nice replacement for the cigarette lighter in my 2010 F150. It has an on/off button which is necessary if the cigarette lighter is not switched off by the ignition key. It lights up blue when turned on.

Years ago I installed a USB outlet similar to this that was was only USB-A in our travel trailer. As phones and devices progressed I needed USB-C. When I saw this, I thought it was perfect especially having a power button. I assumed the power button controlled just the light, not the entire outlet. I was wrong, as it turns out, the blue light shines right into my eyes as I am trying to sleep. Had I known the power button controls the power not just the lights, I would not have bought it. Everything else is of great quality. Just not what I was wanting.

It charges my phone. Using USB-A to USB-C cord, phone went from 66% to 80% in less than 1 hour while the phone was playing my music library through Bluetooth and having Waze map opened in full sunlight It does the job. Installation was easy but I had to remove the end connectors to cramp some that would fit my accessory connector. The on/off button is a must as my accessory feed is always powered. I have a 1999 model SUV that is pre USB compatible. This vehicle is new to me. The cigarette lighter outlets (2ea 1 in dash and one center rear console), are worn, weak and the power adaptors fall out easily. I removed the cigarette lighters because no one smokes in my vehicle and replaced it with this product. I have to say, I’m 100% pleased. I wired them directly into the power wires and works like a charm. I did not need any buck power reducer from 12vdc to 5vdc as expected. I would recommend using this product if you have the skills to remove the cigarette lighter and some basic wiring knowledge.

I bought this to replace the cigarette lighter in my old truck. The lighter hole was 1" and the USB port is about 1.125"so I had to enlarge the lighter hole a bit. Maybe my old eyes are bad but I figured that the gold colored lead was positive but it is negative. Putting them on backwards didn't burn it out so my hats off to the circuit designer. I didn't think I'd need it but the on/off button is a nice feature.

Ordered one pack of two and one was dead on arrival. Vendor quickly replaced with another pack. Installed one of those and it worked for less than a week. It still powers shows it is on from the light that comes on but none of the three ports provide any charge. Probably won’t even try the other one in the pack as the installation location is tough and if it only lasts a week it’s not worth it.
