do that conversion from your phone into a device such as this and then plug an aux cable into the aux jack of your CAR. This means you're only making use of the CARS analogue amplification, but you fed that system a much higher quality sound to begin with. Sure, you can get the one of the el cheapo DACs that sell for $5 but you'll get what you paid for. Bass will be weak, sound far less detailed. Your car's DAC may even be better in this scenario (assuming you can plug your phone into a USB port in your car, an option that is not available in the 2008 Accord.) Get this device and find out what you've been missing in your recordings. Oh yeah...I also recommend this Aux cable if using in your car: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08BFRFJQJ?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1&th=1

Just buy it...you'll thank me later!
Holy Moley! This thing is AWESOME! I can't believe how potent this is. Frankly, it may be too much for some very sensitive iems. That is you may not be able to turn it down low enough on your device. So far, every single headphone I have plugged into this little gem has been powered wonderfully with solid, articulate bass, treble and liquid smooth mids. None of my cans are especially hard to drive, but I thought the planars might be a challenge. I was wrong, the Fiio FT1 Pros open right up and sound amazing. Same with the Hifiman He 100se...plenty of power to get those sounding their best. This little dongle REALLY get's my AKG K361BT and Fiio FT1s dancing as well. Again, all of these are pretty easy to drive, but man-oh-man does this kick the crap out of the Apple dongle! The Fiio is MUCH more dynamic and helps to present a wider soundstage than the Apple. Granted, it cost significantly more, but it's still an absolute BARGAIN! This is up there, for me, with my Schiit Modi and Magni+ combo for sheer enjoyment. And I'm not tied to the desk when using this. If you're in the market for a USB-C headphone dongle for under $100...this should be first on your list! I liked it so well I bought two so I could have one at home and one at work.

A great DAC
Connect your expensive wired headset to this DAC adapter to turn your iPhone lossless audio into live performances. The sound is SO much better than an ordinary adapter. This adapter gets very warm during use but after days of testing it seems to remain in good shape, although very warm. If your earphones cost more than $200 you NEED this digital to analog converter to hear Apple's lossless brilliance and depth.

Good for quality volume
Does exactly what i needed it for, boosts the volume very nicely. Not double the volume, but extremely notable. Impressive as it also maintains its sound quality. Love it
